Yes, good people go to the Bible, hell.... Sheol and Hades refer not to a place of torment but to the common grave of all mankind. (LIVE FOREVER, p. 83) There is something a JW needs to ask themselves: if Hell is only the grave, why do the only the wicked go too it? doesn't everyone go to the grave? The 1929 book Life, states, The dead are not alive in any sense; they are dead, and know not anything. that the dead are actually dead, unconscious, in the tomb, and know not anything until God's due time to awaken them, (Creation, p. 271) when a person is dead he is completely out of existence. He is not conscious of anything. (LIVE FOREVER, p. 88) So then there is no resurrection since this person no longer exists in any form. ...that the dead are actually dead, unconscious, in the tomb, and know not anything until God's due time to awaken them, (Creation, p. 271). Now these scriptures show that man is a soul; that he is subject to death; that he is, therefore, not immortal; and these being true, it must follow that a man when he dies could not immediately go to heaven... or eternal torment, ( p. 268) The result of such a thorough search will be that you cannot find a single text in which either of those original words for 'soul' is connected or associated with such words as 'immortal everlasting eternal or deathless.' There is not one Bible text that states the human soul is immortal. (Let God Be True, p. 69; 1952 ed.). Speaking of Adam ceased to be a breather, or a soul, and went back to the lifeless dust from which he had been taken. It was the reverse of the creation process. No part of him lived on. He went completely into non existence.(Good news to make you happy p.89 1976) Even Jesus was dead, he was unconscious, out of existence. Death did not mean a transition to another life for Jesus; rather nonexistence. (Awake 7/22/1979, p. 27) It is clear that the watchtowers position is that the dead no longer exist in any way, that once someone dies it is over. We cannot speak or hear from them nor they speak or hear from us. But there are always exceptions when the Watchtower wants them to be. The Watchtower Society does teach that it is possible to communicate with the dead in various ways. When 'Pastor' Russell died on October 31, 1916, his followers felt a great sense of loss. The question was being asked, 'Who will we look to for spiritual guidance?' Their reason for this concern was because Russell was declared to be the 'faithful and discreet slave,' meaning that he was the only channel of communication between God and man. (much like Jesus ). The Lord indicated he would use one member of his Church as the channel. . . . (WT 3/1/1923, p. 68) Where does the bible say such a thing? Is Russell greater than the apostle Paul or Peter? did they communicate with the dead or teach others to? So we are to understand the Watchtower does not teach that the dead can communicate with us. But look at the statements from their own inspired publications The J.Ws were at one time reassured that Russell was still with them. In the WT, the following is written by inspiration of angels. 'Hence our dear Pastor, now in glory, is without doubt, manifesting a keen interest in the harvest work, and is permitted by the Lord to exercise some strong influence there upon Lord to exercise some strong influence there upon (Revelation 14:17)' Watchtower, 11/1/1917, p. 325) Though pastor Russell has passed beyond the veil, he is still managing every feature of the harvest work. It also writes that by the Lord's arrangement he is supervising the work yet to be done . (Studies vol.7 p.144)It seems their president is one of the few to live beyond the grave without being annihilated out of existence. How is this possible according to their own true teaching of the Watchtower? But the Watchtower has denounced Spiritism and communication with the dead. In the 11/1/95 Watchtower, the following quote is made. 'Many so-called angelic encounters involve communication with the dead ... But the Bible states that the dead 'are conscious of nothing at all.'... So, receiving messages from them is yet another facet of the angel movement that is not approved of by God. (Watchtower, 11/1/95, p. 6) so why is Watchtower not involved in spirit communication? Inquiring of the dead or seemingly receiving messages from them is yet another facet of the angel movement that is not approved by God. The use of divination as a means to communicate with angels is not uncommon. (Watchtower, 11/1/95, p. 6) . . . the slave class serves as the channel of communication from heaven to earth . . . organizationally the discreet slave class since 1919 has been channeling flow of biblical publications . . . that contain waters of truth... as emanating from God's throne in heaven. (July 15, 1960 WT pg.38) REVELATION book on p. 25 states this new fact
. . the anointed ones already in heaven may be involved in communicating of
divine truths today ... anointed who are non-existent communicating? Or are
they existing, which means God does not bring everyone to non existence, only those
who cannot go to heaven. It is fitting, then, that one of the 24 elders, representing anointed ones already in heaven, should stir John's thinking by raising a pertinent question.'... This suggests that the resurrected ones of the 24-elders group may be involved in the communicating of divine truths today.'(Revelation, Its Grand Climax is at Hand, p. 125,1988) This is a clear practice of Spiritism, and is not approved, but condemned of by God. No one of the temple company will be so foolish as to conclude that some brother (or brethren) at one time amongst them, and who has died and gone to heaven, is now instructing the saints on earth and directing them as to their work. (Jehovah p.191) There are numerous other just as false statements made through the Watchtower about the dead non existent Jehovah's Witnesses in heaven communicating NEW TRUTHS to their organization on earth. Communication from the dead today is known as channeling in the NEW AGE religion but this is the old Spiritism. communication with the dead . . spirits , are demons. Deuteronomy 18:10-12 condemns this practice... There shall not be found among you anyone who is a medium or Spiritist or who consults the dead. Anyone who does these things is an abomination to the Lord. Is this is another case of the Watchtower being condemned by their own words and their ignoring the bible? I think so!
