Beware--The New Bible teachings without words The Bible is a unique collection of sixty-six books, by one original author, God, writing the Scripture through many chosen men who were obedient holy men of God moved by his Holy Spirit. It is a book written over a 1,500 year span from three continents: Asia, Africa, and Europe, in three original languages: Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek. Written by more than 40 authors, from every walk of life. Moses, trained to be a political leader in Egypt and led Israel in the wilderness to the Promise Land, Joshua, a military general. Solomon, a king in the time of peace, David a king in time of war. Nehemiah, a cupbearer, Daniel, a prime minister, Amos, a herdsman, Peter, a fisherman, Luke, a doctor Matthew, a tax collector. They wrote being incarcerated, as Jeremiah wrote in a dungeon, Daniel in captivity with his nation, Paul, a Jewish rabbi who wrote from prison, John exiled on the isle of Patmos. But now we have those who want to change the very structure, the nature of Christianity based on the Bible. What you are about to read should not be taken lightly but with the utmost seriousness. I use just few of the many examples taking place. According to Brian Simmons, author of The Passion Translation that he calls the Bible, “ God’s language is not Hebrew, God’s language is not Greek, God doesn’t speak English. I know the language of God. He told me. It’s picture. God speaks in picture. This is why you dream. What does that tell you? That Simmons is unqualified to translate The WORD for people to read. And people listen to this man! The autographs were originally written in Hebrew, Aramaic or Greek have been translated into many other languages. These men who wrote and those who copied the Scripture were absolutely convinced that to meddle with the text was to offend God. They had respect. But that does not seem to be the case any longer. According to the Simmons standard you need a dream or a vision to hear from God. So the majority of people who have read the Scripture have not really heard from God? That is not hearing God. While we know God has at times spoken by a dream or a vision the New Testament says this Heb. 1:1-2 God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken to us by His Son.” We are told “ faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” (Rom 10:17-18) The mature believer, seeks what is written, not what is NOT written! And this same principle is found in the Old Testament. What of God saying that visions and dreams are like chaff compared to His Word. “ The prophet who has a dream, let him tell a dream; and he who has My word, let him speak My Word faithfully. What is the chaff to the wheat?” Says the LORD “Is not My Word like a fire?” Says the LORD, ‘And like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces ?” God compares the Word (the wheat) to the dreams of the (false) prophets (the chaff which is blown away). Because of their listening to chaff it led the people away from hearing the Word. Are you being misled the same way? Simmons attacks what is ‘the truth’ according to Jesus, He and the Word. He is called the Word. Lk.16 Jesus says for them to read what the prophets wrote (as do the apostles). We are always to read and to get understanding, this means comprehending the words written. The Gnostics, the mystics want to train those to learn by spiritual experiences. This transformation into an emerging new social order that would affect society and the Church, Marilyn Ferguson said, "The premonition was recorded, from time to time, that minority of individuals would someday be yeast enough leaven a whole society. Serving as a magnet culture, they would attract order around them, transforming the whole. The central idea was always the same: Only through a new mind can humanity remake itself, and the potential for such a new mind is natural ." (p. 45 Aquarian Conspiracy) Hers is a "new mind," but it is Not a renewed mind through Christ that will remake humanity into the son of God’s image. Jesus spoke of yeast in parable, Luke 13:20-21 " To what shall I liken the kingdom of God? It is like leaven, which a woman took and hid in three measures of meal till it was all leavened ." He is referring to his spiritual kingdom contained in the church has hidden leaven that eventually rises (leaven is often depicted as the sin of pride) At Bethel church in Redding, "the arts" go even further into the New Age for healing. For instance their arts site also says, "Be sure to check out the art gallery throughout the lobby and hallway of Bethel's College View campus. "One woman who had come to receive prayer in the Healing Rooms was met with an unexpected healing. On her way to a class, in a group of about 15 people, she looked up at Fabiana's family painting on the wall and immediately fell under the power of God. After taking the others to class, the leader returned only to see that another who had tried helping the woman get up and get to class, also fell! When they all finally made it into the classroom, the class broke out in laughter and no official 'class' was able to be taught" Source: bethelredding.com/content/creative-arts They claim there was "power" in that painting that caused some sort of manipulation to heal, to have people fall, collapse and then cause people to laugh! The person that painted it is a member of Bethel Redding and attended their School Of Creativity. Her name is Fabiana Oliveira. One of her bios says, "Fabiana Oliveira is a member of the Prophetic Art Team at Bethel Church and the Healing Room Art Team in Redding, California. She also travels with various teams, bringing instruction and impartation of Kingdom culture through the arts" Here is the example of the three measures of leaven in the church. In keeping aligned with New Age thinking, Bethel promotes arts as prophecy and art / images as a means of healing. People like Fabiana and others being taught these things are not aware of what God said about them in the Scripture because… the word is not their priority. General Ana Mendez of Peter Wagner’s army speaks of prophetic art “ God called me to restore the arts” “ Art is very important because determines the spiritual atmosphere in a place. Art joins together heaven and earth or hell and earth. … Mendez says, Art has a place of worship in the house, we “can worship you (God) with art.” “ ...We can change every atmosphere by changing what we have in our walls .” That God is going to give her “visions and your going to paint these visions” … she then says, “ whatever vision the lord is giving us he is going to manifest in that house… packed with angels and when people take this painting to their homes… angels will visit their homes. whatever vision the lord is giving us, he is going to manifest in that house.”(voice of the light video on website ) She has attributed supernatural power to her paintings, which is a form of idolatry, even though she says it's of God, it is not. When one is into unbiblical power you can always expect this to show in other areas. She goes even further with her hearing from God outside the Word of Scripture, to where she seeks the spirit of Poseidon (a fictional character, a myth), in Antarctica. She claims to have discovered underneath by revelation of God a city of light that will rise. There are many more like her who also have unbiblical fantasies (calling them visions) that are engaging the church to change from the Written Word. Why? Because they do not believe the Word, their Jesus is not the word made flesh. I am the Lord: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images .” (Isaiah 32:8) New age healing codes where you point your fingers to areas of sickness and pray and do code signals with your fingers to bring the energy back into you is not any type of Christian healing. However it is promoted as a newly discovered energy that is biblical, as being part of the image of God in man. This is the changes we see in the NEW Christianity. It is not about the Word which penetrates the mind with communication from God to reach our heart but pictures. This spiritual kingdom that began 2,000 years ago was built on the labor, the dedication of the lives of many that went to many cities and countries to bring the Word of God. They gave their lives to do this and still do. The Bible has been and still is the best selling book in the world, and is given away freely in many places from the hotels, prisons, even on the streets to the homeless. This book is translated into more (the majority) languages than any other book on earth The New Testament is available in 1,521 languages, According to Ethnologue, there are 7,097 known languages in the world. The complete Bible has been translated into approximately 700 languages. 5.7 billion people of 7 billion have it to read. We are told nearly 1.5 billion people, do not have the Bible, however all these figures may be including children, many of whom do not read yet. Jesus said in John 6:33: “ For the bread of God is He who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.” Using typology of the manna that sustained Israel through the wilderness, Jesus is called the bread of life. John 3:31: “ He who comes from above is above all…He who comes from heaven is above all.” John 6:51: “ I am the living bread which came down from heaven.” “And no man has ascended up to heaven, but He that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven ” (John 3:13). Jesus is pointing out that the one they are seeing came from above is living bread, the Father said at the transfiguration to hear him. Yet so many are listening to those who claim to hear from heaven and even visited there coming back with new revelation. They are liars. Our so called prophets in our day mock the Word. “ Behold, I have put My words in your mouth” (Jeremiah 1:9; Ezekiel 2:7, 3:4; Zechariah 1:4-6). These are written down for us to read That which is written, the Word of which says Ps 8:9 “ How excellent is Your name in all the earth! But the Scripture also says in Psalm 138:2 that His Word is exalted above His name. God honors His Word in greater ways than He honors His own name. Psalm 119:160 “The entirety of Your word is truth, v.162 “I rejoice at Your word as one who finds great treasure.” Do you? Or are you listening to the new prophets of the NEW AGE. Jesus said–heaven and earth may pass away but my word will last forever. God has invested in keeping and protecting His Word, for it contains the only true revelation of Himself. It is no wonder that it would be THE target of attacks from the opposer[s]. Scripture says it is God's own words, All Scripture is God-breathed …(2 Timothy 3:16) that is comes from his innermost being, it is the very life of God communicated to man. The men were called prophets was a called out messengers who passed on God's words to the people without any mistake. He had to be 100% correct in what he said, no error, as God gave his thoughts through obedient humans that wrote precisely what he wanted written as he carried them along by His Spirit. The Jewish scribes who copied the scrolls would never have had the audacity to add anything to Gods words, nor to take anything from them. Only false prophets claimed to have new revelation that was contrary to the old revelation already given by the prophets. They scribes did not think they had the authority, the liberty to make any changes in them (Prov.30:6). They knew what they would face if they did. But today the attitude is far different, flippant, lenient, an allowance to say just about anything without being questioned. The majority of preachers, teachers, leaders claim they believe in ‘the Word,’ so why is it that so few teach it today? Why do they not search out a matter to see what is correct? (Prov.25:2; Job.12:11; 1Thess .5:21; 1 Jn.4:1) Paul wrote to Timothy “give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine,” “ Take heed to yourself and to the doctrine. Continue in them, for in doing this you will save both yourself and those who hear you ” (1 Timothy 4:13, 16). Has any of this changed? To some who claim authority it has. Has it for you? Selah. |
