pt.2 Healing Codes -Another way to Heal the heart The following quotes from the Healing codes make it clear what they are trying to do and how it functions. Much more can be said than the short rebuttals. I encourage all Christians who want to avoid New Age practices to discern what is being touted as a “new” way for healing from God when it really is psychology. Alex Loyd states: “It used to be thought that memories were only stored in the brain, but it’s now been proven that energy patterns can be stored at a cellular level. These memories are not like the ones stored in your brain. They are simply bits of stored energy found all over the body. It’s like sending a photo electronically via email. It’s not the actual physical photo that gets sent, but an electronic representation in the form of energy. Cellular memory is that scientists now believe that illnesses, such as cancer, occur when a bad cellular memory replaces a good one. Bad cellular memories can contribute to depression, addiction, and psychological trauma as well. Scientists are working to find out how cells develop these memories, and how they can be changed. Many in the medical community feel that when we get sick, we need to address five core issues: negative emotions, negative thought patterns, conscious beliefs that are not what they should be, actions and behaviors, and the physiology of their body. But Loyd says these five issues are not the ailments themselves, but merely the symptoms of a deeper, underlying problem. He explains that what is really at the core of all illness is what he calls the issues of the heart, or your core spiritual issues. Heal the cell memories, replace the bad ones with good ones, and pain and illness will disappear. As King Solomon said 3000 years ago, “Guard your heart above everything else, for from it flows all of the issues of life.” Addressing matters of the heart, or spiritual beliefs, will allow you to heal your cellular memories. And once the memories have been changed, the cells themselves are able to be healed, and your hypothalamus turns off the stress signals to the body. This, in turn, allows your body to heal. (Cellular Memory and its Role in Healing by Jack Hugo on May 2, 2012) So what he is saying is that cells go bad from experiences, stress; and his new method of healing can remove this damage. “The healing code is not a religious thing it works like gravity, The Healing codes work because of physical laws of nature” It is not a religious process but a physical mechanical process . (Larry Napier- spiritual foundations of healing). If that is so, then why do they refer to it as a spiritual healing? Why do they use the Bible Scriptures to support it?“They will work for this purpose for anyone, regardless of beliefs, just as anyone can use a hoe to dig up weeds. No matter what they believe or look like, no matter what their background is, if they use the hoe in the proper way, they can remove the weeds….In Matthew 13, Jesus says the heart is soil—yet another garden image. The issue is what kind of soil the seed of God’s truth will fall upon. We hope you will use The Healing Code from the book to prepare the soil of your heart to receive all God has for you (Spiritual Underpinnings of The Healing codes)Here we have two concepts laid out that are the basis of this new energy: It deals with the heart, they are quoting the Bible they are referring to God; yet it is not religious, it certainly is spiritual. And we need not get into the semantics of differences. Dr. Loyd believes that the Healing Codes work at a spiritual level. As he said "When we work on the emotion of anger we are really working on a symptom, but when we work on the beliefs that are fueling that anger we are working at a foundational level" (personal communication, 2007), which he believes is the spiritual level. Practitioner Diane Eble “I think people who believe in God have an advantage when using the Healing Codes. It’s an energy medicine, but each session is preceded by a prayer or request, stating your intention in doing the codes. You also focus on a “truth statement” while doing the codes. So you can pray beforehand, then do the Healing Codes while focusing on a spiritual truth. However, if you do not believe in God, you can also just form a “request” before starting the codes, and focus on any truth that is compatible with the issue you’re working on. http://thehealingcodes.com/healingwithenergy http://www.trynaturalhealthcures.com/wp-content/uploads/healing-codes.png"If it works like gravity as they say, regardless of your beliefs, then those who believe in God and pray do not have any advantage; because its not spiritual. But it is spiritual and it is amoral, and lets be candid, there is absolutely no justification for healing energies in the Bible. We are healed “by removing the wrong beliefs embedded in cell memory that you may not even know are there” the Passions of Real Life Legends sponsored by Healthy Wealthy n Wise. http://www.healthywealthynwise.com/pi/t/ALoyd050419.pdf So it is not about being conscious of your past but something that is subconscious, which does change the concept of operation. They state: “When your immune system is shut down, your body becomes the ideal habitat for disease. If you can heal those destructive memories or beliefs, then the destructive energy signal can no longer be transmitted. The immune system is thereby reactivated and it begins to heal whatever condition in your body that needs to be healed. That's why these cellular memories are the key.” http://www.thehealingcode.com/live/?af=1189657 If your immune system is off, then you are susceptible to every disease and you would not last the week. So bad memories make the immune system weak, I would like to see this questioned. Besides, the time element of how long one’s immune system is shut down is crucial to their theory. David Feinstein (2004) cites research that shows that "reactivating a memory makes it vulnerable to events that can change the connections to and from the amygdala that are implicated in conditioned fear." (p. 4) Perhaps when one focuses on the current issue and also remembers an earlier memory that may be related to the issue, this sets the stage for a change to occur. People often report that old memories surface as they do the Codes.” On the same site, The International Journal of Healing and Caring, are articles on the Chakra, Reiki, and most of what one would be accustom to in the New Age area of alternative spiritual practices. http://www.wholistichealingresearch.com/ijhcsearch.html Larry Napier has been Loyd’s spiritual mentor for almost two decades. Together, they put together a series of videos called Living from the Heart. In Living from the Heart, they talk about the importance of treating the root cause of illness, instead of just the symptoms. This involves the Heart. The explanations of Scripture they use to relate to what they are doing are concerning. They believe they have discovered how to heal the heart. The healings for memories are of the heart -- they claim it is in the cell. What is the heart according to the healing code? Are there Memories in the cells? Does memory stress suppress your immune system? Does our brain read our cells? How they explain the cause and their solution for healing: “Stress comes from cellular memories. When you can heal the cellular memories you can change the body on a genetic level. These memories almost always exist on the subconscious level. These memories have anger, fear, sadness, and worthlessness in them. There are thousands of these memories all over your body. These memories are the lies and misinterpretations of our lives and they are transmitting over and over, like a radio station that resonates the main feelings of that memory, like sadness or anger, or any number of other emotions. Those signals are picked up by our brains and that causes the stress switch to get flipped; which releases all sorts of chemicals into the body. The Healing Codes are able to shift the energy in those cells to help people heal and get out of the stress cycle .” (Alex Loyd and The Healing Codes by Jack Hugo on March 21, 2012) Underline mineThe Healing codes explain Wise old King Solomon tells us where the stress comes from in ancient manuscript more than 3,000 years old. Here it is…this can transform your life: “Guard your heart above everything else, for from it flow (all) the issues of life.” The stress comes from the heart. Not the physical heart, the “I love you with all my heart,” heart. What exactly is the “Heart”? It is the storehouse of all of our memories and beliefs. How does this all fit together? Everything that is happening to you right now – whether you’re at work, on vacation, taking a test, in traffic, on the football field – is being run through all of your life experiences. You know these life experiences as “memories.” If you have any beliefs or memories related to what is going on in your life that contain fear, anger, sadness, pain, trauma, disappointment, confusion, etc., there is a mechanism in your brain that will flip the “stress switch.” Over time, stress creates any problem we have in our life. And, one of the first things it does is to turn off your immune system. On the other hand, when you heal the memories that have lies in them (which are our “wrong beliefs”) then the stress decreases and the immune system can turn back on. So The Healing Codes are a spiritual process that helps us heal the spiritual issues of our heart. “ What we cannot remember apparently our cells do (everything). We are told stress turns off our immune system. Heal the lies in your memories (which are our “wrong beliefs”) and the immune system can turn back on. Who decides what is right or wrong, a lie and truth from your memories. This enhances the New Age concept of the answers are within us. They admit the Healing Codes are a spiritual process that helps us heal the spiritual issues of our heart. Is this the truth that can set us free that Jesus talked about? To tell people it is a spiritual process that works for everyone, no matter what religion or non religion you are seems to be a contradiction. Trying to become sinless by removing the hindrances that are the results of sin. We are told the heart is the storehouse of all of our memories and beliefs. I would like to know who decides what is a wrong belief, since we do not consciously. 21st Century Healing System Based on Ancient Spiritual Truth Here is what Loyld writes: 3,000 years ago King Solomon – known throughout the ancient world for his wisdom – gave his people this advice: “Guard your heart above everything else, for from it flow all the issues of life” (Proverbs 4:23). Any problem area in your life that you would like to change is what Solomon called an “issue of life” and he discerned that its origin and therefore its solution is in the heart. The problem here is that Solomon is not telling us to change our
heart but guard it, keep it in check. "What does the Bible mean by the heart? It's your unconscious and subconscious mind plus your conscience and your spirit. It is the spiritual heart of you, where your inmost thoughts and hopes and beliefs and desires reside. There are over 1,100 references to the heart in scripture. If you read through them and then look at the scientific research coming from our medical schools, doctors and authors, you will realize that they are all talking about the same thing. http://thehealingcodes.com/christian-healing-codes/Dr. Alex Loyd, writes on Solomon’s Scripture: "Now, modern science is catching up with Scripture. Modern medical schools and experts have been doing independent research and finding that almost any problem and its solution are in the issues of the heart. They are calling the issues of the heart: Unconscious mind; Subconscious mind; Beliefs; Emotions; Thoughts; Cellular Memories For instance, Dr. Bruce Lipton, a Stanford Medical School Ph.D. and researcher wrote that our heart issues (he identifies them as our beliefs) are the source of almost 100% of illness and disease, and if you heal the heart issue even genetic issues can heal. Similarly, a medical school in Dallas recently reported research that healing the issues of the heart (they identify them as cellular memories) is our best hope for healing incurable illness and disease in the future. And similar research is coming out faster than we can keep track of it. If you compare what Solomon was calling “issues of the heart” with what these cutting edge scientists are discovering – THEY ARE THE SAME THING! And there is a way to address them and heal them! It starts with diagnosing the issues of the heart, which are often hidden to our awareness. That's why I developed the Heart Issues Finder. During my doctoral program in psychology, I began looking for a tool to find and assess the issues of the heart, and found that there was none. So I decided to develop one, using my training in psychmetrics and psychology and a team of experts, including computer programmers. It took us 16 years to develop this tool. To our knowledge, it is the only assessment in the world that accurately identifies the issues of the heart so that you can finally begin to heal the true source of your issues. Sounds like he found the cure all to everything even for those who do not prescribe to the bible as the truth for their lives. Psychmetrics is t he branch of psychology that deals with the design, administration, and interpretation of quantitative tests for the measurement of psychological variables such as intelligence, aptitude, and personality traits. He has been working on this for 16 years? That is before 2001 when the Healing codes were given to him by revelation. The Heart Issues Finder IS: A tool to diagnose the issues of your spiritual and emotional heart – the source of your problems and their solution! We believe, from our testing and feedback, that it diagnoses not only the issues you know about, but also the ones you don’t know about. What are the some of the issues of the heart? Really? Is that what Solomon meant? His quote is from Proverbs the book of wisdom. Much of this book has veritable one liners, but in this portion it does not and should be read in its context: Prov. 4:20-24 “My son, give attention to my words; incline your ear to my sayings. Do not let them depart from your eyes; keep them in the midst of your heart; For they are life to those who find them, and health to all their flesh. Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it spring the issues of life. Put away from you a deceitful mouth, and put perverse lips far from you.” Solomon is pointing to the word for life, to guard your heart and not speak what is untrue. We see Jesus speaking on this same matter and explaining "What comes out of a man, that defiles a man."For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, "thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lewdness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness."All these evil things come from within and defile a man." (Mark 7:20-23) Jesus is referring to the fallen nature of man, every man. This is what is in everyone's heart, and this is why Solomon said to guard the heart. Its about what we say and what we do. It has nothing to do with what the Healing codes are claiming to do.Let’s discover what the Bible actually says about the heart (which is the seat of our emotions feelings): Prov 4:23-24 “Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it spring the issues of life.” “Keep”- natsar- to guard, to watch, to watch over, 2) to preserve, to guard from dangers 5) to be kept close, to be blockaded. “Heart” - leb - a form of 3824; the heart; also used (figuratively) very widely for the feelings, the will and even the intellect; likewise for the centre of anything: (Strong’s) “Issues” - towtsa'ah - outgoing, border, a going out, extremity, end, source, escape. a) outgoing, extremity (used of border) b) source (used of life) c) escape (from death) (Brown, Drivers, Briggs) Is this what Solomon meant? His quote is from Proverbs, the book of wisdom. Much of this book has veritable one liners but in this portion it does not and should be read in its context: Eccl 7:2-5 “Better to go to the house of mourning than to go to the house of feasting, for that is the end of all men; and the living will take it to heart. Sorrow is better than laughter, for by a sad countenance the heart is made better. The heart of the wise is in the house of mourning, but the heart of fools is in the house of mirth. It is better to hear the rebuke of the wise than for a man to hear the song of fools." Jer. 17:9-10 "The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked; who can know it? I, the LORD, search the heart, I test the mind, even to give every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his doings.” As the Psalmists states “Would not God search this out? For He knows the secrets of the heart”(Ps 44:21) Mt. 15:18-19 "But those things which proceed out of the mouth come from the heart, and they defile a man "For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies.” Prov. 3:5-8 "Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths. Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD and depart from evil. It will be health to your flesh, and strength to your bones." The Bible’s solution is to avoid evil, to trust in the Lord. We are told to walk in the light, in the truth, and in the Spirit to have a peaceful and fulfilling life; there is no cure-all to everything that happens in life, especially diseases. If only Jesus discovered this secret, he could have used his healing so much more effectively. But Jesus required faith, not a technique that would be discovered nearly 2,000 years after he was born. And he certainly did not speak of some innate energy in man. Jesus was known as a man of sorrows (Isa.53:3). Why? He was acquainted with our grief. The chief cause of grief is not stress: it is sin (Christ was grieved because of man’s sin). Stress appears when we are unable to cope with something well. It is a symptom not the cause. The Healing codes teach: In the "heart" are stored all the images and beliefs we have encountered and adopted. And these images and beliefs literally reverberate through the cells of our bodies, influencing how we feel, how we act, our relationships, our success, and even our physical health. Jesus said it was out of the heart that the mouth speaks. Elsewhere in the Bible, it talks about the need for a transformation. Transformation is needed not just for the mind, but for the heart” So healing of the whole person starts with healing the heart. Not the physical heart, but this “heart” that is the center and source of everything in our lives. This heart needs healing, and it needs guarding. That’s what The Healing Codes do. In fact, that’s all The Healing Codes do. http://thehealingcodes.com/every-issue-is-a-heart-issue/Rom. 1:21-22: “Because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Professing to be wise, they became fools.” Jesus said, “But those things which proceed out of the mouth come from the heart, and they defile a man.” The sin nature affects the immaterial part of man, which consequently affects our outward actions. We sin because we have the nature of sin in us. Sin has its roots in the heart and influences the intellect and will; it then finds its expression through the body (Prov. 4:3; Mt. 15:19-20; Lk. 6:45; Heb. 3:12.) The sin nature is the basis for all sinful habits. The Bible is clear from the first book to the last - Eccl. 7:20: “For there is not a just man on earth who does good and does not sin.”To heal the heart according to the Bible is to heal sin. What the Healing codes are claiming is to heal the sin nature a different way than the Bible (i.e., the message of the Cross). The heart is used as a synonym for our spirit. This means the innermost being of man - our spirit has sin. The only solution is God’s solution - change the heart. How? By the new birth which takes place on the inside of man. From this, we are given His Spirit which brings a new nature to counter the effects of sin. Jesus said the Holy Spirit would be sent to: “convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment” (Jn. 16:8). He is pleading, “The Holy Spirit says: “Today, if you will hear His voice, Do not harden your hearts” (Heb.3:7). The heart cannot be changed until it is convinced. So there must be a willful trust that a certain proposition is true, then one is persuaded and convinced of the truth and affirms it, they trust it - that is faith. Rom. 5:5 “[T]he love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.” As we abide in Him (Jn.15:4) we are continually conformed to Christ’s likeness by FAITH and his attributes and characteristics are seen in us. Eph 3:.17: “that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith.” God who alone knows our heart. It is a work of the Spirit, which circumcises the heart that can only be done by God. Eph. 5:9: “(for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth),” the Holy Spirit produces fruit, the character of Jesus in us. “The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control” (Gal. 5:22-23). But now we are told there is new way for everyone (by God), and it works equally well. Acts 15:7-11: “So God, who knows the heart, acknowledged them by giving them the Holy Spirit, just as He did to us, and made no distinction between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith.”
