Are the 144,000 Jews selected evangelists in the tribulation?

Jesus in Mt.24 tells us the future scenario…

Matt 24:9 “Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name's sake.” This will be a repeated pattern in history to the end, where it would become most severe.

V.14-15 “And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.” Therefore when you see the 'abomination of desolation,' spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place” (whoever reads, let him understand)”

V.21 “For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be.” Jer.30:4-7 calls this the time of Jacobs troubles relating specifically to the Jewish people, they will be the focus in a number of ways.

So we are told the timing, it will occur in the Tribulation before the age concludes.

This occurring fits during the tribulation period, the abomination in the Jewish temple where all of Israel flees, but the gospel is being preached by 144,000 sealed Jews to all the world and then the end will come - the end of the age, when Jesus will return.

Consider: if the church is gone (either by rapture or apostasy) God turns his focus on those whom first rejected the Messiah (the first will be last). During this time Jerusalem has two prophets assigned to it, the mark of the beast and the allegiance to the antichrist are employed. Saints are systematically eliminated and just before the major judgments (Rev.8 the last seal opened) get poured out on the earth the Lord anoints 144,000 Jews (all of Rev. 7, 7:4) for a specific purpose. 12,000 Jews are selected from each of the twelve tribes, equalling 144,000 to follow Jesus wherever he goes during the first half of the tribulation. This is separate group of Jews who believe in Jesus (Yeshua) have song specifically for their group, “and no one could learn that song except the hundred and forty-four thousand who were redeemed from the earth. “ These are the ones who follow the Lamb wherever He goes. These were redeemed from among men, being firstfruits to God and to the Lamb.” (Rev. 14:3- 4).

It implies they are specifically chosen and their ministry is led by Jesus. In the same way the disciples were sent out to give the gospel this will be far more extensive and exclusive.

In Daniel 12:5-7 Daniel, in his vision asks HOW long shall it be to the end of these wonders? He heard “It shall be for a time, times, and a half; and when they have made an end of breaking in pieces the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished.” (3 1/2 years)

Daniel 9:24, tells us Israels rebellion (“to finish the transgression” “transgress” meaning to rebel) will end at the end of the last week; 70 weeks will be completed when the tribulation ends. The judgments cover the whole period. The tribulation purges (2/3 of the nation of Israel), Zech.13:8 1/3rd survive the tribulation, 2/3 do not as they enter into the covenant the false messiah. The faithful remnant go through the 7 years.

This refines Israel into a new nation to enter into the Promised Land and enjoy the Millennium under the rule of their Messiah. They will be all believers (Zech.12:10), a nation of believers as Rom.11 states.

In the middle of the tribulation which coincides with the false messiah entering the temple we read what happens to the saints Rev 13:7 “It was granted to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them. And authority was given him over every tribe, tongue, and nation. During the 70th week the devil WILL overcome the saints (called the tribulation saints). Since the saints are being killed in the tribulation these particular believers (144,000) are able to go throughout the world.

Even though there is a movement for Jews to return to Israel the majority of Jews have been scattered all over the world since their dispersion in 70 AD. Living in other countries they will know the different languages. They will continue the Commission the Church has done for the last 2,000 years. The Gospel will go world-wide and everyone on earth will hear it!

Rev 7:4 “And I heard the number of those who were sealed. One hundred and forty-four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel were sealed:

Remember that the 144,000 follow the lamb. It is following their being sealed that it says:

Rev. 14:1 “Then I looked, and behold, a Lamb standing on Mount Zion, and with Him one hundred and forty-four thousand, having His Father's name written on their foreheads.” John has a vision of the return of Jesus

Following the vision of the 144,000 Jews in the first part of Revelation 7, John saw the results of the ministry of these Jewish evangelists in verses

Rev. 7:9-10 “After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could number, of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, with palm branches in their hands, and crying out with a loud voice, saying, "Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!"

V.13-14 Then one of the elders answered, saying to me, "Who are these arrayed in white robes, and where did they come from?" And I said to him, "Sir, you know." So he said to me, "These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.”

After the vision of the 144,000 Jews, John saw myriads and myriads of Gentiles and Jews who have come to a saving knowledge of the Saviour during the tribulation period, this is the latter rain. Chronologically we can see a cause and effect relationship of their sealing and ministry in Revelation 7: after these things. Through the 144,000 sealed Jews scattered all over the world, God brings a world-wide revival that leads up to the end of the age.
