What is the meaning of Pilate’s wife’s dream?

Matt 27:19: “While he was sitting on the judgment seat, his wife sent to him, saying, "Have nothing to do with that just Man, for I have suffered many things today in a dream because of Him.

Was Pilates wife’s dream from God? It does not make sense that it would be because God wanted Jesus to go to the cross and this was the means He was using to have Him crucified (Lk.22:42). Satan wanted him dead but not at this time or this way. It was his last ditch attempt. He sent Pilate’s wife the dream to have Pilate cancel Jesus’ crucifixion and prevent Scripture from taking place. But instead Bar abbas was let free and Jesus was crucified because of the religious mob that spoke out against him; fulfilling Matt. 21:38-39, of the vinedressers seeing the son, recognizing he is the heir and intended to kill him.

If Jesus died any other way or another day it would not have been accepted, He had to be the Passover sacrifice as prophesied in Scripture. He was to be the Passover lamb. It says it pleased God to bruise him.

Jesus told his disciples numerous times Matt 20:18: "Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be betrayed to the chief priests and to the scribes; and they will condemn Him to death.”

Heb. 12:2: “for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame.”

Jesus’ whole purpose “I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me”(John 6:38).

God’s will is explained in Heb. 10:7-10 “Then I said, 'Behold, I have come -- In the volume of the book it is written of Me--To do Your will, O God.' " Previously saying, "Sacrifice and offering, burnt offerings, and offerings for sin You did not desire, nor had pleasure in them" (which are offered according to the law), then He said, "Behold, I have come to do Your will, O God." He takes away the first that He may establish the second. By that will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.” The second is the new covenant which annulled Moses covenant when it was completed.
