The Silence of the Lambs What unity is this? Uniting with those who have another gospel, another Jesus hurts the cause of Christ in so many ways, it does not in anyway further Christ’s influence. So many who the name of Christ are seen on stage at events with new agers and cult preachers and with many others with those who hold to another gospel. This is hard to accept that we are at this latter phase in the apostasy, but it is, and it will only get worse. In fact it may turn on us as if we are the ones who are heretics. Let me explain: What You will find that nearly every false teacher has their statement of faith on paper correct on the nature of God. But in practice it is the opposite. It becomes obvious that if you use the Holy Spirit as a force (as the Latter Rain and certain Charismatic's do, he can’t be God), because you control him, He does not control you. What kind of unity does the Bible speak of? Unity is one of the more important objectives for the Church to hold to. Our spiritual unity has a two fold purpose to show the world whom we serve, presenting who Jesus is to them. The context of John 17 is necessary to understand this unity for the Church. For it is based on salvation and Truth. It is not a unity of Christians that ignore doctrinal differences for fellowship. The unity of John 17 describes is unity of the Spirit by God (John 17:11). There is nothing in Christ's prayer to indicate that men are to do something to create the unity for which He prayed. John 17 is a prayer addressed to God the Father, not to men, it is something God has already done. The prayer was answered almost 2,000 years ago. It is a spiritual reality which was created by God among genuine believers who are committed to the truth in the Scriptures. The unity of John 17 is a unity in truth. Jesus prayed for the oneness of the church. In John 17:9 he makes this clear: “I pray for them. I do not pray for the world but for those whom You have given Me, for they are Yours,” v.11: “that they may be one as We are.” and “for those who will believe in Me through their word” (v.20). This prayer has already been answered by our being part of His body, the Church. We are spiritually baptized into him and He resides in us (1 Cor.12:13). What we are now to do is maintain the unity of the faith that was given to every genuine believer, This is what we are to participate in and uphold. Unfortunately I have had more pastors come against this when I bring the matter to their attention of a certain individual that is not in this unity and promoting it to others. Christ emphasized that He was praying for those who love and obey the Word of God. This is certainly not a prayer for what we see taking place in the modern ecumenical movement that ignores the Word of God for the sake of united front that is based on the lowest-common-denominator to sustain moral traditions in culture. Eph. 4:3 “with all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love, endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.” Phil 3:16 ' Nevertheless, to the degree that we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us be of the same mind.' To keep the unity means to maintain what we already have received, to preserve it from any distortion, corruption, confusion which can come by inside influences. It’s not the cults that are main disturbers of this unity in the faith but the false teachers inside the church. It is THE problem that Jesus and the apostles addressed directly for the last days. Our unity is in the truth, which is the Word of truth 1 Cor. 1:10 “ Now I plead with you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.” We need to watch out for those who are silent in the face of false gospels and evil that disguises itself as the truth to believers. We are not to allow anyone to preach another Jesus,or to receive another spirit, or another gospel, which they have tolerance for and ignore. We are to speak up. Satan has a numerous preachers at his disposal to deceive the Church, which is his first target . Remember Jesus said at the end of the age where he lists the events that would take place (for us to know what the end is,) and he tells us “see to it that no one deceives you.” This is of the utmost importance to survive this time which will be like no other time in the history of mankind. What are some of the main false teachings of our day we are to watch out for... The Prosperity gospel. God intends Christians to prosper materially, to live luxuriously with large houses and cars because we are now under the king of the universes care. We are warned about covetousness and pursuing mammon, money, that it can entrap us by having affections so easily. We are to be content with what we have and not pursue riches. We are little gods. That God Spirit who lives in us has changed our human naure and we have the same abilities that Christ has and that are no longer human but like little Messiahs as christ followers. We can speak things into existence like God (Rom.4:17),all that can Jesus did we can do, which is lie similar to the one Satan gave to him when he tempted him in the desert before his ministry began. Are you going to believe liars who distort and mangle the Word? That’s my question to those who go to Church that are supposed to believe in Gods Word over any mans. Do you believe what they say or what God says? Let me give an example... Rom 4:16-19 speaking of the faith of Abraham, who is the father of many nations" “in the presence of Him whom he believed--God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did ; who, contrary to hope, in hope believed, so that he became the father of many nations, according to what was spoken, "So shall your descendants be." Abraham believed God, and what God said to him took place.
These wanna be gods quote the end of Romans 4:17 removing it out of its
context. “who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not
as though they were.” Taking what is only attributed to God to also
be attributed to them, they have this ability. Lats read this
carefully--Rom. 4:17 is quoted “
who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as
though they did;”
They give this ability and glory to man, which not of Gods spirit but the spirit of antichrist. Signs and wonders. They tell the Church that All Christians are to perform miracles everywhere they go (Mk.16:16), healing the sick and manifesting the Holy Spirit’s power for miracles because we have the same nature of Christ. But the Scripture says over and over the apostles (chosen by Jesus of whom Paul is last one in succession) we able to do these signs and wonders, not everyone in the church. We are told to give the gospel to people, not miracles. The Word of God was always presented first to save people from their sins. Again this is a focus on us, the power they falsely claim is invested in us to manifest. Kingdom now. The Church is given spiritual power and dominion to reform the entire social, economic and political world order to be in under Christian government. God has never called the Church to do this. We will have no perfect government until Jesus our Messiah returns, we do the best with what we have in being salt and light to the culture. The offices of apostle, prophet being restored to the church. These two offices are called foundation as ministries to the church (along with the other three functioning, Eph. 4:11-13). A new revolution in the 1940’s time of revival introduced the concept to all denominations of the prophets and apostles to be reenacted to have a top-down form of government. The latter Rain Movement has numerous fellowships today referred to as "Restoration Churches." The Latter Rain movement never became a separate denomination but its teachings have been accepted and permeated the majority of churches. Many have become comfortable with contradictions of this movement with the Word; and are more than willing to take the chance and move into unknown territory that was promoted by the healing revivalist William Branham in the late 40’s. He taught the seven churches in the book of Revelation are seven church ages and he convinced many he is the angel of the seventh church age (the prophet of Laodicea church). Teaching a remnant of people are receiving Gods Spirit poured out on all flesh, reulting in appointed apostles and prophets with many prophets words on the last wave of God's glory taking place. We become the head not the tail, which is all unbiblical. This is what The Vineyard churches became and what Peter Wagner carried from Wimber to begin the NAR in 2000. Israel is forsaken. Israel is no longer in covenant with God and rejected as a people. The church is now the Israel of God, so she has all the blessings, and Israel has all the cursings. As a theocracy Israel was given the Sh'ma, Deut.6:4, they were the only nation under God directly, called the apple of his eye. But they forsook their calling (temporarily) but are promised by God to be restored (Rom.11) in these last days which is included in Jesus explanation in Mt.24. Israel is saved. She already has salvation with God under the old covenant and does not need to believe in the gospel. This is the other extreme that is just as wrong. We are sinless. We do not need to wait for the resurrection because we are cleansed from sin, we are already like Jesus, as little Christ's, we do not sin because we are saints. This is what is termed over-realized eschatology, applying a future event to today. We are still being sanctified being changed by faith until the day the whole church is changed together Baptism. Many church goers have been convinced that baptism, their confirmation or their own good works have given them acceptance by God. They assume they are saved from sin without exercising faith in the gospel, and not identifying correctly who the savior is. The Bible tells us neither works, the law, nor water saves anyone. It is by by grace through faith that salvation takes place. Nor is there a seperate baptism of fire from the Spirit baptism (that put one into Christ's body, the church.) that will do change us further in sanctification and cleansing of sin. It is a faith without works which came through trusting Christ’s sacrifice for sin on the cross, this is the only basis on which God forgives sins. Universalism.Accepting Jesus died for all and all will be saved whether they believe the gospel or not. The Bible says consistently over 200 times salvation comes by believing, not by not believing. This do nothing gospel brings nothing. There is an eternal punishment for not changing ones status of rejecting Christ and eternal life only given by those who exercise faith. What does it take for you to be disturbed enough to say something about a teacher you find out is teaching falsely and formerly went unnoticed by you? Maybe it is someone you have been listening to for years or even tithed to and were under the impression that you benefitted from their teaching, and then you find out they believe in some very strange unbiblical teachings, do you stay or do you go? Paul spoke of the apostles as examples for us, “But as we have been approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel, even so we speak, not as pleasing men, but God who tests our hearts. For neither at any time did we use flattering words, as you know, nor a cloak for covetousness--God is witness. Nor did we seek glory from men, either from you or from others” (1 Thess. 2:4-6) Of the last days, he speaks of when error and heresy have intruded in the church which results in a departure from the faith in the latter time, is what we see today. These popular unbiblical teachers are liked because of how they speak but their listeners ignore the content, the substance that is to correlate to the Scripture, which is truth. Why would you want to unite with those who change or deny the word? Why would you unite with those who deny his deity as the Son of God making him a different Jesus. What do you do when you find out you were taken for a ride? That someone removed you from the truth? You leave without hesitation and find those who teach correctly who love the truth and actually care for you. If you want to know the teachers to avoid just go this website and see how they lift up individuals as being amazing, awesome, being spirit practitioner's like those in the New Age movement, as mystics they have a different Christ. This is what you want to avoid. http://www.jesusschoolofsupernaturalministry.com/JSSM/inthechurch/inthechurch.html Those promoting these men and women have absolutely no Accurate Bible knowledge of the truth, untaught of the truth they mislead others just as we we foretold in would appen in the latter days. They have no discernment of truth from error, because they change the meaning s in the Word of God, the majority of the known false teachers in the church today teach these doctrines mentioned. These are a danger to you and your family We need to be guard for those that teach these and other ‘strange doctrines,’ as they want to silence the voices who discern and challenge their errors by pursuing the truth. We have every right to defend the Scripture and protect our brothers and sisters from the lies that will mislead them, that is love in action.
