Where are we are today (America in Gods timeline) … l/l/98 regarding a statement made by former U.S. congressman from Nebraska, Peter Hoagland. I quote the statement from the book manuscript. "Fundamental, Bible-believing people do not have the right to indoctrinate their children in their religious beliefs because we, the state, are preparing them for the year 2000, when America will be part of ne-world order global society and their children will not fit in." What do you think of that? Though this has not been produced on their scheduled time. Is it possible that we will wake up one day to find we have suddenly been thrust into a system contrary to our biblical beliefs our beliefs and practices of freedom and wonder how we got there? If you think this statement is offensive, what I have heard is far worse recently. So many are working for a global government that encompasses the world they are willing to sacrifice our lives, our system of Government based on freedom to achieve it. Many think they will be excluded, immune to this new social totalitarianism; they will not! It will consume all of us. Just listen to the world economic forms goals to understand where we are heading. Ps 36:4 “ An oracle within my heart concerning the transgression of the wicked: There is no fear of God before his eyes. For he flatters himself in his own eyes, (elitists) When he finds out his iniquity and when he hates. The words of his mouth are wickedness and deceit; He has ceased to be wise and to do good. He devises wickedness on his bed; He sets himself in a way that is not good; He does not abhor evil.” Evil will always triumph over good if God’s standards are abandoned and not upheld. It is the way the Lord has set things up. Jer. 4:22 " For My people are foolish, They have not known Me. They are silly children, And they have no understanding. They are wise to do evil, But to do good they have no knowledge." What an indictment on Israel who were to train their children up in the ways of the Lord (Deut.6). Yet we, in America who exported more Bibles and the gospel are now repeating this same mistake. We are a nation that once promoted the gospel, who understood what is good and evil, but now it is the opposite - many call evil good, and the actual gospel that is about the God who became man, who came to be the savior is no longer explained. Ps. 33:10-12 “ The LORD brings the counsel of the nations to nothing; He makes the plans of the peoples of no effect. The counsel of the LORD stands forever, The plans of His heart to all generations. Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD, The people He has chosen as His own inheritance.” The only nation God chose was Israel, the only nation in history that chose God and his ways was America. But as time has gone by we have allowed other influences to capture the younger generation and it has changed our culture and morality. It has had us forget the Lord and in its place is man, Jesus said, a servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you.” Paul wrote, “All who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution .” Maturity cannot be accomplished by allowing people to gorge on desert while ignoring the meat. We have enjoyed our freedom and prosperity without being vigilant and we are reaping the whirlwind because of our neglect. Those whose approach to life is not about liberty to pursue happiness have coalesced to oppose the foundation of our country. Acts 14:22 “We must through many tribulations enter the kingdom of God.” We are promised persecution, tribulations in the world; trials for our faith. What do we think it will be like for the generation that gets closer to the Lords coming? It will be no different than the first generation of the church after Jesus left to prepare us a home. Gnosticism, mysticism was the first counterfeit to infiltrate the church and it will be the same in the end. The church that holds to the Word of God is being challenged from within and persecuted from without. The world is in convulsions, politically, spiritually and physically, just as the Bible said it would be at the end of the age. Mt.24 is our reality. We are watching the demise of many things we once held precious. A simultaneous crumbling of America as a nation and the church is taking place. It is coming from within. The church has exchanged evangelism and replaced it by manmade methods and solutions to produce numbers, and members not disciples of Christ. The focus has shifted from Christ to our programs. When the church neglects its mission, it moves its people away from active compassion for the lost and becomes introverted, self – focused, and it implodes like anything else. Pastors are considered to be a CEO and conduct themselves more like politicians than shepherds that do not prevent the sheep from poison. Jesus said at the end, the love of many will grow cold. (Matt 24:12) To the church of Ephesus on leaving their first love (which made them cold) “repent and do the first works, or else I will come to you quickly and remove your lampstand from its place--unless you repent.” (Rv. 2:5-6) If we look at the book of Paul wrote to Ephesians we find a theme and understand better what John has written. Eph. 1:15-16 “I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints, 4:2-3 “ bearing with one another in love, endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace 4:16 “speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ”and Eph 5:1-2 “ Therefore be imitators of God as dear children. And walk in love” Becoming Aware of the world means we are Awake and Alive, Rom. 13:11-12: “And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light.” We are far closer to the end and much further away from the beginning. The night is upon us and the day of christ comes near, we are told what to do if we are to survive. Eph. 5:11-17: “And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them. For it is shameful even to speak of those things which are done by them in secret. But all things that are exposed are made manifest by the light, for whatever makes manifest is light. Therefore He says: ‘Awake, you who sleep, arise from the dead, and Christ will give you light.’ See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is.” Dangerous days are not ahead of us, they are upon us. We are living in perilous/dangerous days. The time we live in is one of perplexity, the world is unraveling. The world is being reshaped into something that we have not seen before. We are being gamed, to be integrated into a new global system of governing. The Bible calls what we are experiencing now as the last days, the end of the age. Confusion, deception, turmoil, times of distress, unrest, lawlessness, hatred of the truth are all taking place at an unprecedented scale simultaneously. None of these points are described are segregated; they all seem to be happening simultaneously. Jesus said, “See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.” And it is affecting us all to one degree or another. The pieces are being put in place - do we recognize it? Many do not, even some who believe the Bible do not see it. Why? They have been taught a different view of the last days. Some actually think things are getting better, a progression until the kingdom appears. This spiritual paradigm bring a “radical reshaping” of our culture. Many wonder why so few are seeing the obvious flaws, inconsistencies and hypocrisies on display. There has been an answer that is overlooked. There is a spiritual- emotional component to what is taking place. The population is being diapraxed, completely unaware of the mechanics that is working on them-a cognitive dissonance unlike any before. You are either participating in this worldly process or withstanding it. It takes strong independent thinkers to not have this process of illogical, spiritual and emotional influence work on them. It takes being stable in the Word, living by it as best as possible and most importantly having your eyes open. People believe a lie more easily than the truth. Why? Because to get to the truth it can involve work, it can take time, they investigate both sides of an issue. Lies can be accepted without any scrutiny by using feelings which cannot determine truth. With so much information we can accessed at lightning speed the truth is rarer to be heard in our day then at any time in recent history. People are quite content to be fed misinformation or disinformation by the media and the church, as long as it makes them feel good. Taking away any apprehension their concerns are caponized and they are lulled into security. There is a difference between telling ‘the truth’ and telling some of the truth. These half - truths become lies which often result in far quicker a response, they impresses people. The truth stays the same – it does not change because it is an absolute. The Bible says no lie is of the truth (1 Jn.2). We live in an age that is indicative of lies (using them to bring change). It is a time of great upheaval, a rebellion against what we know to be replaced by what is unknown. We find other influences that are severing the country from its constitution the same is happening in the church being severed from the Word. In politics many ignore the constitution, the laws and the freedoms that we are to uphold. In your face “policy changes” by the “change agents” in government that want to move us away from the constitution to be conformed by an new international consensus. This is not just in America, but every sovereign country is targeted for this change. Government cannot replace God, but for many it has become liken to a religion. Communism has always been a competing force against biblical Christianity. It intent is to have you abandoned the Bible, God. It was the progressive Liberal churches that were among the first to embrace the postmodern thinking, forge religious partnerships, unification with other religions. To have a “new world order” a global government America can no longer be the world’s leading nation, but must be adjusted to be one among many. This unity can be a mix of dangerous proportions. Babylon is forming and its spiritual unity is a powerful force for world change. Expanding the authority of international agencies (UN) influence on the US and other democratic countries changes the seat of power. You can’t imagine what kind of change of life would be implemented by global supervision from these ‘other’ governmental bodies on central banking, education and the Judeo/ Christian traditions on America. But we are in the world and the world should know from us there is another way, a better way. Jesus prays in John 17:15-17 “I do not pray that You should take them out of the world, but that You should keep them from the evil one."They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world." Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth.V. 19"And for their sakes I sanctify Myself, that they also may be sanctified by the truth.” We already have a world ruler, Satan rules this worlds system, it is fallen and under his jurisdiction for the time being. He and his invisible conglomerate control, manipulate the system that is under him directly or indirectly through his representatives he has placed in it. What happens when it is time for his visibility? Are we prepared? As believers we are carriers of the message of truth in a world that is darkened and filled with falsehood. 1 John 3:1 the world does not know us, because it did not know Him.” Whatever is not of the truth (the Word) is to be rejected for our spiritual living. This principle that is found in the Old Testament is certainly is developed in the New-- Ps 112:7: “He will not be afraid of evil tidings; his heart is steadfast, trusting in the LORD. The Hebrew word kuwn means established or fixed. Its meaning when applied is to be stable, to be at peace and not be shaken at what you experience or see coming. The way things are unfolding I would assume they are going to become more difficult to face. “Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight ! (Isa. 5:17-21) As the days become darker we are to shine brighter. Have you ever been to a child’s birth? It can certainly tax your patience and stamina, especially when it takes time. We are watching the labor pains increase, as so many things relative to Bible prophecy fulfillment are being put into place. Prophecy is no longer in the distance unable to be seen but is becoming larger, its gathering storm clouds are soon to rain upon us. We are in the time period- Jesus called a season, a period before the end. Mt.24 mentions the increase of Diseases, earthquakes, reports of war, overthrows of government. 2 Tim.3 mentions the rise of distrust, treaty breaking, lying, deception, all sorts of sins increasing and a form of religion without the power being accepted. These are the signs that are taking place- but the end is not yet. In the meantime we are going to see an increase in violence, and deception. Jesus said in Mt. 24 deception will indicative of this season. Prov. 30:5 “Every word of God is pure; He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him.’ If we allow the Word to have priority, and guide us we will see things for what they are and not be misled by anyone’s persuasion. Prov. 3:5-6 “ Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.” Throughout the Psalms we read of the Lords face shine upon us to keep us. As the Barucha upon Israel is spoken,Num. 6:24-26 "The LORD bless you and keep you; the LORD make His face shine upon you, And be gracious to you; the LORD lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace."' As the Psalmist wrote Ps 31:14-16 “But as for me, I trust in You, O LORD;I say, "You are my God." My times are in Your hand; Deliver me from the hand of my enemies, And from those who persecute me. Make Your face shine upon Your servant; Save me for Your mercies' sake.”
