It's Jubilee!

Apologetics is for one to give an answer to those outside the Church; polemics are to give answers to those things inside. In its infancy the Church was just as involved in polemics as it was to reach outside its walls. Many of the epistles are to correct error from inside body because God is first concerned what goes on with people, before his people can affect others correctly. But the church has become more concerned with needing money to go out to the world and because of this it has given rise to some new teachings inside its walls.

TBN (Trinity Broadcasting Network) and LeSea Broadcasting have had the door opened to numerous opportunities, tremendous ones. Imagine having the ability to give the unchanging Gospel of Christ to almost every nation on earth. But with these opportunities comes great responsibility. Sometimes things done under the banner of Christ can have one leave their responsibility by the wayside. There are some disturbing trends emerging on these networks that need to be exposed and looked at by every Christian.

They promise prosperity, increase, that blessings will overtake you, a Jubilee anointing where debt's canceled. They have miracle cloths, miracle TV, miracle crusades, your miracles are always coming your way. You just need to receive them, put your hand out and touch your TV, etc. From what we see and hear on Christian TV one would think the Church has never been in better shape, were fit and ready to roll anywhere as evangelistic servants, right? Not quite. The Church has never wobbled more than she is today and its all because we’ve bought into the false advertising of the Christian vendors.

Today on both TBN and LeSea network Christian broadcasts we see the newest ruse in bilking people who are Biblically illiterate out of their money, that should be going to the local church. The Jubilee scam is the newest get rich scheme for Christian’s, which was strictly intended for Israel and their land.

What is the Jubilee? It's found in Lev.25 It is related to the Sabbatical year and the general instructions for its observance are found in Lev. 25:8-16,23-55. Its relation is to lands dedicated to the Lord are given in 27:16-25.

1.”Personal Liberty: The 50th year was to be a time in which liberty should be proclaimed to all the inhabitants of the country. We should, indeed, diminish the import of this institution if we should apply it only to those who were to be freed from the bonds of physical servitude. Undoubtedly, they must have been the foremost in realizing its beneficial effects. But the law was intended to benefit all, the masters as well as the servants. They should never lose sight of their being brothers and citizens of the theocratic kingdom. They owed their life to God and were subject to His sovereign will. Only through loyalty to Him were they free and could ever hope to be free and independent of all other masters.

2. Restitution of Property: The institution of the Jubilee Year should become the means of fixing the price of real property (25:15 f; compare verses 25-28); moreover, it should exclude the possibility of selling any piece of land permanently (25:23), the next verse furnishing the motive: “The land is mine: for ye are strangers and sojourners with me.” The same rule was to be applied to dwelling-houses outside of the walled cities (25:31), and also to the houses owned by Levites, although they were built within walled cities (verse 32).

In the same manner the price of Hebrew slaves was to vary according to the proximity of the Jubilee 7 Year (25:47-54). This passage deals with the enslaving of a Hebrew by a foreigner living among the Jews; it goes without saying that the same rule would hold good in the case of a Hebrew selling himself to one of his own people.

(Reversion of Landed Property Lev. 25:10-34; 27:16-24. The law of Moses provided that all the Promised Land was to be divided by lot among the Israelites, and then it was to remain absolutely inalienable. Therefore, at Jubilee all property in fields and houses situated in villages or unwalled towns, which the owner had been obliged to sell through poverty and that had not been redeemed, was to revert without payment to its original owner or his lawful heirs. The only exceptions were houses in walled cities, which remained with the buyer unless redeemed within one year 25:29-30, and those fields which, unless redeemed by the owner, had been sold and thereby rendered unredeemable 27:17-21, in which case they reverted to the priests ( New Unger's Bible Dictionary)

Lets say you bought a house or a car today and it was repossessed because you could not keep up with the payments. It was to be returned to you in this year. This proves this is exclusively for the Israelites and not Christians, since we as a nation are not under theocratic law because everyone would receive its benefits.

The law stated three facets in which the Jubilee was to be hallowed, separated from other years: 1) rest for the soil, 2) reversion of landed property, 3) and manumission of Israelites.

Rest for the Soil. No sowing, or reaping, or gathering from the unpruned vine (Lev. 25:11). Thus the soil enjoyed a rest, man was freed from their labor of sowing and reaping, having a blessed rest he was to enjoy the surplus provided by the Lord in the sixth year (vs. 21).

Israel is celebrating its fiftieth year in the land but this is not an official Jubilee. the Jubilee was a practical way for Israel as a nation to prosper

Steve Munson, Bro. Shambach and Rod Parsley, Kenneth Copeland, Benny Hinn etc. point to Luke 4:17-19: “And when He had opened the book, He found the place where it was written: “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; he has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed; To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.”

If this is true what they are saying that this year is the Jubilee then there is a huge problem with their arithmetic. Lets take a look. Most scholars and historians agree Jesus was born anywhere from 3-6 BC. This reference in Lk.4 is when he starts his ministry at the age of thirty years approximately (Lk.3:23) . So this occurred somewhere between the date of 25- 29 AD. A Jubilee year is to be every fifty years so if we count by every 2 jubilee years as one hundred years, we have 19 jubilee years from Christ to today which brings us to the date of around 1977 -1980 not 1998. A Jubilee year is not when one makes it arbitrarily but it is counted from the time it started. Israel is celebrating this by their being 50 years in the land. We have nothing to do with this as the Church.

Not only this celebration wrong, but the term” the acceptable year” appears only once and it is in the NT. In Greek it reads to preach year of the Lord the acceptable. It means approved the Greek word dektos comes from the root word dechomai- 1) to take with the hand to take hold of, to take up 2) to take up, to receive a) used of a place receiving one b) to receive or grant access to, a visitor, not to refuse intercourse or friendship 1) to receive hospitality 2) to receive into one's family to bring up or educate c) used of the thing offered in speaking, teaching, instructing to receive favorably, give ear to, embrace, make one's own, approve, not to reject d) to receive, that is, to take upon oneself, to sustain, to bear, to endure 3) to receive, get to learn

“Jesus boldly links the coming age with himself- an. age which the prophet must have had in mind since the people were still oppressed. Acceptable year- it is an allusion to the Jubilee year (Isa.49:8, 2 Cor.6:2) Here the expression obviously relates to the era of Gods favor upon man in which he accept all who will come to him.” He is presenting himself as the solution and answer to all that plagues man. (New commentary on the whole bible)

It was Steve Munson from what I can gather who launched this hoax last September on LeSea broadcasting as he introduced the Jubilee year teaching amidst his other imaginative solicitations...

“This is your year for God to do a miracle Asking for 19.97 for the next 12 months, there are 500 people God is speaking to, I’m going to put your name upon the foundation for giving $1,000”…go to your phone right now quickly go to your phone right now… And every person that calls I’m going to decree over your life I’m going to speak over your life. “Let me tell you something…the spirit of the Lord is doing a miracle in the meantime I’m going to tell you the power of miracles is fixin to be performed into your life when you give a vow it gives us the power to decree. For the Bible says bring a vow with your prayers then you can decree and it will be established (go search for this scripture think its found in revelation 29.) that means when you give that pledge we gonna be able to rule on the prince and powers of the devil that means we are going to be able to decree over that miracle you need, were gonna curse that cancer in your body were gonna see those children come back to God in the next 30 days, were gonna see the financial miracle begin to happen in your life. I can’t do it until you call and say I’m going top make a pledge…oh god is fixin to do miracle In your life…”

The wall at the new prayer room of LeSea broadcasting is filing up with names from $19.97 pledges. Their names are being written on the wall and for those who give $1,000 or more they are written on the floor (foundation) of the room.

Were going to send you the foundation stones (He goes over and gets a shovel and with the permission of Sumerall starts digging up the foundation stones from the ground.) He promises to send a pebble to each contributor in the mail. I guess this is about as close as one can get to the pet rock scam from years ago.

“The spirit of the Lord is upon you and I’m speaking to you and a miracle is going to happen in the next few minutes when all of the vows are on here then were gonna have a massive prayer and the power of God is gonna go through.”

“Earlier this year the Lord spoke to me and said 1997 will be the year the acceptable year of the Lord and wherever you go on television wherever you go, I’m going to put an anointing.”

“I’ve given the prescription now the miracle is going to happen to their children their going to have to reach in their heart and their going to have to walk to the phone and when they pick up the phone I know what's going to happen the devil is going to go crazy he's going to have to bow his head and God you're going to stand up when you stand up God that means Satan's going to have to give back double just like he did to Job… I release right now 100 people to go to their phones to give a thousand dollars.” There are 10 people you spoke to me that's going to give $10,000 there's one person watching me that's going to give $50,000 there's is another person, there's hundred people that are going to give 500 hundred dollars seed gift there's another group of people that are going to give a 300 dollar seed gift in the name of Jesus Go.”

“There’s 500 people that is going to give 19.97 for the next 12 months, there’s 500 people that are going to give$1,000 oh I see miracles happen, I see miracles happen ,father you're doing it now Lord , go to the phone , go to the phone, go to the phone right now quickly here’s a phone right here quickly quickly go to your phone every phone needs to ring.”

“I hear it in my spirit… God is fixin to double your finances… I see it in my spirit. God is fixin to give you a raise.. fixin to rebuke the devour over your children.”

“I see miracles happen…go to your phone quickly...”(the hotline with God)

Here are some of the excerpts…Parsley declares loudly, “It must be my turn for my thing from my God, Its JUBILEE.”

What’s this all about? Me, Me , Me. Its self focused ,bless me, not make me a blessing for others in need. No wonder people are going wild it caters to our old nature.

He also states… “the word anointed means to immerse or to rub in but the actual translation is to paint, …”Were priests painted or was oil poured over their head.

“The year of jubilee the high priest would put the shofar to his mouth and he’d blow that trumpet, at the sounding of that trumpet every captive went free, every debt was canceled everything went back to God. “

Speaking about how the Lord told him people are bound “I’m about to set you free addictions that you had for years are about to fall off of you I’m telling you , you don’t have to do anything but just receive that's it….this is your night, this is your night as the high priest standing in this Holy place I’m gonna put this shofar to my mouth and the moment I blow it every demon is coming off your shoulders outta of your mind outta your finances when I blow it I want you to shout like you never shouted a shout of victory and freedom that you will .. are you ready”(he blows the whistle and everyone is screaming.)

There is only one high priest and that is Jesus, if its Parsley were in deep trouble. In my opinion this is a perfect example of what Jesus warned about in Mt. 24 many will say that they are Christ (anointed).

…Its time that you saw its the year of Jubilee and regardless of how hard you tried God said its not about you trying, I’m stepping into your life, I’m stepping into your marriage, I’m stepping into your finances , I’m stepping into your family, I’m stepping into your children I’m stepping into your business I’m stepping into your home, I’m taking control of everything in your life and when you hear the sound of the trumpet know that its jubilee and all your debts are canceled and every captive is set free.”… and he blows a whistle [not the trumpet , which means it didn’t happen and he is probably not responsible if it doesn’t work]

It’s JUBILEE, Its JUBILEE, Its JUBILEE (place breaks out in pandemonium)

There is also the jubilee anointing to set you free and cancel all your debts. Since he and others can't find the jubilee in the New Testament teaching they have to go back to the Old Testament. Unfortunately there is no such thing as a Jubilee anointing only a feast day. This doesn't stop Parsley from using his imagination to work his crowd up with false promises of this unbiblical anointing!

“well send that prayer cloth back to you believing God to transfer his Jubilee anointing into your life and mark you for a miracle .”..

There is no such thing as a Jubilee anointing, go search it out in the scripture you’ll find it right next to Millennium anointing in Rev.23, 24 or 25, take your pick. In other words it’s made up! 1 Jn.2:20 we have an anointing from the holy one vs. 27 the anointing we received from him abides in us it is the same one that teaches and leads us into truth. The Holy Spirit is our anointing, he's God and you can't transfer God like this especially into a handkerchief or anything other inanimate object that they come up with.

Parsley drives on, “right now I want to mark or target your greatest need whether finances health, family situations with the anointing of God for your miracle . In the early church people saw tangible transfer of the anointing from the apostle Paul to those he laid hands on so then they began to give him handkerchief’s for him to pray over and miracles followed Acts 19:12 declares that diseases departed from them and evil spirits went of them. The clothes became a point of contact for the anointing to be transferred to others I want to mark your prayer cloth with the tangible anointing of God

Biblically Acts 19:11-12: “Now God worked unusual miracles by the hands of Paul, so that even handkerchiefs or aprons were brought from his body to the sick, and the diseases left them and the evil spirits went out of them.” They weren’t bringing handkerchiefs to Paul to pray over, but that's what Parsley wants you to think so his ploy will work. They certainly were not asking for money either.

Theses were extraordinary not common miracles and they were by his hands as an apostle these signs would follow them. This is not a normal practice for a regular Christian nor was it one for the apostles. Paul did not put his hands on other peoples prayer clothes for them to get it. It could mean he used these to wipe the sick and they got healed but it wasn’t the handkerchief ministry, anymore than Jesus taught to practice here’s mud or spit in your eye ministry.

Paul did not distribute clothes for people to release their faith they were healed by the clothes by their being laid on the sick persons body (Strongs concordance # 4612 simikinthion- a narrow apron, or a linen covering, which workmen and servants were accustomed to wear.) This was something that Paul wore himself that was used not someone else’s. The current focus is on the world Infatuated with success instead of the debt he already forgave.

It was A. A. Allen who started the prayer cloth scam anointed with miracle oil. (Miracle oil Flows at Camp meeting,” Miracle Magazine June 1967 p. 6-7)

Prayer clothes are highly fashionable fetishes during these Jubilee days. The question is if your anointed, why do you need to send your cloth to Parsley to get the anointing, which can’t be transferred in the first place?

Luke 4:18 the acceptable year of the Lord, v. 19. Christ came to let the world know that the God whom they had offended was willing to be reconciled to them, and to accept them on new terms; that there is now a time of good will toward men. Ps. 89:15. It was an acceptable time, for it was a day of salvation that was being offered to all as the Messiah appeared. As far as the connection with the year of Jubilee Lev. 25:28 is also called the “year of liberty” Ezek. 46:17; NIV, “year of freedom” but I can’t find a reference to the acceptable year meaning Jubilee. No such thing.

Not since Tetzel's indulgences do we see such scheming. In the 16th century they sold false splinters of the cross vials of Mary's breast milk, and lets not forget the Dominican monk who invented a way out for those who when they die can’t go to heaven because they were not pure enough. Morris Cerullo even had a sale on his Holy Ghost miracle handkerchiefs that are suppose to get one out of debt. ( reported in Moriel newsletter no.6 1996)

TBN builds an altar to the Lord to burn their debts on the fire so it will go into the Lords presence. Steve Munson builds an ark of the covenant on LeSea network and is going to bring people debts in between the cherubim where the blood was sprinkled. Nowhere do we see anyone offer up there debt as a sweet aroma to God. God always asks for the best not our worst. This is all strange fire!

the Revelation of Shambach for the Jubilee

“You know I believe debt comes from the Devil somebody says well I don’t have no $2,000 no but you got $950,000 worth of debt, no wonder you ain’t got $2,000 its all wrapped up here , the Devil got you tied up with it, and I’m trying to get you out of it, well how am I gonna do that, do what God told me to tell you to do, now listen to the man of God he said go to the phone and make a pledge of $2,000 he says you tell them people I’ll make sure they get it within 90 days that's your seed don’t eat , don’t go buying that new dress, I want you send that right in to TBN.

You don’t eat your seed, you don’t spend your seed , you sow your seed and when you sow it your gonna reap a harvest.” I tell you folks he’ll send it back to you in a harvest some 30, some 60 some 90 and some 100 fold..”

“…God told me to do one extra thing burn it, and when you call I want you to let them know how much debt your in.”

Not only do we get to hear how much people give, but now they know the amount of your debt and your financial status. How shrewd.

He seems to have overlooked Mark 4:18-19: “Now these are the ones sown among thorns; they are the ones who hear the word “and the cares of this world, the deceitfulness of riches, and the desires for other things entering in choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful.” One can be very fruitful in material blessings and be bankrupt in their spirituality, there is a delicate balance.

This is a Violation of Jesus teachings = Shambach “I’ve given more to God this year than we ever given in our life.”

Matt 6:3-4 “But when you do a charitable deed, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, “that your charitable deed may be in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will Himself reward you openly.”

Throughout their fundraisers they read what people give out loud and now they know their debts. They parade their giving in front of the whole world, exactly what Jesus said not to do. All this does is appeals to one pride.

On Paul Crouches TBN network, Shambach says, “I’m out of debt. They say what did you give $2,000 for? I want to stay out.” “And If your out of debt I want you to give something, you have it.”I’ve heard you in the Spirit” “God blesses other folks but I’m one of Gods poor children, God ain’t got no poor children! We are all blessed but it comes through giving to God,” (He's able to hear other people speak to God in the spirit, God doesn’t open up our conversations to himself, this if is true he is psychic.) Is this how God operates? We pay him off to keep us from our own mistakes or things that can happen in life. I think I'd rather hear him say to go fishing and find the money people need to pay off their debts in the fish. I certainly hope I'm not giving any new revelation to anyone!

Shambach TBN Nov.7 1997 “Don’t eat your seed, you sow it” The only thing that needs to be buried in the ground is this teaching. What nerve to change to word into money and tell them to send it to them to get their blessing from God.

On TBN-While the Lord instructed Paul in 2 Cor. 8:5 as giving by grace in what is known as the Macedonian call for one church. God has instructed Shambach with a greater formula of $2,000 for the all the church in the whole world.

“The devil knows that this is the key to your being delivered and set free.” “But you have to listen to the man of God.” The key to being set free is no longer the cross but money, this is modern day neo-Pentecostal indulgences. We can now get an understanding how the Catholic church began it so many years ago. Its always been a scam but fear and promises work so well on the biblically ignorant.

“ And God promised me that within 90 days your gonna have it, you may find it under your wife's pillow.” (I guess this is a Christianized version of the tooth fairy) she got a hiding place and some of you men have a hiding place…

So instantaneous is this revelations manifestation that Shambach says, “I’ve seen people get out of debt before we burn things.” But we don’t find this in the scripture were God promises before you burn your debt I will release you from it.

“This debt that you see were gonna burn it and the flame and the smoke are going up right into, into the throne room and its going to go right by the prince and the power of the air and were gonna blast him with it and then go in and let God know were gonna believe his word and he’s gonna take us out of debt, why because your making a sacrifice.”

God spoke to me before I even arrived here on Sunday…I believe I heard from heaven and this is the result you know I heard from heaven (pointing to the stack of debt pledges) God spoke to my heart and he told me to tell you to make a pledge for $2,000 and I know the reaction to that people say I don’t have “I know you don’t that's why I said make a pledge, some of you have it if you do send it in but I want you to get on the phone and I want you to tell the prayer partner just what your going to do I Am going to accept the challenge just to see what God has done look at all this. And were not burning anything yet.”

“Now God told me and I convey it to you as the man of God” (he points to the stack of pledges) Now don’t try to bargain basement God, don’t try to get by with just $1,000, God said two, this is what he spoke to me… I did it my wife, I talked with her this morning she said when do you want me to send it, I said” I thought you did” Send it in I need it now and I believe it will be in the mail.”

“This is a faith promise that means you don’t have it but your gonna put your faith to work, $2,000 and God promised me this and I believe I got a word from God… God said within 3 months 90 days your gonna have it all, just send it in.” So shambuck does admit it didn’t come from the Bible.

Shambach says its a faith promise, “You say I don’t have 2,000 call in and place it on altar in 90 days God will put 2,000 in your hands. (now who won’t have $2,000 in the next 90 days from working?

Shambach “ Do you know how much debt he started with this morning 300 million when we get this all together its liable to go to a trillion dollars.” Later on Paul Crouch says” … estimated that there was nearly a trillion dollars worth of debt that has been phoned in by gods people “ That’s a good portion of the national debt, if not almost the whole debt of the American people excluding the gov't..

He uses the Bible illegally saying “As the widow woman was obedient to the prophet of God.” Referring to himself. In the Old Testament no one wanted to be a prophet, they’d argue with God, today everyone is one ,even with God arguing with them that they’re not.

Yalking and railing against the devil “Devil were serving notice on ya that atmosphere that your in the prince and the power of the air your going to see the smoke your gonna smell the smoke were gonna stuff your nose with and then its going right up into the holy of Holies to let God know we believe his word. You’ve given us power to get wealth and you’ve broken the back of debt in our life.”

‘There’s no gimmicks to this thing its a divine principle you give to God your planting a seed and your gonna reap a harvest.”

All the blessings go though the self appointed high priest of Jubilee and the mediator is the TBN network. What if one wants to give $2,000 to someone else’s ministry instead, it won’t work, it must be good ground which is either theirs or LeSea‘s programming.

Is a debt a sacrifice? No! Does God ever say you should make a promise when you don’t have anything to back it up.

Eccl. 5:4-5 “When you make a vow to God, do not delay to pay it; for He has no pleasure in fools. Pay what you have vowed--Better not to vow than to vow and not pay.”

(Romans 11:35).”Who has ever given to God, that God should repay him?” This rhetorical question has no answer, because the answer is obvious. You cannot give to God with any expectation that God will end up being in debt to you. God is obligated to no one especially to be strong armed to bail people out by coercion. You can't buy your miracle whether its for healing wealth or to relieve you of debt. What ever happened to a love relationship with God instead all we have been hearing is law.

There is a law of sowing and reaping and there are rewards for good works. But, contrary to the teachings of the prosperity crowd, you cannot act so as to place God in your debt. And the rewards are eternal not to be enjoyed here on earth!

Deut. 24:10-13 “When you lend your brother anything, you shall not go into his house to get his pledge. “You shall stand outside, and the man to whom you lend shall bring the pledge out to you. “And if the man is poor, you shall not keep his pledge overnight. “You shall in any case return the pledge to him again when the sun goes down, that he may sleep in his own garment and bless you; and it shall be righteousness to you before the LORD your God.”

“Now you have to initiate it and I want you to call the number on the screen I’m just giving you what God dropped in my spirit you make a $2,000 pledge now if you have the money send that in but still need to call in because we want the information here , your bringing your sacrifice to the altar we have prepared an altar here for your sacrifice , and for your needs …we want you to give the prayer partner on the phone the exact total of your debt.” One would think they are going in the banking business the way they are asking for the exact amount, why? Your guess is as good as anyone's.

Paul Crouch speaking to Shambach “I have to give credit to brother John (Avanzini) for this, don’t necessarily wait until the whole $2,000 is in your hand . Shambach says “very good thought” a hundred dollars as a little first fruits of that seed that God is going to put in your hand maybe its $10 ya’know that just kind of says to God , gives God a little message.. it says it sorta cements the deal and says God I believe I trust you and I’m gonna take the first little step toward you and I’m gonna put a small portion of that $2,000 in the ground now….”

On TBN David Yanov from the Messianic congregation in Linwood Washington came to blow the shofar as they were to put everyone’s debts on the fire. He read what was printed on paper Lev. 26:6, 3 matches were lit by Shambuck representing the Trinity.

David says, “I proclaim TBN to usher in the coming of the LORD.” He then burns the paper with the scripture he read previously. This was the first thing thrown in the fire, the word of God! Then all the people’s debts were burned that were called in.

Crouch turns to Shambach and says “Its just like you said the smoke is going right on up, look, look, look right on up into the prince of the power of the airs territory putting him out of business and then ascending into the Holy of Holies.”

Num. 15:2-3: “Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them: 'When you have come into the land you are to inhabit, which I am giving to you,' and you make an offering by fire to the LORD, a burnt offering or a sacrifice, to fulfill a vow or as a freewill offering or in your appointed feasts, to make a sweet aroma to the LORD, from the herd or the flock,” Who is this for ? Israel not Christians otherwise you might as well keep all the law.

What they do is bring people back into the Old Testament shadows and types and remove them from the New Testament substance. Yet the people don’t seem to care because they have a spirit of coveting so they put up with the unbiblical practice.

God does not ask for us to burn our debt, debts are never considered a sacrifice. God asks for our best not our worst. This is equivalent to someone looking for a refrigerator and we give them one at home that is broken saying here is a refrigerator I’m giving it to you as a sacrifice.

People who have had poor management of their money and business are already naïve to these tactics so they are ripe for the picking by spiritual hustlers.

Gal.4:10: “You observe days and months and seasons and years. “But now that you have come to know God, or rather to be know by God, how is it that you turn back again to the weak and worthless elemental things, to which you desire to be enslaved all over again? “You observe days and months and seasons and years.” V.10 states, “you observe, days (weekly Sabbaths) , months (new moons), seasons (the 7 feasts. ) and years (Years are the sabbatical years, every 7 and the 50th year of Jubilee). Here the Judaizer's wanted the people to keep the law. This Paul said was a sign of weakness and immaturity , even bondage.” Welcome to modern Christianity same as the Judaizer's Christianity!

God doesn’t ask for our monies in the Jubilee, he forgives debts and gives back. The prosperous were to help the needy, this means those who are not in debt, which is TBN, should not be asking for our money they should be giving theirs away and they should be buying the debts off the people. (Lev.27:1-34)

In the Jubilee year there is to be no sowing or reaping no gathering it is just like a sabbatical year every 7 years. They are sowing and reaping the opposite of what God said.

On LeSea May /98 This worked so well on TBN that Shambach was asked to come to LeSea and do it all over again. (it was just played over LeSea again this Aug.)

Shambach “If he did it for me he’ll do it for you.but you have to do something”  He refers to Deut. 28...“God's not going to force you to do this (neither will he manipulate you) if you harken to my voice walk in my ways keep my commandments and my statutes. But in the book of Deut there is another verse that says if you refuse to Gods not going to force you to do anything. He said choose He said if you refuse not to obey my voice not obey my commandments then all of these curses will come upon you. Nobody wants to hear this but if I’m going to be a faithful minister of the gospel I need to give you both sides of the coin.” A faithful minister of the gospel would hardly do what he has done to the people hurting the most.

(let them know how much debt you have and how many children you have) “I’m going to pray a 9 fold blessing on you children… I’ll ask God to save them at the earliest possible age ,and then build a wall of protection around them,…I’m going ask God to keep them from sin, sickness, disease, infirmity, drug addiction. Alcohol, accident, perversion (not becoming a homosexual or lesbian) and the 9th blessing no plague shall come nigh your dwelling.”

“Now this is going to be your year of Jubilee folks.”

“…people are out of debt because they did what I asked them to do” And I’m under direct orders of the Holy Spirit, I’m not a novice I didn’t just start in the ministry, this is 50 years. And I don’t mind telling you one thing I Am I’m a man of God…”When God speaks to me I know its God. The first thing God told me to ask people to do is ask people to take a step of faith and make a faith promise I don’t like the word pledge I said a faith promise by faith your going to do this, make a faith promise over the next 12 months of $2,000. You say oh brother Shamback, I aint got no $2,000 I know you don’t see you can’t accuse me of being after your money now you heresy hunters out there saying all he’s after is there money, “they don’t have any (no not now but they will have soon!) But I’m trying to tell how they can get it.!” By making a faith promise to Lesea network you are going to be blessed.

“Next thing I want you to do, say I don’t have “then pay the tithe on it.” (now he wants people to tithe on the debt of which they have not earned income on)

“… And I asked farmer I said when you put a seed in the ground how long does it take to germinate ? 90 days , 90 days to germinate I wondered why God told me this.”

“.. .If you have it pay it all now.” (if you have it all then your not in debt, why give it when the promise is for those to get out of debt ?)

“ Cause I got grandchildren I want to keep them out of debt. C’mon grandma I want you to get on. You say your not out of debt, make a faith promise for your grandchildren for your sons and your daughters.” I guess there is an older crowd they know watches and they want to be fair.

The Bible warns in Prov.17:18: “A man devoid of understanding shakes hands in a pledge, and becomes surety for his friend.”

“Some of you have lost your Jobs. God's going to give you a better job you just do what I’m going to ask you to do and take that step of faith, make a pledge of $2,000.” No one is out of reach from this conniving not even the unemployed!

“God spoke to me before I even arrived here on Sunday…I believe I heard from heaven and this is the result you know I heard from heaven (pointing to the stack of debt pledges) God spoke to my heart and he told me to tell you to make a pledge for $2,000 and I know the reaction to that people say I don’t have “I know you don’t that’s why I said “make a pledge, ”some of you have it ,if you do, send it in …”

There’s a lot to be said for pledges in the scriptures and none of it is favorable to what the Jubilee party is teaching.

Prov. 22:26-27: “Do not be one of those who shakes hands in a pledge, one of those who is surety for debts; If you have nothing with which to pay, why should he take away your bed from under you?”

Now from the law itself,  Deut 24:10-13: “When you lend your brother anything, you shall not go into his house to get his pledge. “You shall stand outside, and the man to whom you lend shall bring the pledge out to you. “And if the man is poor, you shall not keep his pledge overnight. “You shall in any case return the pledge to him again when the sun goes down, that he may sleep in his own garment and bless you; and it shall be righteousness to you before the LORD your God.”

Exod. 22:26: “If you ever take your neighbor's garment as a pledge, you shall return it to him before the sun goes down.”

Shambach asked for $2,000 and no less for the miracle of debt to be broken in the special jubilee year! Paul goes on to explain in 2 Cor.9:10: “Now he who supplies seed to the sower, and bread for food, supply and multiply the seed you have sown and increase the fruits of your righteousness.” 

This is a quote from Isa.55:10 about God giving rain to the earth to bring forth fruit that he may give seed to the sower and bread to the eater. Paul uses this physical example for a promise of a future reward, not on earth but in heaven, for their acts of kindness. He uses a material example to illustrate a spiritual truth. Not a spiritual truth to illustrate a physical example.

I had thought this would have all gone away after the year was over, boy was I wrong. The Jubilee is suppose to end this September one year after it started. But not according to Benny Hinn. We haven't begun to hear the end of this scam. It was so successful that now he's changed the whole meaning. “Our Jubilee comes after theirs (the Jews). The Bible says first the natural then the spiritual.” (This is your day program Aug.31 1998)What twist of 1 Cor.15 that is speaking of the resurrection. Parsley does not stop here either but continues, now preaching a financial anointing and a great financial revival is coming. They will milk it all they can if possible.

The whole time this was being promoted it was because Israel was celebrating their 50th year in the land. Now we have Hinn saying there's a Christian Jubilee on the 51st year. And he uses of all things the resurrection in 1 Cor.15  applying it to monetary and other physical blessings. Is there anything out of the reach of these new Gnostic interpreters?

The believer is not under the Law but under grace. In both Romans 6:14 and Galatians 5:18, Paul emphasizes that the believer is no longer under the Law of Moses. An example of the believer’s standing as a grace-giver is found in Acts 4:32-35, where the believers gave as they felt led to give with no regulations or specific percentages guiding them. We don’t give to receive back more. This is promoting coveting disguised as worship of God, its actually worship of Mammon. The message of prosperity does well in America. The newest findings are that even the heathen are enjoying the current prosperity, as we are in the best financial position in 50 years.

The procedure of Spirit-controlled giving or grace giving involves four steps, as clearly described by Paul (I Cor. 16:1-2). First, it should be systematic and not haphazard, taking place on the first day of every week, referring to the period from sundown Saturday to sundown Sunday. Second, the phrase, each one of you, indicates that grace giving should be individual and not corporate, a fact that certainly speaks against the concept of store-house tithing. (The emphasis on individual responsibility certainly does not rule out corporate giving

Spirit-controlled giving should be proportionate: as he may prosper. Again, it is not based upon the tithe or a blanket decision to give 10 percent. Sometimes, a believer may be able to give only five percent, while other times it may be 20, 50, 60, even 90 percent. If all of one’s needs are met, its possible for one to give 100 percent. Paul’s point is that grace giving should be proportionate to the grace given.

Being “debt free” is not a promise or an obligation of God found in Scripture. Paul's admonition was to “owe no man anything but to love one another” (Rom. 13:8)

Luke 6:34-36 “And if you lend to those from whom you hope to receive back, what credit is that to you? For even sinners lend to sinners to receive as much back” All debts in this year were canceled debt and property were returned for free to its owner.

Prov. 8:17-19 “I love those who love me, and those who seek me diligently will find me. Riches and honor are with me, enduring riches and righteousness. My fruit is better than gold, yes, than fine gold, and my revenue than choice silver.”

We are homeless aliens looking forward to our permanent home but there are some who want to make us have our focus our home here on earth. If you have it now you may just be forfeiting it later. Look at the faith found in the saints recorded in Heb.11 none had it now nor did they have the best of both worlds.

What we find is sowing seed is confused with an offering that was burned. Offerings had salt they were to be the best of what one had. In the NT we present our bodies as a living sacrifice to the Lord. We offer our lives and Rom. 14:16 Therefore do not let your good be spoken of as evil; Despite the possibly good intentions of the TV evangelists, Jesus tells us we are the salt of the earth, but if the salt loses it flavor it will be trampled down. This is exactly what we see in TV evangelism, it has become a by word where people hiss at.

I wonder If TBN and LeSea are forgiving their debtors? Shambach is not asking God for mercy on those who trouble TBN but to be killed “And Paul (Crouch) really believe that TBN like you said, you’ve been carrying such a heavy load because of this mess that’s been going on, dragging you through the courts, and I believe that this is the year and I’ve been praying if they don’t release you from it, kill them Lord. I mean that’s what I’m saying. God knows how to do it.” Well that's a Christian witness for you!

If TBN and LeSea were to follow their own application of the Jubilee they would see they are wrong. There was to be No sowing, reaping, (Lev. 25:11). The soil was to enjoy a rest, In other words their ministry (their soil) is not to be gathering from others nor encouraging them to sow in it. Jubilee year or not we should leave it alone and not sow in their soil.  

Today everyone wants the microwave solution to a problem they blame on the devil. They take no responsibility in bad management for themselves.

The law says do this and I will do this. In Grace God says I’ve done this and will continue to do so without any response on your part. The fact is all this is under the law of Moses, which is clearly done away with. So they are bringing people out from grace and under law. So God does not interact according to grace but law, which means if one does not keep all of it they are cursed. This is a far cry from the TV evangelist leading people into the promised land.

Were all your debts canceled? Why not! Because we are not a theocracy, we are not Israel. These were promises to a nation under a law covenant. We are no longer under the law but grace.

Nowhere do we find a teaching or celebration of the Jubilee in the book of Acts or the epistles. Paul does explain the tabernacle; the writer of Hebrews gives the New Testament commentary on the book of Leviticus. Paul explains the fulfillment of the feast days in Christ in 1 Corinthians If there is any Jubilee to be found its spiritual application would be how Christ set us free from being slaves to sin to new creatures in Christ, there is no money involved. Rom.6:7-9 For he who has died has been freed from sin. Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him, knowing that Christ, having been raised from the dead, dies no more. Death no longer has dominion over Him.” Our bodies will be redeemed by the sound of the trumpet blown in 1 Thess.4:16 where we will be changed from mortal to immortal corruptible to incorruptible. If there is any application this, it is where it would ultimately be found -- set free from our sin. You can dress up a corpse, but it’s another thing to make it walk.

As Jacob Prasch so properly explains, The church is making the exact same mistake as the Jews in Jesus Triumphal entry! Kingdom now, faith prosperity and signs and wonders. In the first coming of Jesus they wanted him to rule and overthrow Rome (we want all the goodies now that he offers to us in the Millennium). Ps.118 vs.25: “Save now I pray O’ lord, O’ lord I pray send now prosperity. Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.” They had a prosperity theology, name and claim it, blab it and grab it .You don’t have to suffer your a kings kid, they have a cross less Christianity which is no Christianity at all. They have a signs and wonders gospel, they wanted Jesus to put on a show, Jesus said, “a wicked and adulterous generation seeks a sign. When Jesus healed people it usually was SHHH. Don’t tell anybody. Today it’s go tell everyone, It’s good advertising! And it is easy to tune in and watch the show.

It’s can be a rough road for Christians when their financial future is left to be interpreted by men who may or may not have good intentions, (probably the later). They certainly do not give the correct biblical counsel to set people free from their debt. This is no different than having deliverance for Christians that are suppose to be demon possessed. They go right out and make the same mistakes, its a band-aid solution to how one got in the mess their in the first place. Right biblical counsel is teaching one to be a good student over their monies, otherwise one is going on a roller coaster ride with no track course or steering. Be careful of those who spend hours telling people God will speak to their hearts about giving, or say they can't out give God. If you watch long enough you’ll hear the pitch, it’s a certain amount you need to give. All that will probably happen is you'll see you money walk away. So the next time you listen to a TV evangelist say open up your heart, listen long enough it usually means your wallet.
