| The false faith of the Word of faith teachers Those who are taught in word faith theology, learn Bible words but are given a very different definition. Once one has their perception of Scripture changed by these false teachers it is difficult to get back on track; usually it takes being shocked by the truth. Paul wrote for the Church’s future a warning in Acts 20:30 “ Also from among yourselves men will rise up, speaking perverse things, to draw away the disciples after themselves.” Men will arise within the church distorting the truth in order to make disciples after themselves, those who follow their teachings will be severed from the actual truth. "God used words when He created the heaven and the earth....Each time God spoke, He released His faith -- the creative power to bring His words to pass." (The Power of the Tongue (Fort Worth: KCP Publications, 1980, 4.) But God did not use words for everything He created, he also used thought and it existed. Read Genesis as well as Isaiah carefully to see what God says. The word faith teachers misunderstanding of faith alters it to be a force that is controlled by man. In Kenneth Copeland’s Reference Edition of the Bible, Copeland, says of Mark 11:22, " And Jesus answering saith unto them, ‘Have faith in God.’" He looks up from the text and triumphantly says, "There you have it---undeniable proof that God has faith." Copeland goes on to say, " all you need to do is look at this little note I’ve added to the Bible. See, right here it says, ‘Or, Have the faith of God.’ Get it?" Mr. Copelandg oes further in distorting and mocking the Word by saying, "Faith is God's source of power" (Kenneth Copeland, Forces of the Recreated Human Spirit (Fort Worth: Kenneth Copeland Ministries, 1982), 8.) God’s source of power comes from who he is; he is the creator of all things, it is not necessary for him to believe in something to cause its existence. He alone is all knowing, all-powerful as an omni-powerful being. The first time faith is mentioned in Scripture is in Deut. 32:20 speaking of those who are not obedient, “For they are a perverse generation, Children in whom is no faith.” Also in Hab 2:4 But the just shall live by his faith .”Humans have faith, God does not! Faith means to trust in what God said, that is written. Faith according to the Bible is defined as trust in someone greater, we as humans trust in God and His Word for there is none greater. So who did God trust in? There is none greater than him, God does not have faith in himself? That is not how God thinks or acts. Isa 55:8-9 " For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways," says the LORD. "For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts.” Copeland teaches concepts completely divorced from the Scripture, he states,“God cannot do anything for you apart or separate from faith. Faith is God's source of power” ("Freedom from Fear," KCM, 1980, pg. 11-12). God's source of power is himself, his nature is all knowing and all powerful. So the question that comes up and should be approached by those who think Biblically, logically and critically. Does Mr. Copeland know or speak of the God of the Scripture or a God of his own flawed interpretation, of his own imagination? Mr. Copeland is the head of the word faith army of heretic teachers making those who are within the church apostates, misleading not thousands but millions. "God did not create the world out of nothing, He used the Force of His Faith." (Spirit, Soul and Body, #01-0601, Tape #1) "Faith was the raw material substance that the Spirit of God used to form the universe." (Authority of the Believer II (Fort Worth: Kenneth Copeland Ministries, 1987, audiotape #01-0302), side 1.) According to Copeland faith is the building blocks of life that created the material universe. Where does the bible say any of this? "Faith was the raw material substance that the Spirit of God used to form the universe." (K. Copeland, Authority of the Believer II (Fort Worth: Kenneth Copeland Ministries, 1987, audiotape #01-0302), side 1.) Absolutely nowhere does the bible say such a thing. NOWHERE! God is not a man, a creature who is limited in anything. This made-up concept of God having faith is absurd and dangerous. It brings one into a delusion. God did not have to speak for anything to exist, in fact, he didn’t for Adam to be made, he physically formed him from the ground and they breathed to give him life. This speaking becomes a necessity because of his teaching that words have power. Yet Copeland teaches what is clearly not in the bible, he adds to the word. “These words struck Adam’s body in the face. His body and God were exactly the same size.” "The image being that he was a copy, looked just like, if you stood Adam upside God they look just exactly alike... that's exactly true...The image is that they looked just alike. But the likeness, is that they act alike, and they are alike...Now here's Adam in the image of God, and in the likeness of God. All of God's attributes, all of God's authority, all of God's faith, all of God's ability, was invested in that man ." (The Authority of the Believer IV, Tape #01-0304) This teaching is more conducive to Mormonism than the bible, God is not a man, the image was not physical. Anyone who has learned the basics of the bible knows this. But some accept this to their shame. According to Copeland "God’s reason for creating Adam was His desire to reproduce Himself...He was not a little like God. He was not almost like God. He was not subordinate to God even" .... Adam is as much like God as you could get, just the same as Jesus....Adam, in the Garden of Eden, was God manifested in the flesh ." (Following the Faith of Abraham 1", Side A, Fort Worth, Texas, K. Copeland Ministries, 1989, audiotape #01-3001.) Adam was the same as Jesus? This makes Jesus a creature, he is a different Jesus than the Bible speaks of. "Adam was made in the image of God. He was as much female as he was male. He was exactly like God. Then God separated him and removed the female part." (Sensitivity of Heart[Fort Worth, TX: KCP Publications, 1984, p.23.) Is this what the bible teaches? No, it is not. This is all a fantasy, what the bible calls myths. There was no female part in Adam, he was not a trans-human. Remember he stated that Adam and God looked alike physically, and spiritually. Did the female become separated in God? With all this said, he continues to teach “Adam committed high treason; … all the dominion and authority God had given to him was handed over to Satan."(Our Covenant With God," KCP Publications, 1987, p. 8-11) It is Copeland that has committed high treason with his blasphemies. This is my question to those who go to church that are supposed to believe in God's word over any man. Do you believe what the word faith teachers say on the Word or what God says? Do you believe Copeland who says, “You have the same creative faith and ability on the inside of you that God used when he created the heavens and the earth." (Inner Image of the Covenant, side 2.) Abraham believed God, what God said to him of being made a father of many nations, Rom 4:16. It then says “ God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did ; who, contrary to hope, in hope believed, so that he became the father of many nations, according to what was spoken, "So shall your descendants be." The word faith teachers lie to their listeners and themselves pulling this verse of its context. Romans 4:17 “ who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.” What is attributed to God who spoke is then attributed to man, “ who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did.”
Has any of these men or women resurrectedanother? Have they
resurrected themselves? No, they stay dead until God speaks! The word faith teachers instead give the same ability and glory to man that should only be given to God. Do you worship God or their distorted view of faith being taught by Copeland, which has you worship yourself? Faith is Gods power in you "What you are saying is exactly what you are getting now. If you are living in poverty and lack and want, change what you are saying.... The powerful force of the spiritual world that creates the circumstances around us is controlled by the words of the mouth." (The Laws of Prosperity, Kenneth Copeland, Ft. Worth: Kenneth Copeland Publications, 1974). So then we are in control of our live, not God. Where is he master and lord? This is where this false concept of speaking takes you far away, for the Bible explains we should be aligned with Gods will. The "force of faith is released by words." (Kenneth Copeland, Authority of the Believer II (Fort Worth: Kenneth Copeland Ministries, 1987, audiotape #01-0302), side 1.) “Words are spiritual containers," (Kenneth Copeland, Forces of the Recreated Human Spirit, 15; cf. 14.) This is found in all the word faith teachers, including Joyce Meyer. It comes from the Occult teachings that have nothing to do with Christianity "When we use the spiritual laws that God has set up, God must obey what we request." (Praise the Lord, TBN, 2/5/86) Gods will is then replaced by man’s will. This was first seen by Satan’s deception in the garden with his assault on Eve, it worked then and it continues to work today. It is not God speaking these doctrines but Satan. "Everything that you're able to see or touch, anything that you can feel, anything that's perceptive to the five physical senses, was originally the faith of God, and was born in the substance of God's faith." (Kenneth Copeland, Spirit, Soul and Body I (Fort Worth: Kenneth Copeland Ministries, 1985, audiotape #01-0601), side 1.) Are you going to believe liars? Copeland’s Jesus "Why didn't Jesus openly proclaim Himself as God during His 33 years on earth? For one single reason. He hadn't come to earth as God, He'd come as man." (K. Copeland, Believer's Voice of Victory magazine, Aug. 8, 1988. p.8.) He also taught that Jesus prayed, "...not as the divine One who had authority as God but as a man..." And that Jesus never believed Himself to be "...the Most High God." (Ibid.) He most certainly knew who he is. This is not the Jesus of the Bible, don’t let Copeland or others deceive you. "Jesus has a beginning and an end." (What Happened From the Cross to the Throne, Tape #00-0303) The bible says Jesus was resurrected and is alive forever more.Kenneth Copeland proclaims, "You don’t have a god in you, you are one," (K. Copeland, The Force of Love (Fort Worth, TX: Kenneth Copeland Ministries, 1987), audiotape #02-0028, side 1.) " You are not a spiritual schizophrenic -- half-God and half-Satan -- you are all-God" (Now We Are in Christ Jesus (Fort Worth: KCP Publications, 1980), 16-17) "I say this and repeat it so it doesn't upset you too bad... when I read in the Bible where He [Jesus] says, `I AM,' I say, `Yes, I AM too!'" (Kenneth Copeland: Spoken during a crusade meeting, 19/7/1987) This man takes the holy eternal name of God and applies it to himself! Can you do that, call yourself the I AM. He even distorts prayer by saying, "Pray to yourself, because I'm in your self and you're in My self. We are one Spirit, saith the Lord." ("Believer's Voice of Victory", Feb. 1987, p.9) This is the same teaching that was offered to Eve in the garden. “… are we gods? we are a class of gods ." ("Praise the Lord" (TBN), recorded 2/5/86) There are no other Gods but one! This is antichrist teaching. When you have a false view of the nature of God and the savior it affects everything else, EVERYTHING! “Jesus existed only as an image in the heart of God, until such time as the prophets of the Old Testament could positively confess Jesus into existence through their constant prophecies.” (The Power of the Tongue, pp. 8-10) This means Jesus was not God. He was brought into existence by men's words. This is not the Jesus of the Bible. Let be put an exclamation point to summarize Copeland’s own teaching. He said, Jesus said, "by your words are you condemned. BY your words are you justified and you will stand judgment for empty word you speak out your mouth "("Praise the Lord" (TBN), recorded 2/5/86) Soon Copeland will stand before the true Jesus and answer for all his false teachings on the nature of God and man. He will then understand what the terror of the Lord is, by opposing his word and misleading his people.
