Is the apostle Paul an imposter, a deceiver as Mike Adams teaches? Mike Adams (the Health ranger) rejects the apostle Paul from whom the majority of the New Testament letters to the churches (13 letters) are written. A summary of what Mike Adams says, Paul said a lot of very important things,…However, he says, Paul was an impostor putting himself in power as the leader of the Christian movement … a false prophet. Adam’s Religion comment on Paul (no longer posted) Red pilled on the Bible! On x.com/healthranger “Paul the Apostle told Christians to be obedient to the corrupt government of Rome. But Jesus told his followers to be obedient to God. Paul said FAITH alone is good enough to enter heaven. But Jesus said we must pursue GOOD DEEDS and physically help those in need, not just pray for them. There are other significant differences as well. Paul was not faithful to the teachings of Christ. This is known by all Bible scholars. Paul was a deceiver, and he even called himself the greatest sinner. Christ is the truth. Jesus' own brother, James, was more faithful to the teachings of Christ than was Paul, but somehow Paul's words fill half the New Testament . Ever wonder why? Paul used to be named Saul, and he hunted down Christians to have them killed. He then adopted the Roman name "Paulus" to deceive the masses and infiltrate the circle of Jesus influencers, pretending to be something like the second coming of Christ himself, then, filled with pompousness and self-importance, he taught his own perverted view of "Christianity" which was not faithful to what Christ taught in the Gospels. It's all in the Bible, folks. Read it and be amazed at how many modern churches have been completely deceived. They do not teach Christ and they do not know Him. They teach Paulianity, not Christianity. That's one reason why they support the satanic philosophy of zionism, which is rooted in violence, ethnic supremacy and hatred toward others. Christ taught the OPPOSITE of these things (love your neighbors and treat them kindly). Get red pilled on the Bible.” (another commentator on this teaching https://alvarezgalloso.com/2024/11/24/comment-by-health-ranger-and-my-response/ ) Adams in his sermon explains who Paul was; previously he was Saul,“he used to hunt down Christians ... he was basically a Christian bounty hunter, he was one of the most vile figures in the history of Christianity, and then it said he was reformed through Christ, he accepted Christ as savior. But, did he really…”(sermon #103) I want to stop here and address what Adams is doing, he is directly denying the word, for even Peter who acknowledge Paul’s teaching, stating in 2 Peter 3:15-18 Speaking of “ our beloved brother Paul, according to the wisdom given to him, has written to you, as also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things, in which are some things hard to understand, which untaught and unstable people twist to their own destruction, as they do also the rest of the Scriptures.” Notice how highly Peter speaks of what Paul wrote. He goes on to warn further “You therefore, beloved, since you know this beforehand, beware lest you also fall from your own steadfastness, being led away with the error of the wicked; but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.” Adams continuing, next says that,”…or did he use then notoriety of Christ in order to prop himself up into a higher position where he can claim to be the master teacher, was Paul trying to make himself into a Christ like figure. Because he was very arrogant, he always talked about himself a lot and how pious he was. Even as he was condemning other people for talking ABOUT themselves. Paul really didn’t practice what he preached. And he made some huge mistakes in his preaching. This is one of them Rom 13.” Adams says we need to “demolish this chapter in the Bible” he then quotes the chapter beginning with, “let every soul be submissive to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God.” “Right there we know this was a lie, it was a lie even in the days of Rome. He had called Paul “one of the most highly intellectual people of his day,… multilingual, …rational, logical arguments,” But remember, he had done a lot of time in prison” laughs, he “thought he might be killed in prison at one point.” He didn’t want to be arrested by the Roman soldiers and was aware of the corruption of Rome. He must have known many of the leaders in Rome did not represent the will of God…. He knew that. So why is he saying this? He is saying this to appease Rome, that’s why he is saying this. “Therefore whoever resists the authority resists the ordinance of God” those who resist will bring judgment on themselves. … don’t disobey government because you are disobeying God … Jesus never said this… at times subjected himself to the law.” Mentioning him even submitting to his own death. “But he did not tell his followers that Rome represents the lord.” (Mike Adams Sermon #103 - Romans 13 Paul the deceiver) “Don’t think that every word in the New Testament or even the Old Testament for that matter… not every word in the New Testament is absolutely the word of God, it is not (Mr. Adams will decide for you) a lot of it is the word of Paul and Paul says the government is your God, (he did where?) think about that.” The Bible says, “All Scripture (except for the parts Mike Adams rejects) is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.” (2 Tim. 3:16-17). Deciding that Paul is to be rejected changes the whole New Testament record on the gospel. Mr. Adam’s: Do you understand you are accusing an apostle that Jesus chose? That the Lord said to Ananias, "Go, for he is a chosen vessel of Mine to bear My name before Gentiles, kings, and the children of Israel.” (Acts 9:15-16) Paul writes “God has appointed these in the church: first apostles,”plural not single(1 Cor. 12:28), it was not about Paul. 1 Tim. 2:7, 2 Tim. 1:11 Paul writes, “I was appointed a preacher and an apostle--I am speaking the truth in Christ and not lying--a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth.” In Phil 1:17 Paul says, “I am appointed for the defense of the gospel.” This is the very gospel that Adams is saying is false from Paul’s writings. Adams goes on to say… “Now Paul was also a false teacher on the issue of faith versus works, whereas Jesus always taught WORKS! Jesus said you should clothe those who are missing clothing. You should feed the hungry… Paul says all that is necessary for salvation is just faith, you just have to accept Christ as your savior and your done. You don’t actually have to do any good works .” Adam’s then recites Jamesfaith without works is dead”(which is true). “yes faith is necessary but it has to be accompanied by works, your deeds matter and that what Jesus taught. Paul says nope, just faith alone,… gets you into heaven.” He Laughs,“sorry that’s a LIE. That’s Paulianity not Christianity!” (we will see if Adams even understands what he is saying). Does Paul say anywhere you don’t need to have works done in Christ? No, he does not. In fact he says, “For I am the least of the apostles, who am not worthy to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God. But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me was not in vain; but I labored more abundantly than they all, yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.”(1 Cor. 15:9-10.) Paul understood the difference of works and grace. Adams continues, saying, “Do you see what he is saying, that he is basically Christ and that you should worship him In essence like you worship Christ. Paul is saying my Paulness is gone and I am now just Christ, Christ lives through me, I am, I am now the son of God basically.” (time stamp 31:30-Mike Adams Sermon #103 - Romans 13 - Paul was a DECEIVER who perverted the teachings of Christ and demanded obedience to a corrupt government.) Does Paul claim to be Christ, like Jesus? To worship him? In Gal 2.19. “For I through the law died to the law that I might live to God. I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God , who loved me and gave Himself for me.” Paul used himself as an example of suffering for Christ, and was honest about his own weaknesses. That he depended on Christ to strengthen him ; not that he is Christ. He is speaking of God’s grace, of the Holy Spirit living the life of Christ through him, which is no different than the Holy Spirit would through ALL BELIEVERS. He gives honor and praise to Jesus, not himself. Adams is misrepresenting the apostle Paul. To say that Paul is saying he is Christ , the Son of God is not at all what Paul is saying. But if we use his criteria, what Adams is actually saying is; follow me, not Paul, for I know what it really means and I’m representing Christ correctly, and Paul is not! This is what happens when the Holy Spirit is not involved in teaching truth; one cannot understand the Scripture correctly. Paul is giving an example of trusting in Christ, honoring his savior not in elevating himself. Paul goes on to say“I do not set aside the grace of God; for if righteousness comes through the law, then Christ died in vain." He then asks,“Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? (Gal 3:2) Biblically, Faith means to trust in God. Mike Adams is neglecting other Scriptures to make Paul look evil, teaching the opposite of Jesus. Let’s examine from the Bible if what he says is true. Again Adams says to clothe, feed the hungry…Instead, “Paul says all that is necessary for salvation is just faith,” “ You don’t actually have to do any good works.” What work can a believer do if they are in a wheelchair or incapable of moving? (what works would be done by them?) How many works is needed, one, a few, how many for salvation? What work did the thief on the cross do that Adams can point to? Was his faith insufficient? Adams is teaching salvation is by our works. He also includes, “if your good outweighs your bad on your “karmic record,” then your soul will be redeemed.”That’s a bible teaching; no, it is not. Rom.5 says salvation is a free gift, having been justified by faith , it does not include works (Eph.2:8). As Peter also says (Acts 11:17) referring back to Acts 2, Pentecost, when the Jews who repented were baptized, having received the forgiveness of sin, they will receive the gift of Holy Spirit, which is proof of salvation. Paul was not an egotist, he was humble, he told people Christ is their teacher, there’s not any one person they should follow (1 Cor.3). Mr. Adams is accuses Paul of misusing his authority. Eph. 2:8 “by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God.”Notice it is in a past tense.A gift means it is given freely. The next verses he explains it is “not of works, lest anyone should boast.”When it is about something we do, especially on salvation, it takes the glory away from God. Paul teaches we are “created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.”Because Adams rejects Paul, he cannot understand James. James 2:14-15 “if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him? James is speaking of living out what we believe, to we show our faith toward the brethren in need. V.17-18 “faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.” Explaining that genuine faith is alive and will produce works, NOT works with faith produces salvation; works always come AFTER salvation. Mr. Adams has an all-out attack on the Word of God, focusing on Paul’s letters to the churches the majority he planted. Paul traveled with Barnabas even to Jerusalem and was approved of what he taught by the other apostles (Gala.1:1-4). In Acts 15:22 the church, chose men to accompany Paul and Barnabas, to Antioch, Barsabas, and Silas,(v.24), the church approved Paul. It was the Judaizers that came into the church saying things against Paul (Acts 15:2) who added the law (works) to faith. Government Authority Both Peter and Jude speak of those who resist authority, and they have nothing good to say about them. Christians are to obey civil authority. So what does Jesus say about authority. Jesus told his followers to render to Caesar what is his due and to God what is His due Mt.22:21. So they were to pay their taxes. Which Paul quotes in Rom.13:7. This obedience was applied by Jesus who explained the laws true intent said, “And whoever compels you to go one mile, go with him two” (Matt 5:41-42.) Explaining when a Roman soldier required you to carry his load. If you were a believer and a soldier, you are to obey the government you are employed in. In Titus 3:1 Christian’s are told to submit to their rulers. Peter also writes we are to submit to every authority instituted among men, For the Lord’s sake. We are to submit to all human authority—whether the king as head of state, or the officials he has appointed. Adam Clarke’s commentary says, “Rom 13:1 Paul is speaking, not from his own opinion but declaring the mind of God on a subject of the utmost importance to the peace of the world.” So because of not understanding Paul explaining Gods authority on earth Adam’s classifies Paul as a false teacher. Paul writes in Rom. 13:2 “ Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God : and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.” Barnes commentary states,“Those who rise up against "government itself;" who seek anarchy and confusion; and who oppose the regular execution of the laws. It is implied, however, that those laws shall not be such as to violate the rights of conscience, or oppose the laws of God. [Resisteth the ordinance of God] What God has ordained, or appointed. This means clearly that we are to regard "government" as instituted by God, and as agreeable to his will.” (from Barnes' Notes) Rom.13:3 “ For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to evil.” That is the intent of what Paul teaches. In other words, Paul is referring to rulers that do right and good before God, not those who are evil. This is made even clearer in v.4 “if you do evil, be afraid; for he does not bear the sword in vain; for he is God's minister, an avenger to execute wrath on him who practices evil .” Peter writes the same, 1 Pt.2:13 to both kings and lesser authorities, v.17. However we are not to obey them if they want us to disobey God, especially when it involves killing with no justification. We are to obey the rule of the land unless it violates our commitment to God. Lets look at examples elsewhere in the Scripture. Daniel, who served under the evil King Nebuchadnezzar, understood that his God, and not the king, was ultimately in control: “He [God] controls the course of world events; he removes kings and sets up other kings” (Daniel 2:21). He says in chapt.4 “That the Most High rules in the kingdom of men, Gives it to whomever He will, And sets over it the lowest of men.'A lesson Nebuchadnezzar heed to learn personally (v.32., see Jer. 34:10.) None of this teaching in Romans 13 is made up from Paul, it is a continuation of what had been taught and recognized as from God. Pilate spoke to Jesus,"Do You not know that I have power to crucify You, and power to release You?" Jesus answered, "You could have no power at all against Me unless it had been given you from above”(John 19:10-11.) Now Adam’s faces a conundrum, because if Paul is wrong, so is Jesus. What Paul is teaching is that God has ordained government to punish evil (as was first stated in Gen. 9:5-6, on murder). We are to resist evil We have numerous examples of resisting those in authority, not disobeying God. The wise men that traveled from the east were asked by Herod to report back to him so he can know where Jesus is, and go worship him Mt.2:7-8, (which was a lie). They disobeyed Herod to save his life. Another example of being disobedient to save lives, which takes precedence is in Ex.1:15-22. Contrary to the Pharaohs order, the Hebrew midwives did not tell Pharaoh of the newborns, and had babies lives saved, which gave them Moses the deliverer. InJoshua 2:1-14 we see the example of Rahab saving the lives of two Hebrew spies by lying. In Revelation 13 we are told not to obey and take the mark of the beast from the antichrists world government, even though you will not be able to buy or sell anything without it. We are not to have blind obedience to a government when it may supersede the Bible. The Bible permits a Christian to disobey the law when they are commandedto do evil to others (Acts 5:28-29). In the Sermon on the Mount in Matthew 5:38-42 Jesus addresses our reaction to an evil person. If you are slapped on one cheek don’t react and fight but give them the other. What this means is to not retaliate when insulted or slandered, “not to return evil for evil.” (ex: Jn.18:22, what it does not mean that we keep silent). Wisdom is involved, as my pastor would say we are not to become someone’s doormat. The early church faced renouncing their faith or die. The Bible teaches that all mankind will be tested by the last Gentile government at the end of the age (Rev.13). Rev.12:11we see this taking place in the future, during the tribulation, “they did not love their lives unto death.” The choice at this time is to obey Jesus or a counterfeit Christ, they are willing to become martyrs. One who resists authority actually resists God who placed them in that position. Again, Rom. 13:3 “rulers are not a terror to good works, but to evil.submit to the government is “for our conscience’ sake.” And that is Paul’s point, it is a command, regardless of our agreeing with a leader’s policies or politics, we must recognize that God has placed our governing authorities in their positions. But our obedience to them does not put aside our obedience to God. Prov. 29:2 “ When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan.” This why Paul instructs in1 Tim. 2:1-2 “he exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority.” Why for all; because God ordained them. God directly or by allowance has them in authority. God is sovereign, He is ultimately in control of everything, “God is the Judge: He puts down one, And exalts another”
