Pt.4 Other Strange Spiritistic teachings from Voice of the light ministries Paul said in 1 Cor. 4:6: “that you may learn in us not to think beyond what is written, that none of you may be puffed up on behalf of one against the other.” (that is, Scripture in the Bible for those of you involved in Christianized spiritism), don't entertain new revelation or you will be practicing it and become prideful. Paul gives the church the solution: 1 Cor. 1:10: “Now I plead with you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.” In other words hold to the teaching (tradition) he gave the church so that they will continue in unity. But he also says “Now I urge you, brethren, note those who cause divisions and offenses, contrary to the doctrine which you learned, and avoid them” (Rom. 16:17). Paul wanted unity maintained in the church by adhering to the spirit of truth, to what was written and approved by the apostles. “let us walk by the same rule, let us be of the same mind” (Phil 3:16). It is necessary to say this because of where the New Apostles and prophets are leading the church, among them are the Ferrell’s who have introduce new revelations that they claim are from heaven. According to neo- charismatics you ain’t nobody until you visit heaven at least once. “Experiences In Heaven” Prophetic Direction by Dr. Ana Méndez and Emerson Ferrell “Experiences in Heaven immerse you in the Invisible Kingdom, … After you finish listening to the first part, get into an intimate time with the Lord through the second one, which is instrumental. As you play it, you will be taken into a profound experience with God, so you will know Him in a deeper way.” Like Ana’s prophetic painting they are telling people that listening to their music revelation will bring you into a deeper experience with God that you will not get anywhere else (better known as Soaking) Ana Mendez “The Power of His Blood” “Sometimes He will visit us in person or take us on trips to heaven (this is called being translated).” Besides only two apostles, Paul and John having heaven revealed to them, one said nothing, calling it illegal to speak (2 Cor.12), the other was directly commission by Jesus to write it down for the church (Rev.1:11), it became our Scripture. In 2002 Ana Mendez married Emerson Ferrell and together formed Voice of The Light Ministries. Her husband Emerson states “His life changed dramatically after a visitation from the Lord where he was shown the original plan for his life. …After leaving everything behind and spending intimate time with the Lord, he read the Bible from cover to cover several times and allowed the Holy Spirit to teach him. Emerson’s new revelations were not received and as a result, he was ostracized by the “Church.” He claims “his spiritual eyes were opened to see both, heaven and earth simultaneously.” Emerson Ferrell’s Book Immersed In him speaks of us having dominion and states “ That the words born again has been wrongly taught and consequently negate the dominance of Christ and his kingdom” Really, wrong by whom, and for how long? On his website video of Immersed In him he speaks candidly about what he teaches. “Its the true revelation of what born again is. When Jesus spoke to Nicodemus he said you must be born of the water and the spirit and so as I started to study the word and hear the Holy Spirit I started to receive the revelation of what the water was, I started to understand the water was not just the physical things that we drink …. but it actually is the substance of Jesus Christ, I studied Genesis and the lord revealed to me that creation is the model of being born again. The same way the whole universe was created by God. He used the Holy Spirit and he used Jesus Christ. In the same way we must enter the kingdom of God. This is a reformation for your life. … you want to know Jesus -- He wants to know you in a more intimate way. As you read this book, as you study this book the lord is going to reveal things to you that you have been crying out for. …In addition I talk about baptism, because once you understand that Jesus is the physical water as well as the spiritual living water”… You’re going to inner realms of heaven and will experience things outside time and space that you never knew was possible…. I wrote this book for the church that had a misunderstanding of what born again was all about. I wrote so that we could have a reformation? Spiritistic teachings that have nothing to do with God’s word and its real intent, teachings from new revelation. There is no such thing as an inner realms of heaven found in the Bible. The water is the substance of Christ - literally. Jesus already knows us, he knew us before we were born, we need to know him, but to do this Emerson is saying you need their books (DVD) to be spiritual, NOT the Bible -- but his book[s]. It is believing the gospel that makes one born again, not having an understanding of what the water is. According Emerson Ferrell the Holy Spirit hasn’t spoken correctly to others on Jn.3, apparently for nearly 1900 years we didn’t have it right, he does. But he doesn’t, he has put a spirtualized spin on what the Bible itself defines, and changes its meaning. As a result you get new age /Christianized experiences of inner realms of heaven . We have only scratched the surface with a small portion of their experiences and teachings but it is quite evident they are rearranging the meanings of the Scripture on core doctrines. This is straight out of the new age and into the church. Like two peas in a pod they both are promoting new revelations, estranged teachings and interpretations. Since their videos and books go out publicly, we are allowed, commanded to challenge their teachings as to whether they are biblical- publicly.In “The baptism of fire” DVD by Emerson Ferrell, he advertises it as: “Many Christians believe that the most important thing Jesus did was to die on the cross and be resurrected. Although this was necessary for our salvation, Jesus' purpose did not stop there.Before the fall of Adam, Adam lived in God. Once sin took place Adam was separated and lived outside of God and humanity needed to be restored. In this powerful DVD by Emerson Ferrell, learn how being Baptized in the Holy Spirit and fire restores you in Christ.” Emerson gives lip service to Jesus’ death on the cross, how do I know this … On their website is posted a portion of the DVD … With a background of dramatic music Emerson states: “Its more important than the crucifixion… more important than the resurrection… The baptism of the Holy Spirit is more important than anything else in the Bible. The power of the Holy Spirit is so beyond what we have imagined. When you start to honor the presence of the Holy Spirit your going to see amazing things happen inside of you. Because when the Holy Spirit starts to reside inside of you, you start to have two spirits instead of one.” “And he’s going to baptize you in a new dimension. Jesus understood his purpose, and you need to understand you purpose. You must reveal the righteousness of Christ in the earth wherever you go. When you start to see yourself baptized in the fire of God your not afraid of anything, … Being baptized in the Holy Spirit is not just to give you a language, It’s to give you the authority and the power to perform all righteousness in the kingdom of God wherever you go.” It ends showing the book “the Baptism of fire.” http://www.voiceofthelight.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=82&Itemid=151 The baptism of the Spirit is what every Christian has when they are born again. Emerson says, this is more important than Jesus dying for sin and resurrecting! More important than the GOSPEL that ALONE saves! This is more than a deviation from sound doctrine – by Biblical standards it is heresy! The sacrifice of Jesus (His blood) is THE central theme throughout the Scripture. Sacrifices were from Adam on until the last one Jesus Christ died for the redemption of mankind. The baptism of the Spirit is not prophesied since Adam, the baptism of the Spirit is a New Testament introduction. We wouldn’t have a Spirit baptism without the gospel (his death and resurrection). To say sending the Holy Spirit is greater diminishes the work of God and is a detraction of Jesus Christ’s crucifixion and resurrection. But to be accurate this isn’t the baptism of the Holy Spirit but a baptism of fire. Let me ask you, are we going to be in heaven praising the baptism or Jesus and what He did to save us? One only needs to read Revelation 7:10;19:1 to see the answer. If you are baptized in fire the Bible says you are chaff and going to hell. No disciple was baptized in fire, but in the Holy Spirit (see the book of Acts). It is the Judgment that results in fire: Matthew 3:11-12 Jesus baptizes believers in the Holy Spirit and the unbelievers in fire. Lk. 3:9: “Therefore every tree which does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.” Only those in Christ bear good fruit, produced by the Holy Spirit. Jesus taught several parables in reference to the end of time when believers and unbelievers will be separated (Mt. 25: the sheep from the goats). in a judgment at the Second Coming of Christ. As far as righteousness - Christ is our rightousness,1 Cor. 1:30 who produces (the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth), Eph 5:9. Righteousness is obtained by our faith in Christ (Rom 9:30; 2 Pt.1:1) Rom. 1:16-17 “the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, "The just shall live by faith." Rom 3:26: “His righteousness is given to those who has faith in Jesus.” Rom 5:17 righteousness is given at a salvation, Paul tells us to surrender to Christ, not to seek a new baptism. Rom 4:3 says It is our faith in Christ that is righteousness, it has nothing to do with a separate experience from a baptism “of fire.” Look up how Paul teaches righteousness from the book of Romans. That’s whose teaching we are to be conformed to. 2 Tim. 3:16 says the Scripture instructs us to be righteous. So when people teach the scripture incorrectly or introduce new revelation then it is not righteous. Our body and soul need to wait for the resurrection to be practical literally changed to righteousness. Gal 5:5: “For we through the Spirit eagerly wait for the hope of righteousness by faith. Rom . 8:10-11. Are we in the Tribulation period? Because that is when it is enforced. We should keep in mind that dominionists don’t really believe in a tribulation or a rapture the way it is written. This dominionism of the new Apostolic reformation is a twisted and deformed
eschatology that has nothing to do with the Christianity Jesus and the apostles
taught. It is founded on new revelation. These are the kind of people Peter
Wagner employs to propagate his spiritual warfare/ apostolic network, it speaks
for themselves: Supernatural Believing Christ Conscious (the forward is by an Apostle under Wagner, John Eckhardt) by Emerson Ferrell “This book portrays the journey Jesus made to dominate all the centers of His being. The Devil had no power over Jesus because he had no access to his spirit, which was the place of his belief” How about because Jesus was God, the creator of the one who fell and became the devil. Those who claim to have these spiritual experiences are always offering their books and DVD’s to pass on their Gnosticism, to trans form you. On their DVD Supernatural Believing - Christ Conscious - describes in powerful, easy to understand illustrations, the necessary steps for transferring our belief center from the soul, to our spirit. The ''mind of Christ'' is more than a cliché it is reality.” The phrase Christ conscious is a scrubbed way to say Christ consciousness a concept right out of New age. It is not the same meaning as having the mind of Christ which is being transformed by the words of Scripture. This is not what they are teaching, they offer their experiences and new revelations first. Emerson Ferrell’s Book Immersed In him he writes “Christ consciousness is knowing without learning.” Yet in his book Supernatural Believing Christ Conscious Chapter 2 Sin Consciousness Versus Christ Consciousness he writes, "Before the creation of the universe Jesus knew His assignment; therefore, as He studied the scriptures He became conscious of that decision.... " So then Jesus did not have Christ consciousness because he had to learn by studying? Ana Mendez has endless supernatural stories "In Mexico, I repeatedly experienced something like Philip in the desert. The Holy Spirit transported me to conferences, sometimes over long distances.” Spiritual relocations that was so unusual that only one person beside Jesus experienced [Philip]. “We have to understand Jesus came to bring together heaven and earth, and heaven is not just the last place where people are safe and going to spend eternity, heaven is our life among the living ( I would like to see a Scripture for this new revelation) She says her book took 10 years and is a very effective way to set people free by the power of Christ. The atmosphere being created is capable of sustaining a true transformation and reformation. One of the reasons for this outpouring is to change the consciousness or souls of the people on earth.Please beloved, do not grieve the Holy Spirit with opinions based out of fear and hear say. For too long theologies and “end time” prophecies have supported doctrines that inflate the power and strength of the devil and advance the desire to escape…. One of the scriptures people use to discredit this move of God is found in Mark 13:20,22 And if the Lord had not cut short these days, no one would be saved; but for the sake of the elect, whom he chose, he has cut short those days. False messiahs and false prophets will appear and produce signs and wonders, to lead astray, if possible, the elect. Jesus is saying clearly THE ELECT CAN NOT BE LED ASTRAY. THEREFORE, IF SOMEONE IS DECEIVED THEY MUST NOT BE THE ELECT. Todd Bentley never says he is the messiah and always gives the glory to Jesus.” letter Ana Méndez Ferrell To say a believer cannot be deceived is false; she claims to be a believer and she is. Jesus warned to the believers three times about deception in just the Mt.24 account, and by the way He mentioned false prophets. Jesus’ point is that the whole elect will not be removed from the faith, why else would he warn of apostasy. Its as if she does not have to have any concern for a false sign and wonder for Christians yet she was once deceived. The gift of Interpretation of tongues "When I had been a Christian for three years, my sister told me that God had shown her that I should work as a translator for a conference with Morris Cerullo. I laughed, because I understood probably only ten words of English at the time. My sister looked at me in an unusual way, and I sensed 'that is God speaking through her'. I said 'Lord, your will be done.' Not long afterwards, I was on stage. The moment one of the conference teachers began to speak, I was able to understand English, and started to translate. Two months later, I preached at my first conference in the USA. In 2001, I spoke in the French-speaking part of Switzerland When I opened my mouth, I suddenly spoke French. In another story “The only language I had ever spoken or studied was Spanish. However, I thought about it and I knew that God was speaking to me through her. I knew it was Him, and I knew I had to agree to do it. When the evening came that Morris Cerullo was to speak, I stepped on to the platform not knowing a word of English but trusting. Then heaven opened up and the English language came to me supernaturally and I translated perfectly. If she could speak in these languages how is it she cannot now speak accurately a language she uses daily, English. Watch her videos on you-tube - she is seen using a translator for other languages, why? I would love to see proof of this ability of tongues. Seems she has something in common with Cerullo, who has said at 15 years old he was transported to heaven for a face-to-face meeting with God. Cerullo teaches the manifest sons of god doctrine: "Everyone repeat after me...God is duplicating Himself in the earth ...At last the time has arrived, God is releasing His life through the Body [2 times] ...Today I am a Son of the All powerful Almighty God ...The Fullness of the Godhead dwells in me ...God has planned for me to be Christ's image on the earth" (Morris Cerullo from Video MANIFEST SONS OF GOD). "You represent all that God is and all that God has...Jesus was the visible expression of God. Jesus was the Son of the Living God. Now, who are you? Sons of God…everyone say it. What is working inside of us is the manifestation. When you look at me, you are looking at Jesus…To see Jesus was to see God. To see me, is to see Jesus. Jesus knew who He was. Don’t you think it is about time we know who we are?" Worship, as a weapon These people want to be known as heroes of the faith when they ignore teaching the faith delivered once to all the Saints."The Lord told me to call on more warring angels and to start worshiping Him as loud and strong as I could. (Lk.2:11). Anointed one is the word Christ, Mashiach in Hebrew. Acts 10:38 “how
God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power” to do his
ministry. This general should be made a private, she does not know what the word
teaches accurately. They are going to train you to be a king? Some may say doesn’t the Bible teach “And have made us kings and priests to our God; and we shall reign on the earth" (Rev. 5:10). It is the anti-Christ’s kingdom that will be destroyed by the word of Christ’s mouth and glory (Isaiah 11:4; 2 Thessalonians 2:8). Lets make sense of all this. Jesus said to Pilate “If my kingdom were of this world my followers would fight,” “but now My kingdom is not from here” (John 18:36). When did His kingdom become of this world? When the new apostles and prophets said so? They want to bring his kingdom down to earth, Violent praise and worship is the power used in the new apostolic warfare. Ana Mendez’ prophecy - June 06-06-06 date was made important by Anna Mendez because this number consists of the number of the beast in Revelation. I believe God wants a fantastic day of praise and worship over the whole world. Then a way will be opened from heaven to earth and He will be able to establish His throne everywhere on earth. God showed me very clearly how His glory descended on all places of the earth where people had listened to His voice and joined this celebration.” God also revealed the strategy how all this is coming to pass: ---“Summon the apostles, prophets and all saints over the whole world to form a mighty army, to bind themselves together and to sanctify 6 June 2006 as a day of worship over the whole world….It is important to keep the biblical numbers in mind, read Isaiah 66:6: Hear that uproar from the city, hear that noise from the temple! It is the sound of the Lord repaying his enemies all they deserve.” ---“ God has spoken and He said He wanted during that night of praise the hornsignals of the shofar to sound over the whole earth, they must blow out the sound of the victory. I can see thousands of shofars that will be used. They will be used hour after hour and blow out the joy of our Saviour and Supreme Commander. “When I and all who are with me will blow our trumpets, then from all around the camp blow yours and shout: For the Lord and for Gideon. (read Ana Mendez, she is the prayer-general) Judges 7:18” ---“ When we unitedly worship, praise and blow the shofar, the people who are in oneness together must speak God’s apostolic words about their own region and about the whole world. This is a time of apostolic and prophetic declarations. God has given us the power to declare His sovereign will for this hour. We declare: --“The power of the Holy Spirit for a big harvest of souls.” --“More people will stand up to establish churches on all continents of the world.” --“The community will change and God’s will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” source website: www.ambasmin.org. Mathijs Piet has close connections with Ana Mendez, organises her conferences in the Netherlands and wrote her complete prophecy on his site.Besides Isaiah 66:6 and Judges 7:18 taken out of context, to interpret dates as numbers and find similar scriptures in the Bible for validation is neither taught and should be avoided , as it is kabbalistic.Again this is a dominionist message, the church ruling with the apostles at the helm (the 7 mountains teaching of Peter Wagner seems to be the inspiration for this). Why anyone would want to use this number reserved for the beast to promote dominionism is beyond me. I see no evidence of this being the Christianity that Jesus delivered for the church to practice. How can it be when it’s all new revelation?God has given them power to declare His sovereign will for this hour – then why did none of this take place? Has Lord repaid his enemies all they deserve on this day? Where did whole cities become saved; where is his visible glory?You can blow your shofar until the red heifer comes home but we will wait for the shofar blown by God’s appointed angel instructed by Jesus to bring us from earth to heaven. These neo - mystic Christians want their fringe beliefs to be the norm for the Church. THEIR kingdom of God is about strange manifestations not mentioned in Scripture, new revelations; abductions to heaven and hell; angels appearing and seen wherever they go; manifestations from Icons; Continual demon chasing; worship used as a weapon against the enemy. Are we to believe this is the Christianity the first century Christians lived in?
