p.2 What the Bible say on this is what matters. Ps 68:17-19 “The Lord is among them as in Sinai, in the Holy Place. You have ascended on high, You have led captivity captive; You have received gifts among men, Even from the rebellious, That the LORD God might dwell there. Blessed be the Lord, Who daily loads us with benefits, The God of our salvation!” Of course this is one of those difficult scriptures to understand and Ryle brings more confusion to it. "And gave gifts unto men; is referred to Jesus ascension in Eph.4:8 where Paul explains is to the Church, to the body “ But to each one of us grace was given according to the measure of Christ's gift.” (Eph. 4:7-8), Paul leaves out the later portion of the rebellious. So what does this mean in a New Testament context? Even to the rebellious? It means his enemies, (which we all are until we are converted), those who submit to him receive his grace. The gifts are not to the rebellious to use as claimed for the Beatles, the rebellious do not praise the Lord. The gifts are from the Holy Spirit, they are only to the saved. The anointing, who is the Holy Spirit is to point to and to lift up Jesus, His Word; when did the Beatles ever do this? To further reinforce this, Paul begins to explain the gifts given by the Spirit of God in 1 Cor. 12:1 “Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren.” V.3-4 no one can say that Jesus is Lord except by the Holy Spirit. There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.” He confirms it is to those who believe, and in V. 11-12 “the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills. For as the body is one and has many members, but all the members of that one body, being many, are one body, so also is Christ.” The Beatles were never anointed by God, James Ryle had a false dream, a false interpretation, or both. God did NOT put a music anointing on the Beatles to create a new sound as they were unbelievers, ungodly? For 8 years they produced and progressed in their music until the Beatles broke up. Why were they not converted having the anointing of Christ on them? Here is what we must decide; Did God make a mistake putting his anointing on the ‘fab 4?’ Did He do what Ryle said in his dream? Or, is this whole concept made up to be used by God’s enemy to not just divide but cause spiritual confusion and deception. Ryle’s series of dreams is like Rick Joyner's series of visions (the Harvest) that were completely unbiblical. At times Ryle seemed to be a sound teacher in some areas, however, the dream and its interpretation shows he is not. When the Beatles first came to America, the church stood against their music, now we have those who want to claim their music as being a inspiration from God. It wasn’t God that attracted people to the music of the Beatles. Let me give a plain Biblical refute, the original musician is an angel called Daystar, who fell in heaven from his position and became Satan. He knows music, he is able to compose melodies and sounds better than any other. His music is corrupted as everything else he does, it brings glory to man, not to God. Those in the Latter Rain are more susceptible to accepting dreams like these because they ignore the biblical guidelines of how the Holy Spirit works. He convicts unbelievers NOT gifts them, especially giving them musical talent and influence that are far beyond others in history. How far will these Latter Rain teachers go with the music anointing? The Holy Spirit inspires worship: Eph. 5:19 “Speak to one another with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs. Sing and make music in your hearts to the Lord” Col. 3:16 “Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God.” We may use everything at our disposal to praise and glorify the Lord, which certainly includes music. But there is nothing related in Scripture to Ryle’s Dream. Absolutely NOTHING! Who are the sons of thunder biblically? Mark 3:17 “James the son of Zebedee and John the brother of James, to whom He (Jesus) gave the name Boanerges, that is, "Sons of Thunder.” In Luke 9:51-56 We read of Jesus going to Jerusalem “and sent messengers before His face. And as they went, they entered a village of the Samaritans, to prepare for Him.they did not receive Him, V.4 And “when His disciples James and John saw this, they said, "Lord, do You want us to command fire to come down from heaven and consume them, just as Elijah did?" But He turned and rebuked them, and said, "You do not know what manner of spirit you are of. For the Son of Man did not come to destroy men's lives but to save them." And they went to another village.” Jesus was going to Jerusalem to save it, not destroy, this is why they were rebuked. Jude 23 “ but others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire, hating even the garment defiled by the flesh.” What kind of dream promotes a distorted concept that is already taught of the sons of thunder, a dream not from God. The Lord is not confused in doctrines he teaches. Consider the sons of thunder were rebuked by Jesus does seem to fit into their agenda for dreams The Latter Rain now, led by Lou Engle This is now nearly 35 years after his dream, 20 years prior were the Beatle’s. That is 55 years since God supposedly lifted his anointing from them for music. These men have not forgotten this, in fact it is on the list of end times prophetic events. In the official Harvest promo it begins with “we all carry a sound, each one of us was given something to release that no one else has. Something that will leave a mark….(I’m not saying everyone involved Harvest is off, but this certainly is.) Harvest Sound (in Nashville TN) is a family of radical creative missionaries that have laid down their lives, gifting, and calling on the altar in order to see the gospel of Jesus made known in every nation. Do you resonate? No, I do not, especially after listening to it (everyone should listen to this to understand why we are writing on this. Lou Engle has believed this dream wholeheartedly that it is a prophecy and he asks for its fulfillment along with others on his audio release. As he states along with the other Latter Rain proponents that “Dreams are the last days language of God” You be assured that this false prophetic dream is soon to see the light of day, unlike any other. Lou Engle is beseeching God to fulfill this false prophetic dream as he speaks prophecies, sings with prayer. Engle’s says in this audio set to music that God says: “If I can write your music I can change your lives”... Engle says“that people will respond and come to Christ through / or because of the sound …the sound, then, becomes a different gospel, Instead of the Word of God (both the written word and Jesus Himself) it becomes musical notes,tones, sounds (a different language and a different gospel). The Voice is not the voice of Jesus but rather a different voice. He says, A sound that Rips through the Earth …” This is in concert with the New age, the sound frequencies (Bethel church promotes this) … sounds like saying Om etc., those who teach Jesus is our guru. He says“the whole earth is groaning for the Fulfillment of the dream of the prophecy ..referring to Ryles dream, and, the latter Rain manifest sons of god teaching from Romans 8 He speaks of the blue guitars. “Come sons of thunder, Come sons of Prophecy, Raise up the sons of thunder! I hear the sons of thunder, I just want to be a voice in the heavens … His voice is amplified, intense more than usual, his narration becomes the main sound with the various sound effects in the background (The Spanish guitar, Muslim music, and Chimes and bells and echoes Etc. It sounds like they are trying to make their own sound be the sound of the prophecy along with his own voice, He says : give the church the anointing, to be the head not the tail (which is a Kingdom now proclamation)! Longing for your presence Lord, (is not the Holy Spirit / Jesus continually with us) “I will never leave you nor forsake you” and, that The Holy Spirit will lead us into all truth.” ( not from this, he is not leading) He says: I hear the sounds of David in the Hills, he is lonely. (David is no longer LONELY)! He says; I hear a sound coming down from heaven, God is searching for a young man , etc. (No he does not, again the prophesy to find someone to put the music anointing on)? Is his young man supposed to play a musical instrument and lead people into the new SOUND OF MUSIC gospel? He says: A sound of the wind of the spirit where Heaven and Earth collide …” More sound effects are heard with thunder crashing in the background, Hebrew shofar's blowing, Native American flute sounds, all Amplified loudly along with his strained voice for emotional/hypnotic effects to convince the listeners on his unbiblical message. He says: “ The sound of Prophecy the sounds of Prophecy from the womb of the dark!” The womb of the dark? Satan will perform signs and wonders to convince the multitudes that the New Apostolic Reformation (NAR) is God-sent. Sounds like a demonic doctrine, as Scripture teaches us that the false Christ (Antichrist) is birthed from the Womb of Darkness! This becomes more like a horror soundtrack than from God’s word. “A Priestly Ministry let it come (This is over-realized eschatology, as the priestly ministry has already been given to the church to give the gospel, and we will be kings and priests under Christ in the Millennium). It is for this reason we do not go on dreams for prophecy, especially ones that are so far departed from Biblical doctrine. God is NOT saying a worldwide revival comes through music, for it is always by the preaching of the Word in truth, in accuracy ( which excludes these men). God does not lift up any one person like this to have such an influence, as this was already accomplished by Jesus. Beware of the Latter Rain teachers who will mislead you into darkness.
