Pt.2 Dreams and visions Today's premiere teacher ‘on dreams’ was John Paul Jackson (who passed away in 2015) he was a key part of the Kansas City prophet movement along with Mike Bickle, Bob Jones. All of them taught and promoted Latter Rain doctrines. The majority today are claiming the Latter Rain is bringing upon all dreams and visions. There are two different ways the word dream can be applied, one is our own self aspirations. what we want to do with our life. As both Paula White, Birthing Your Dreams and Joel Osteen achieve their dreams (much like Tony Robbins teach) “You can accomplish your dreams before you go to heaven! How can you do that? By tapping into God's power inside of you.” How Our words are vital in bringing our dreams to pass. It’s not enough to simply see it by faith or in your imagination. You have to begin speaking words of faith over your life. Your words have enormous creative power. The moment you speak something out, you give birth to it.” (Joel Osteen, Your Best Life Now: 7 Steps to Living at Your Full Potential, CD-Rom (New York: Hachette Audio, 2004). Joyce Meyer who teaches the same, agrees that this is accomplished by our words. Copeland says, see your dreams coming to pass. You must conceive it and believe it’s possible if you ever hope to experience. Paul (now David) Yonggi Cho, who famously wrote and taught “Through visualizing and dreaming you can incubate your future and hatch results...." "So men [Christians or occultists], by exploring their spiritual sphere of the fourth dimension through the development of concentrated visions and dreams in their imagination, can brood over and incubate the third dimension, influencing and changing it." "This is what the Holy Spirit taught me." (The Fourth Dimension, p. 39-44) Did he teach him this or was it another spirit that taught him this? Cho said, “ Hebrews 11:1 tells us that hope is what faith must have in order to bring our dreams to pass.” [Cho’s hope and dreams ended as he Headed up the world’s largest Pentecostal church, he faced legal consequences in 2014 , convicted of embezzling $12 million from the church along with tax evasion. He avoided 3 year imprisonment receiving suspended sentence, paying some it back.] The Latter Rain teaching is that the supernatural is always working, some even claim God is always speaking to us and we need to pay attention; to tune it. So he especially speaks to us through a dream at night, when we non resistant. In fact everyone’s dreams are from God, not just believers according to the Latter Rain promoters. I do not discount that God can give one a dream or a vision, and occasionally may do so. But it is being claimed by the Latter Rain that dreams and visions are his language for the last days (Lou Engle and many others teach this), and so these dreams are constantly taking place. They say dreams were always God's way to speak, saying, ‘dreams are the language of the last days. ’ If dreams are God’s language of the last days and they do not come to pass what does this mean? The fact is God already speaks to us for everything that we need, by His Word (Heb.1:1, 2 Tim.3:16) Considering that William Branham introduced his ministry strictly operating from visions to the church and claimed it is the Latter Rain, we see those today who have learned from him promoting dreams AND visions. In 1987, Copeland gave a prophecy "from Jesus Christ" in which "Jesus" promised that new and dramatic angel manifestations were going to increase in the church and that, "Jesus" allegedly told Copeland:A very outstanding time is on the way. A time is coming when there will be manifestation of angels more than usual, more than there has been in the past. …Many of you are going to have visitations from the spirit realm. Many of you will have divinely appointed visions and dreams....Oh, there's no time nor distance in the spirit realm.’ (Kenneth Copeland, "Take Time to Pray," Believers Voice of Victory, February 1987, p. 9) Benny Hinn who says he had dreams even before he was “saved” has had much false doctrine promoted through it even his newer one of the rapture What are dreams? Benny Hinn explains, “dreams are really visions of the night, and the Bible calls them that. …When 1 was a little boy, I saw the lord in this dream. It was really so real, it was really a vision because when - when he appeared to me my body became electric just like electricity went through me and when 1 awoke that electricity was still on my body." (This Is Your Day, June 11, 1997). Is that God doing this? In an interview on TBN, Oct.23, 1999 Hinn explains to Paul Crouch what he sees. BH: I know this sounds strange. They’ll be days, I’ll be sitting by myself, and lose all contact with what’s around me. Not only dreams, I am, I’m seeing things that are almost unbelievable. I’ll be sitting at home, and my vision would change. I, I, I would lose sight of what’s in front of me and start seeing things. Things I’m not sure I understand yet about what’s coming to the move of the Spirit. But it is so glorious, it’s beyond words.” Benny Hinn states, “Lately the lord has been speaking to me in dreams, some powerful dreams I have had lately.” His new revelation of the future is from a dream both he and his wife had on the Jezebel spirit. Saying this on his program since the beginning of 2002, he invited various guests who teach on the Jezebel spirit to back this up. “I was in a crusade … I was in the dream and saw myself on a platform just like this and I was singing oh lord my God… as I’m leading the great crowd in how great thou art, I notice a lady standing three feet from me on the platform, … she was mocking the worship, she was mocking God’s people she was mocking me, she was doing her own things, going about doing crazy things on the platform.”Everyone “were all worshipping the Lord nobody seemed to pay attention to her, I…And now I realized nobody could see her except me and the Holy Spirit spoke and said rebuke her. And I did I rebuked I said in the name of Jesus and when I did she vanished into thin air. Suddenly the most amazing things started to happen, I was transported from off the platform and I stood in front of the front row” … (each section of the building was split with same amount of people in three sections.) “The front section sang oh lord my God, and on the word wonder the entire section fell under the power of God with violence, and they fell as one body”… He is then transported to the 2nd section and sang it again “on the word wonder, I believe God is about to do wonders in the churches.” They fell just like the first section with violence except “heavy rain began to fall on them like and outpour of rain, heavy, heavy downpour.” The 3rd section same thing repeated except “now fire, liquid fire began falling on them, then I woke up” I knew it was from the Lord.” “So That evening I took my wife to the mall on the way back I shared my dream with her, all day long I have been wondering who that woman was on the platform, why nobody could see, why she could go about doing her own thing and mocking me mocking the worship mocking all of us. My wife tells me as I shared my dream with her, she said Benny “I had the same dream. God gave my wife a few days before he ever gave me the dream he gave the same dream, … and she said “the lord showed me who the woman was…that is the spirit of Jezebel, and the lord said to her in her dream” the spirit of Jezebel must be dealt with before the glory visits his people.” Ladies and Gentlemen I’m telling you Jezebel is being dealt with right now.” What we have described by hinn is violent collapsing, heavy rain and then fire, liquid fire. All unbiblical applications of the Spirit working, more akin to the Occult. Hinn has always presented himself as a spiritually elite leader, the control and manipulation follow the spirit he is being influenced by. What he is actually doing is separating those who listen from the arena of logic and the Bible. Many of them make excuses or ignore his obvious false prophecies and false doctrinal statements from the Bible. Hinn’s declaration that Jezebel must be dealt with before the glory comes gives an ominous slant to this whole teaching
Hinn states the spirit of Jezebel is control, intimidation. As we go
further we will understand that everything Hinn speaks on has much to do
with himself having control. Hinn and his prophet friends who were and are teaching on the Jezebel spirit on his program have misunderstood that this Jezebel spirit is in the corrupt church Thyatira. She also called herself a prophetess and yet he had Cindy Jacobs on his program to interpret what she is seeing for Hinn also. Cindy Jacobs is not a prophetess under God. John Paul Jackson had become known as THE expert on dreams and dream interpretation was on Hinn’s program at the beginning of 2002. The Lord told Hinn in his dream, “ I’m going to give you eight years and then you have to walk through it.” He asked Jackson on his program for God to speak to him to help understand this series of dreams. Jackson says, “ Benny your clock starting ticking last week when you walked through the house with your mother that clock started ticking, so right around the year Christmas new years 2010 this gate is going to open for you . And in the process of that opening it is exactly what is written in the book of thiatira of Revelation, to the church of thiatira, saying if you overcome this I will give you the ability to rule over nations, If you overcome this deep things satan deeper then you think right now, when you overcome this you will have overcome that which seeks to usurp your reward.” Jackson says, “ The gates of the 2nd dream represent a new authority that God is going to pour out to those who walk at a level unprecedented since the early church….” Hinn responds: So what the lord was saying to me then was in the next eight years I am to fulfill the first dream. Jackson : there's things that you will have to do that God is going to require you to do, this spirit is trying to take down every form of leadership that God wants to use its from anywhere from presidential issues to men of God issues to ambassadorial issues, its trying to take down any person God wants to use. As his kingdom BEGINS to grow and begins to be strengthened those people will have a new resolve in the Lord and be informed of the wiles of the evil one and the spirit will be broken, so it doesn’t have the ability to deceive corrupt and act covertly that it once had. Once its exposed it loses its power. God is calling you to expose it (This is Your Day Jan.16, 2002). None of this happened to Hinn. So who is wrong, the dream interpreter or the dreamer? Or both! Benny Hinn seems to be smack dab in the middle of the dream influence on the church. Gnosticism teaches from experience and to have a deeper knowledge by a direct encounter with the spirit, via a dream or a vision that becomes more important, and directly challenges the Word of God, even if it says the opposite. Hinn’s ministry is all about, dreams and visions to direct the church and give promises that are outside the Scriptures, just like one of his mentors, William Branham. Lou Engle says dreams to all are the language of heaven. Engle tells the story of “ the Call was born out of a dream I had with Benny Hinn” … dreams give you divine intelligence, it give you the secrets for deliverance, … you get inner healing in your dreams… and the more you treat it as holy the more you get, he who has the more more shall be given, our whole ministry, actually, almost everyday we meet together do we say do have a dream. And because we do stuff with our dreams rather than saying its just a dream. We treat them as smart bombs. Intercessory assignments to change the world. So the call began in many ways with a dream of Benny Hinn ….” Engle begins speaking of when he was with Taiwanese kids in 2003. They wanted an all-night prayer meeting, so he jokingly says they prayed and the preacher slept . And so Engle dreamt that night … He continues, saying “In this dream I’m on stage with Benny Hinn, and Benny Hinn says 'Lou you’re done with the ministry '…I wake and think that is really a pizza dream for sure. What is that, Benny Hinn, I never even met Benny Hinn! So the next morning I remember having the message that would bring revival.(laughing) it didn’t work out. It worked out according to the dream. Right before I get up to preach, suddenly one of these high school kids stands up to prophesy and the holy Spirit invades the place, …this is 2003 pre Toronto(Toronto was in 1994), everyone is being slain in the Spirit, laughing, shaking.I’m thinking this is so rude…I'm not Pentecostal, I had no idea what this stuff was…”(really in 2003). He goes back to his cabin laid down wondering. And he says,“the Lord reminded him of Benny Hinn’s book “the anointing,” when the anointing comes your done with the ministry but its a joyful occasion(people cheering). Here’s the deal, God spoke to me, it will never be about your preaching, it is about what I will do when kids pray. He explains the kids are club leaders that invited him to speak and prayer begins to break out, and that began the movement of the Call. Engle “It started with the dream about Benny Hinn, and power of kids praying and revival comes when people pray. And it all started with a Dream (people cheer). Continuing, "Last days language of the Holy Spirit is dreams, this is the language and culture of heaven. And so our whole world actually , our whole world is dream .We have this quote, If you hang around the dream king, if you hand around Jesus you’re going to get dreams… you join yourself to a dreamteam, the dreams that he gives are too big to fulfill you’ve got to have a team. I would rather than just having dreams myself I would like to create a dream community around me. Give permission to the people in your fellowship and church to dream dreams and give them access to you, Housewives can change the world if they have a big mouth telling the dream.” Engle stresses the spiritual importance of dreams, he says a dream is like a seed, “why should we waste a third of our lives without the language of heaven bombarding us.” I ask why should the church be continually bombarded by thee false teachers of fantasy . Dreams are no longer the manner God communicates by; but they say it is the main way in the last days. One false teacher specializing in dreams Cindy McGill (and many like her say) what God is doing, She states, dreams are being poured out on all flesh (not is spirit). What is being poured out is not from God but from the antichrist spirit that challenges God in his Word, His ways and His timing. This is no different then the New age movements spirituality. New age futurist Barbara Marx Hubbard, (1966) heard an “inner voice” that came in response to a question she had asked aloud and directed to God — “What is our story? What in our age is comparable to the birth of Christ?” After asking the question she said she fell into a dreamlike state and was given an intense vision of the future. In the vision Hubbard saw the earth from a distance. She was made to understand that the earth was a living body and that she was a cell in its body. Feeling her “oneness” with the earth, she experienced its pain and confusion. When her vision abruptly fast-forwarded into the future, she could see the earth and its people were now surrounded by a radiant light. She watched as the whole planet was “aligned” in “a magnetic field of love” and lifted up by the brilliant light. Widespread healings took place. There are signs that accompany new revelations, In fact, it was Maitreya the new age Christ who said those who search for signs will find them . It is for this very reason Jesus said not to do so, but those are being trained in the church to look for the signs. It needs to be mentioned that Benjamin Creme spoke of a "flood" of signs and wonders happening around the world in preparation for the appearance of Maitreya as the "Christ". He even claimed Maitreya appears regularly before Christian gatherings. The only gatherings open to this are the “new revival" meetings. Again, no one at Pentecost had a dream or vision? Furthermore, the other events mentioned (of the sun turning dark, the moon is red) did not take place nor are they taking place at the same time they claim dreams and visions are today. So what exactly was Peter’s meaning in speaking this scripture to the people to the people at this time? He was expressing the Spirit bringing salvation to the Jews gathered there at the feast day. It is years later after Saul is saved that we find the spirit is given to gentiles to be brought into the body of Christ, to become the church. Again we find them speaking in tongues or prophesying, but no dreams or visions like those who teach of this today. So this event of Joel did not fully happen at Pentecost, nor is it happening today. It is future. What the teachers of dreams and visions do is go and camp in the Old Testament ignoring the balance , ignoring the specific statement in Heb.1:1 that tells that God spoke in many different ways in the past the majority of it was through the prophets of Israel. But now speaks by his son. 1 Sam 28:5-6 When Saul saw the army of the Philistines, he was afraid, and his heart trembled greatly. And when Saul inquired of the LORD, the LORD did not answer him, either by dreams or by Urim or by the prophets .” (these were the ways he had received) Considering all the counterfeits the false teachers of the day use, I’m surprised they have not yet used the Urim or the Thumim. It was for this reason Saul sought out the Medium from En Dor to conduct a seance. Then Samuel said to Saul: " Why then do you ask me, seeing the LORD has departed from you and has become your enemy? (1 Sam. 28:16-17) Samuel then scolds Saul “Because you did not obey the voice of the LORD”on a certain matter. Saul is then slain in the spirit (actually collapses) because of the words of the prophet Samuel. Daniel is abundantly used for this gift of interpreting dreams operating today. Lets read in context Dan. 1:17 four young men, God gave them knowledge and skill in all literature and wisdom; but “Daniel had understanding in all visions and dreams.” Yet… Dan 9:21-23 “while I was speaking in prayer, the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, being caused to fly swiftly, reached me about the time of the evening offering. And he informed me, and talked with me, and said, "O Daniel, I have now come forth to give you skill to understand. At the beginning of your supplications the command went out, and I have come to tell you, for you are greatly beloved; therefore consider the matter, and understand the vision”: Daniel needed a certain angel that was sent by God to help him understand, and this became our scripture. This is what we see as pattern, as these dreams or vision to the prophets or others specifically anointed are written as scripture. Proverbs 10:19 In the multitude of words there wanteth not sin: but he that refraineth his lips is wise.” Likewise in Ecclesiastes 5:7 “ For in the multitude of dreams and many words there are also divers vanities: but fear thou God.” Deut. 13:1-5 "If there arises among you a prophet or a dreamer of dreams, and he gives you a sign or a wonder, and the sign or the wonder comes to pass, of which he spoke to you, saying, 'Let us go after other gods'--which you have not known--'and let us serve them,' "you shall not listen to the words of that prophet or that dreamer of dreams, for the LORD your God is testing you to know whether you love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul. You shall walk after the LORD your God and fear Him, and keep His commandments and obey His voice, and you shall serve Him and hold fast to Him. But that prophet or that dreamer of dreams shall be put to death, because he has spoken in order to turn you away from the LORD your God" What of the statement of other Gods? If one is claiming the true God gave them a dream and then speaks of nonbiblical or more revelation, is that not leading someone to another concept of God? For it would be untruthful. How do we love him with all our heart and with all our soul (something we are taught in the New Testament). As Jesus said those who love me continue in, ‘My Word’. We do not allow subjective experiences to lead (mislead) us, nor other men’s new words of revelation that they claim came from heaven with teachings that are not found in ‘The Word.’ We are not to listen to them applies to the modern dreamers, seers of visions and Interpreters. The reason is they have lifted their spirit experience, by their fresh dreams, visions or words to be over the written Word . They have substituted themselves for the prophets in the Scripture. Which then becomes exactly what Jesus warned us would take place in the end which is written in the Scripture (Mt.24).
