p.2 Is Zionism Satanism?

Making sense out of non-sensical arguments

The new anti-God’s word trend going around is to have you side against Israel and her people. A devious twisting of the Scripture is being done to have you hate the people who gave the world the Messiah, (even though Israel has rejected him temporarily, there is always a remnant). Some are actually calling Zion and Zionism satanic, and they are calling themselves Christians.

God who wrote the Scripture through his prophets is for Zion, he created the name and the place; He appointed it.

Let me begin by saying, ‘God himself, the Messiah is a Zionist!’ Jerusalem was and will become God’s place to rule over all humanity in righteousness and peace in Zion, which is Jerusalem. We will confirm this from the Bible.

YHWH is called “the God of Israel,” he is also called the God of Zion, the city of Jerusalem, both are integrated in Scripture with his people.

Ps. 132:13 God has “chosen Zion … for His habitation,” that being Jerusalem. “This is My resting place forever; here I will dwell, for I have desired it.”

Ps. 87:1-3: “ His foundation is in the holy mountains. The LORD loves the gates of Zion more than all the dwellings of Jacob. Glorious things are spoken of you, O city of God! Selah”

Ps. 76:2 In Salem (short for Jerusalem) also is His tabernacle, And His dwelling place in Zion.”

Ps. 48:1-3 “ Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised In the city of our God, In His holy mountain. Beautiful in elevation, The joy of the whole earth, Is Mount Zion on the sides of the north, The city of the great King. God is in her palaces; He is known as her refuge.”

Islam is waging jihad against what they call the ”Zionist entity.” Zion and Zionism are used as an ethnic slur by Islam. This war is often fought in the arena of the news and promoted by biased opinions. The blame is ALWAYS put on Israel for existing there. What this means is that Islam, can have numerous Islamic (Muslim) countries in the Middle East but Israel, the Jews (Hebrews) cannot exist there. They have to ignore their Qur'an that states in Sura 5:22-23, “Remember Moses said to his people: “O my people! … He produced prophets among you, made you kings, and gave you what He had not given to any other among the peoples. “O my people! Enter the holy land which God hath assigned unto you , and turn not back ignominiously, for then will ye be overthrown, to your own ruin.” Moses is cited and the injunction is clear, the people of God, the Jews were given the land, so why do Muslims disobey their Quran?

Because Israel, the people, and the land are chosen by God, given to Israel (Jacob’s descendants). Satan, who is the Devil opposes them vigorously by every means available. Satan opposes Israel on earth and in heaven! Zech. 3:2 gives a scene of the high priest Joshua standing before the Lord, “ And the LORD said to Satan, “The LORD rebuke you, Satan! The LORD who has chosen Jerusalem rebukes you !”

Islam insists on there being no Jewish state among the Islamic states; but God has said otherwise. Ps. 129:5: “Let all those who hate Zion be put to shame and turned back.” Zion and Jews are affiliated with each other. Those who side with this current twisted view of Zionism are fighting AGAINST God and his will, the land of Israel specifically Jerusalem is referred to as ‘Zion’ and will be fulfilled in prophecy.

One does not need to be Jewish to be a Zionist, anyone recognizing the necessity for the Jewish people in their homeland in Israel. There are people on both sides that argue for or against and many do not know what they are talking about.

Another explanation

The false arguments

There are about over 9.7 million Jews living in Israel today, nearly 80% of the population in Israel is Jewish; still, Arabs are allowed to live there as well and are part of the government. Israel is not practicing apartheid.

A new Pew Research Center survey finds that nearly all Israeli Jews self-identify with one of four subgroups: Haredi (“ultra-Orthodox”), Dati (“religious”), Masorti (“traditional”) and Hiloni (“secular”).

The Haredim are the most religious group in Israel. 96% of them say religion is very important in their lives. However, the Haredim are far less likely than other Israeli Jews to identify as ‘Zionists.’

So what these people are saying about all of or the majority of Israel being Zionists is simply not true!

Looking into the past, massacring Jews took place in the Land of Israel prior to it being a state. There have always been Jews in the land. At the start of 19th century, there were less than 5,000. There were only a few others that lived in the arid desert of the land before it was transformed.

In 1929 Palestine riots resulted in the rape and murder of 133 Jews, 339 were injured, the depopulation of the Jewish community of Hebron, and six entire Jewish villages were looted and burnt to the ground.

Before the establishment of Israel, Jews were persecuted in Arab countries (just like they claim Gaza is) only worse. They had no place to flee, Jews could flee to the British Mandate of Palestine, also officially known at the time as the Land of Israel (EY), but even that wasn’t safe and Jewish refugees weren’t particularly welcome by both the Arabs or the British. Issuing the 1939 White Paper severely restricted them.

When Jews were fleeing the Nazis in Europe; a policy that continued after the war left the only one place that Holocaust survivors could go to was the Land of Israel.

What is Zionism according to the Bible?

Any Jew who desires to go back the Land of Israel, for any reason, is expressing Zionism. Those who support this return are pro-Zionism, Jewish or not.

With that being said we need to understand God’s perspective of what Zionism is

A good example, the Jewish captives that were in Babylon for 70 years longed for their homeland, which was an obvious expression of Zionism. Psalm 137:1-6: “By the rivers of Babylon, There we sat down, yea, we wept, When we remembered Zion.”The word Zionis used twice as an equivalent to Jerusalemin this Psalm.

Israel is mentioned 2,500 times in the Old Testament (approx. 75 times in the New Testament). Jews and Jewish are mentioned 173 times.

Zion appears approximately 160 times in the Hebrew Bible as a synonym for Jerusalem, the place of God. The city that David made the capital of Israel (1 Chron. 11:5; Ps. 2:6; Isa. 2:3). The ark of the covenant of the LORD was in the City of David, which is called Zion (2 Chron.5:2). When Solomon completed the Temple the Ark was deposited in the sanctuary (1 Kings 8:1, 6–9). 2 King 8:11: “Now Solomon assembled the elders of Israel and all the heads of the tribes, the chief fathers of the children of Israel, to King Solomon in Jerusalem, that they might bring up the ark of the covenant of the LORD from the City of David, which is Zion.

It is the center of Judaism, as well as the New Testament in prophecy. It is used to show a geographic location; once ruled by King David and will be ruled over by David’s seed, Jesus, as king in the Millennium. What God thinks about Zion is throughout the Scripture, no one should be ignorant on this topic.

Isaiah the Prophet, was a Zionist, he wrote in 62:1: “For Zion’s sake will I not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem’s sake I will not rest, until her righteousness go forth as brightness, and her salvation as a lamp that burns.”God spoke through Isaiah his prophet to his people Isa. 46:13 “I bring My righteousness near, it shall not be far off; My salvation shall not linger. And I will place salvation in Zion, For Israel My glory .”

Jesus did this by fulfilling his mission, it was accomplished approx. 30 AD.

As stated in the Old Testament “Behold, I am laying in Zion a stone, a tested stone,” (Isa. 28:16; 1 Cor. 3:11) “Behold I lay in Zion a chief cornerstone, elect, precious, and whoever believes on him will by no means be put to shame.” Matt 21:42 “The stone which the builders rejected Has become the chief cornerstone” (Mk.12:10; Lk.12:10). We are told by John he came to his own people and He was rejected, fulfilling prophecy.

Both Paul and Peter refer to Jesus as this cornerstone (Rom.9:33; 1 Pt.2:6; Acts 4:11).

For Jeremiah states in 26:18 “Micah of Moresheth prophesied in the days of Hezekiah king of Judah, and spoke to all the people of Judah, saying, 'Thus says the LORD of hosts: “Zion shall be plowed like a field, Jerusalem shall become heaps of ruins, And the mountain of the temple Like the bare hills of the forest.” This is recalled by Jesus in Mark 13:2 and Luke 21:6 which ultimately took place in 70 AD, because of their rejection.

2 Chron. 6:6-7: “ Yet I have chosen Jerusalem, that My name may be there.”

Zion is called by Isaiah (60:14) “they shall call you The City of the LORD, Zion of the Holy One of Israel.”It is where the Lord has and will dwell again. Joel 3:17 “ you shall know that I am the LORD your God, Dwelling in Zion My holy mountain. Then Jerusalem shall be holy.”

Isa 51:16 “… And say to Zion, 'You are My people.” That would be those of Israel.

What has brought us to this place and time

In the late 19th century, with the appearance of pogroms in Russia and Eastern Europe a desire was birthed for Jewish immigration back to a land; their land. The growing Anti-Semitism resulted in persecution of Jews in Europe, making a Jewish homeland more urgent.

Motivated by a centuries old desire to “Return to Zion” (Jerusalem) to have their Hebrew language, and the Torah to practice in their land again. This Zionism was about the safety of the Jews practicing their religion in the land God had given them.

A secular type of Zion ism began in the late 1800’s, Theodor Herzl was known as the father of what many call ‘political Zionism.’ He Outlined his vision in his publication The Jewish State, published in February 1896, stating Palestine is our unforgettable historic homeland, desiring we can live at last as free men on our own soil, and in our own homes. However, disagreements developed on the ways to achieve this goal. Especially when Marxist socialists got involved bringing in their secular slant.

Anti-semitism has historically always meant a hatred toward the Jews. It is not a term that can be used rationally against any other Semitic people, it refers to anti-Jewish sentiment alone. (The Changing Face of Antisemitism: From Ancient Times to the Present Day (1st ed.). Oxford University Press. P. 21)

This is not just found in Islam, it is the spirit of the age. It finds its place established among the ‘sons of disobedience.’ The problem is with those who see Zion as a controversy, they even those who are Christian and Jews do not have trust in the God who is able to bring them back into Zion for his reasons. Regardless, the Tradition of return is seen at every Passover meal that ends with the words “Next Year in Yerushalaem” (Jerusalem).

The first non-Jewish supporters of Zionism were Christians, they understood the bible's prophecies of the last days. This developed into an international support movement for the return of the Jewish people to Zion, the land of Israel, to fulfill prophecy. It is a desire for the salvation of Israel.

Today non-religious Jews do not see any religious significance to the formation of the modern state and often disagree with every decision made. And a certain segment of the Church agrees with them. There are also religious Jews who are anti-Zionists that side with Israel's enemies, disregarding what is spoken of in Scripture of the land. Some ultra-orthodox, of the Hasidic sect of Judaism are anti-Zionists. Many take the side of pacifism when Israel is viciously attacked. This reminds me of Israel’s escape from Egypt the spies who were sent into the land and did not want to fight, even though God assured them victory, that the land is given to them.

4,000 years ago in Gn.12 God spoke of the whole world being blessed by Abraham, How? By the promised seed of Gn.3:15. True Christians, those who understand the covenant support the people of God who gave us the Messiah as promised in Gn.12. Zionism is not a political doctrine even though many are making it out to be. Zionism from a biblical perspective is the belief that ALL the land of Israel (this tiny sliver in the Middle East) belongs to God who gave it to his people, the Jews, and that God Himself, as the Messiah will return at the Second Advent to have it, for he rule the world from Israel, in Zion. If you do not acknowledge this as a Christian or Jew you may need to reevaluate whose side your on.

The world is being convinced that Zionism is a “racist movement” that Israel is an “apartheid state.” They promote it as a Palestinian state and it is their land, that Israel are occupiers, reversing actual history.

Zionism is essential to the nation and people of Israel. It is part of the covenant by God in the Torah, consisting of the land promised to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob (Gn.12). Israel is a people, a nation that have a land, and that is what Zionism is about. For it means advocating for the Jews to be allowed to return to their homeland (Which is Aliyah, immigrants from other lands coming to Israel). The bible is abundant with statements of both past and future on their return.

Isa. 51:16 “… Lay the foundations of the earth, And say to Zion, 'You are My people .'“

So much disinformation has been released to oppose a Jewish homeland that it has become a platform for promoting the auspices of hate – the basis for anti-semitism. This is especially done continually through the UN.

God promises Zion will be restored

We must go to Scripture to see God’s answer on this! Prophetically speaking, Zion is the future name of the Millennial City when the Messiah will reign with justice over all the earth. Jerusalem is not only the future capital city of the nation Israel, but the capitol of the world in the millennial reign of Christ (Isa. 1:27; 2:3; 4:1-6; Joel 3:16; Zech. 1:16-17; 8:3-8).

In this famous passage Ps. 2:1-6 “Why do the nations rage, And the people plot a vain thing? The kings of the earth set themselves, And the rulers take counsel together, Against the LORD and against His Anointed, saying, “Let us break Their bonds in pieces And cast away Their cords from us.” The Lord later says v.6 “Yet I have set My King On My holy hill of Zion.”

Who is he speaking of? None other than the Messiah of Israel Yeshua Ha Maschich (Jesus the Christ). Understand that the world does not want to have anything to do with the Gen.12 blessing that came through Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, so they fall in line and follow blindly those who viciously oppose it, which is Islam and the promoters of the NWO, the globalists and their reset.

Zech. 1:14-17 “I am zealous for Jerusalem And for Zion with great zeal” V.17 The LORD will again comfort Zion, And will again choose Jerusalem.”

Zech. 8:3 “Thus says the LORD: ‘I will return to Zion, and dwell in the midst of Jerusalem. Jerusalem shall be called the City of Truth, the Mountain of the LORD of hosts, the Holy Mountain.'’

The World opposes God by disallowing Israel to accept its people and be autonomous.

The psalms are full of prayers. Ps 14:7 “Oh, that the salvation of Israel would come out of Zion! When the LORD brings back the captivity of His people, Let Jacob rejoice and Israel be glad.” (Jacob whose name was changed to Israel, repeated in Ps. 53:6)

God’s desire is “Return, O backsliding children,” says the LORD; “for I am married to you. I will take you, one from a city and two from a family, and I will bring you to Zion” (Jer. 3:14-16).

The land of Israel belongs to God who gave it to the Jews, and it involves God Himself, the Messiah returning at the Second Advent and will sit on David’s throne over a unified Israel in his kingdom. If you hate Zionism now, then you better sit out the Millennium because Zion will be the focus of law in all the earth. “Blessed be the LORD out of Zion, which dwelleth at Jerusalem. Praise ye the LORD” (Psalm 135:21).

Isa. 60:14 “Also the sons of those who afflicted you Shall come bowing to you, And all those who despised you shall fall prostrate at the soles of your feet; And they shall call you The City of the LORD, Zion of the Holy One of Israel.

Isa. 52:8-9 “Your watchmen shall lift up their voices, With their voices they shall sing together; For they shall see eye to eye When the LORD brings back Zion. Break forth into joy, sing together, You waste places of Jerusalem! For the LORD has comforted His people, He has redeemed Jerusalem.”

It is then Israel will “sing to the LORD a new song! For He has done marvelous things; His right hand and His holy arm have gained Him the victory. he LORD has made known His salvation; His righteousness He has revealed in the sight of the nations. He has remembered His mercy and His faithfulness to the house of Israel; All the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God” (Ps. 98:3).

1 Chron. 23:25: For David said, “The LORD God of Israel has given rest to His people, that they may dwell in Jerusalem forever.”

Micah 4:7: “so the LORD will reign over them in Mount Zion from now on, even forever.”
