Has the millennium commenced? First comes a Tribulation period before the Millennium. Jesus describes this as the worst time in mankind's history, (Mt.24:21-22) it will be brutal. Clearly we are not in the Millennium but still in the church age that began at Pentecost continually extending until the tribulation commences. It will end abruptly the wrath of God fall upon the rebellious world. The debate is whether the saints being removed before the judgements of God fall or during them. There is prophesied to be a covenant made between the Antichrist and Israel. Which presupposes a Jewish State must exist before such a covenant is signed by them. There is also the mention of a temple for the Tribulation (Mt.24, 2 Thess.2) that he, the false messiah that will be adored by the world will go in and declare himself God to the world. Israel as a nation is in blindness, though individuals do recognize Jesus as their messiah. this will slowly change through the tribulation and will completely change near the end of the 7 year trib after the fleeing from Jerusalem occurs and Israel is gathered together for their national repentance as explained in Zech 12:10 Getting back to the millennium period of which the bible refers to 3 times as 1000 years long in the book of Revelation. Who are the people living in the Millennial kingdom? Once Jesus clears off the earth those who did evil at his second coming, by judging the sheep from the goats (Mt.25), those who took the mark of the Beast. There will be those who are sheep that are allowed to enter the Millennium. Only the saved enter the kingdom. The saved that go through the tribulation and survive will be distinguished from the believers that returned with Jesus having their eternal glorified bodies. Those who will co - rule and reign in the kingdom over the saved that survived the tribulation. At this point of time there will be no unbelievers. They will be teaching those who have survived the word of God just as the levites did with Israel. In the process of time, children will be born in to them. Natural people that will continue to inherit the sin nature from their natural parents who will also be in need of regeneration (as we are today). Satan during this time (the Millennium) is confined in the Abyss, but man’s sin nature will still be with mankind, but not with the ones who returned with Jesus who are now eternally sinless, who received their resurrected bodies. Satan and his kingdom influences people to sin. However, the main reason we sin is because nature of man has sin which is the cause for anyone to commit acts of sin. Even if there were no Satan or demons human beings would still be committing sin because of their sin nature. Therefore, sin will not be entirely eliminated in the Millennium but will be greatly reduced during the Kingdom there will be no satanic or demonic temptation. Isa 65:20 “No more shall an infant from there live but a few days, Nor an old man who has not fulfilled his days; For the child shall die one hundred years old, But the sinner being one hundred years old shall be accursed. ” Here is the Messiahs promise for the millennium a child will have one hundred years and will be accurse if they continue to be a sinner, the older men will live out their days like it was in Genesis. As for the animals dire enemies will be at peace Isa 65:25 “ The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, The lion shall eat straw like the ox.” Animals will not longer be his prey. The Lord will show us at this time the effect of sin had on all of us without any fallen angel’s influence. The unsaved people living in the Kingdom era will be increasing in population until the end of the thousand years, where the last rebellion from among the youth (the unsaved) takes place. Seen in Rev 20:7-8 “ Now when the thousand years have expired, Satan will be released from his prison 8 and will go out to deceive the nations which are in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle, whose number is as the sand of the sea. ” The beast and the false prophet are kept in prison but the Devil is released. All this animosity builds up in him that he immediately goes into warfare. V:9-10 fire came down from God out of heaven and devoured them.” The devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet are,” to be tormented day and night forever and ever. It is after this time God instigates an eternal order. Rev 20:12, All the dead are judged. a new heaven and a new earth, are made Rev 21:1, v3-4 God is with them v.4 And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying . What a time this will be. “Come Lord Jesus” |
