Do we have a sin nature or NOT? Some doctrinal positions that have been taken in the church just do not need to be debated nor questioned if one would look at the Scripture and use Bible logic. If one is born without a sin nature than they are sinless, than Christ is not the only one born without sin. Why would he need to be brought into the world by a virgin conceiving him by the Holy Spirit. In fact all this becomes meaningless when one takes this position that sin was not passed down from Adam. But the Bible explicitly says 1 Cor. 15:22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall be made alive. “And Paul explains the wages of sin is death, thus we are sinful and are severed from a relationship with God the creator; and the only way to change this is to believe in Christ to have this severed relationship reversed. We can choose not to sin in a very strong exercise of our will and go against our nature, but we will choose to sin more often (like gravity) because we have a sin nature. This does not exclude we can make right decisions but without God we naturally make wrong decisions. And God’s instructions from his Word one is our standard, one cannot know what to choose what is good or right without knowing it (Rom.5:12 the law). One does not become a sinner because they have sinned, they sin because they are as sinner . Rom. 5:17 For if by the one man's offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.) Therefore, as through one man's offense judgment came to all men, resulting in condemnation, even so through one Man's righteous act the free gift came to all men, resulting in justification of life. For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners” As the Bible says, Rom 3:23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God ” Rom 5:12 Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned.” For those who claim no sin 1 John 1:10 If we say that we have not sinned , we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us. ” |
