A true Christmas message Most of the world celebrates Christmas without Christ because they live every day without him and more often not a second thought occurs. The celebration is about the savior being born, God with us then and wants to be with you now. But the world pays no attention to this, even when hearing ‘Jesus is the reason for the season’, (he is the reason for living) and all the traditional songs sung about him have to compete with songs of winter, fun in the snow, friendship gatherings and other meanings that detract played on TV and radio. Blinded by pursuit of fun and parties which is engrained in western culture, they buy what is advertised and avert the actual reason, they do the very opposite that God would want them to do as self- infatuation and gratification is pursued. The Holy Spirit was sent to be on the earth when Jesus left to be with the Father in heaven (from where he was sent by him as the Son of God). The son then sent another to continue his work by convicting men’s conscience of three specific components. Jesus promised, “ the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you. And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: of sin, because they do not believe in Me” ( John 16:7-9 So why do they not respond in in the time of everyone speaking of him and saying to have a merry Christmas (even those who say happy holidays, which includes everything)? He will “convict the world of sin , people do not know what this is or means, it needs to be explained that we are all in the same boat, we are all fallen , meaning, we fall SHORT of Gods glory. God uses the believers who carry the message to help those understand ‘ holding fast the faithful word as he has been taught, that he may be able, by sound doctrine, both to exhort and convict those who contradict .” (Titus 1:9) Jude 14-15 we are told when the Lord returns “ with ten thousands of His saints, he will “ execute judgment on all, to convict all who are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have committed in an ungodly way, and of all the harsh things which ungodly sinners have spoken against Him." If they have spoken against you when you spoke his message out of love for them, they have spoken against him. “and of righteousness , that we can never have the righteousness that God requires in his law, Jesus alone is the righteous one. Jesus is the reason for the season, for everything. Rom 10:3-4 For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and seeking to establish their own righteousness , have not submitted to the righteousness of God. For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes Rom. 3:25-26 God set forth as a propitiation by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness , because in His forbearance God had passed over the sins that were previously committed, to demonstrate at the present time His righteousness , that He might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.” “and of judgment, that we all, must appear for an account before our maker (who is God) for what we have done wrong in our life. Jesus said in Matt 12:41 ‘The men of Nineveh will rise up in the judgment with this generation and condemn it, because they repented at the preaching of Jonah; and indeed a greater than Jonah is here. Nineveh were all gentiles, but when Jonah visited them after he was resurrected they all believed his message. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. They represent Gods mercy to a generation of Jews that saw Jesus’ miracles and still did not turn. It is recorded of Paul speaking to the Greek Gentiles “ because He has appointed a day on which He will judge the world in righteousness by the Man whom He has ordained . He has given assurance of this to all by raising Him from the dead." (Acts 17:31) The message of Jesus birth is about his death, for he was born to die as the lamb who takes away the sins of the world. All are included. But for this to occur in an individual’s life they must believe the whole message, believe he came to die for their sin as the only one who could, as God who took a human body lived a perfect life fulfilling all the requirements of the law and willingly died a innocents death of suffering for YOU. 2 Cor. 5:21 “For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.” 1 Peter 2:21-22 “Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that you should follow His steps: "Who committed no sin, Nor was deceit found in His mouth ” So it will be as in the days of Noah, the offer to save any was presented for 120 years and then came to a close. The whole world basically mocked while the very few 8 of Noah’s family believe and acted on it building an ark for all. Are you of the few or the many? Titus 3:4-7 “But when the kindness and the love of God our Savior toward man appeared, not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior, that having been justified by His grace we should become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.” Kindness, mercy are what God wants to give to you as his free gift, that we become clean, renewed and inheritors of eternal life with our maker and creator of all things. Consider the real reason for Jesus .
