Awaken the Christ Within Summit This gathering happens to be the most significant gathering of new agers that we have seen in a long time. They are those who are trying to identify with Christ and introduce this as a ‘new Christian movement publicly. They are endeavoring to bring their misinterpreted Christian persuasion without the gospel. First let me point out that their online summit webpage ‘Awaken The Christ Within: Walking The Jesus Way,’video introduction greets you with a picture of Jesuscontaining a subtle third eye in the picture. The Title of the summit and the picture gives the plot away. Their meetings are now being streamed, I will address what they are using to define their own definitions of Christianity , what they are using as their basis taught in their meetings. Posted: Anyone can say, "I believe in Jesus," but belief was never what He asked for. Instead, He said: "Why do you call me 'Lord, Lord,' and do not do what I say?" - Luke 6:46 and "If you love me, keep my commandments." - John 14:15. He asked for us to live His words every day, in every choice we make. The words that asked us to love thy neighbor, love God, to carry forgiveness in our hearts, and to serve. In His teachings and example, Jesus showed that the 'Christ' (Anointed One) is our true nature: the perfect expression of humanity in God's likeness, united, whole, loved, at peace, and filled with divine love. Through our words and actions, a loving and peaceful Edenic world is possible.” Underline mine This is how Christ comes back through you and I. Jesus revealed that the Christ is the divine essence of every soul, the image of humanity in full harmony with its Creator. The second coming of Christ is happening within our very own hearts. As you follow His words, you become a living testimony that Christ has returned. For Christ returns each time a heart chooses to follow His commandments. NO, this is not the truth. The Christ that they are speaking and quoting from is in the Scriptures, but is not the Christ Jesus of the Scriptures. What they describe is certainly not his second coming, nor did Jesus teach that Christ is OUR true nature. He said he would return as he left, visibly and in person, not the way they are interpreting Christ coming in all of us. The tentacles of this stretch far and deep, as they have been deceived into following another Jesus, and they are deceiving others through a new way (the new age), representing it as the proper and better way. All of this is done ‘in Jesus’ name’ just as he foretold us. He is being used because his name is above all others. This is wayward movement, who is charming you into what they have come to believe to be the right way… I know, I was once one of them. First, let me address the Bible's statement that Christ is our true nature. It is not. Our true human nature is fallen; we are sinful. God is not within us. This sinful nature is what Christ came to rectify by purposely shedding his blood for our sins. It is to bring us back to God in a relationship, not to show us we are God. There is only one person who is Christ, the Messiah, who is a single person, not many. Christ is one who was sent from heaven, who is God, who became human as Jesus. He had to become the final and greatest sacrifice, something that he first instituted in the garden when our first parents of the human race fell, whose nature was changed to be sinful, by their disobedience. Jesus spoke of the time of the end, there would be deception everywhere (Mt.24). If this deception were likened to water, it would be a flood covering the earth. And it is happening just as he told us. He warned many would come in his name, even claiming to be Christ. Uncannily, this gathering is being launched by appealing to others with the very warning Jesus gave us. The people asked Jesus what they must do to do the works of God. This is exactly what they are speaking of here: to “ do what I say," to “keep my commandments," to live His words every day, in every choice we make.” Jesus’ answer to their question as “to believe on him who was sent.” Who was sent? God was incarnated only once to fulfill the ancient Scriptures. And this believing is about trusting in him being the truth, to have faith in him for salvation, to be saved from the penalty of sin. Jesus did speak to obey, and faith in him is obedience; in fact, it is the first thing we do to obey him. This is how we can do his will. It is to be born again spiritually. No one can do the words he teaches us, without his spirit internally present to understand what is written and to obey. But their message is not this at all. They invite people of all religions to make us one, as they teach that Christ is not confined to any one religion. By following Jesus their way, you are not in the body of Christ, his church, but another way with a different spirit and another Jesus. They are offering Jesus’ words to become alive in your heart as you “ Join a worldwide community awakening to the true Gospel Jesus taught.” They tantalize you by being “a part of something bigger than yourself, with others who are awakening to the same Light.” They claim to teach step by step guidance, a daily embodiment to bring forgiveness, love, and peace in your life. This is the false light of the New Age Movement, not the true light which is the Word understood within the confines of the Word. They interpret it by using foreign spiritual ways that Jesus never spoke of. Gnostic Christianity The Gnostics' writings, which these people quote and distribute in their summit, were rejected by John the Apostle and by the early Church. For Example, Irenaeus debated the Gnostics in the 200s. He called them enemies of the truth while they quoted Jesus profusely. New interpretations are made up from the words in the Bible, contorted into a mystic way of explanation. How do I know this is the outcome? Because of whom they recommend reading and are teaching from. Let's look at their own wrong interpretations that they use. + Seek the Kingdom Within " The kingdom of God is within you." - Luke 17:21 Jesus was speaking to the Pharisees when he said this, certainly they did not have the kingdom within them. In fact the literal meaning in the Greek language it is written in is that the kingdom is within your midst, among you, not in you. Wherever Christ is present, the kingdom is there with him. As the example he gave of his power to remove demons (Mt.12:28) Within all this, they are speaking of a Christ within all of us, not the one person who is God’s Christ (anointed) sent from heaven. In their explanation, they say. Love God Fully "Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind." To Love Your Neighbor as Yourself "Love your neighbor as yourself." To Forgive Fully & Without Limit "Forgive, and you will be forgiven." Love as He Loved "This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you." And much more . We believe that Jesus' words alone are sufficient for salvation. Do you? These commands they cite do not bring salvation, only the gospel does. The death, burial and resurrection of the God who became man in Jesus Christ. It is about what he did for us (grace),not what we do for him. But this is what the Gnostics who distorted the message denied. Their ‘Jesus Way’ they are presenting —is a Way that awakenswhat is in you. Where did Christ consciousness come from? It was first used by other metaphysical schools of thought and adopted by the yogis. Paramahansa in his book, ‘Autobiography of a Yogi.’ “ Jesus, who had achieved entire oneness with that 22Christ consciousness ' (p.178). Many new agers repeat this as inner transformation through a number of spiritual techniques. That Christ is in us all, waiting to be discovered and released. It conveys “at-one-ment” (not atonement), unity with the divine. Strictly a new age term of description of one realizing they are divine and one with God, thereby becoming a Christ or as described as an enlightened being. The return of a World Teacher, some say is Maitreya, speaks of Christ in the same manner. This reappearance is a way of talking about a collective shift in consciousness; what could be called the rebirth of 20 Christ consciousness within the heart. No one religion, not even Christianity has Christ Consciousness is not confined to any single religious tradition, it is seen as a call to anyone who wants to exhibit the qualities of love, forgiveness, and humility By aligning oneself with the teachings and example of Jesus, one can attain a higher level of spiritual enlightenment and moral integrity. This inner transformation comes by using practices such as meditation, The New age Encourages to look beyond ‘dogmatic bible interpretations’ to have a direct, personal experience of the divine, to live in alignment with divine principles. It does not matter how holy they sound, or how good they look, or how pure a food they eat, Paul told us “ For the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit Rom 14:17. He also said in Col 2:16 “ let no one judge you in food or in drink.” Granted that some of their teachings can contain some practical logic, while other teachings are deeply occult and will always lead you away from the biblical Jesus. How did they arrive at their conclusions? There is a common factor that runs through this. Many have the same complaint about the organized church overtaking Christ's teachings; and to this, they do have a point. As the Roman Church decoupled itself from its Judaic roots and established itself through its Pope and priesthood, they changed certain spiritual teachings to be literal and literal teachings to be spiritual, making it confusing. But they seem to ignore that they, too, reject what God had delivered and preserved, searching for the historic Christ and Christianity outside the Bible. They are doing the same, as they use his name to provide something foreign based on knowledge taken from outside the Bible and by their spiritual experiences. Let me randomly pick just a few of the many teachers at this event. Aaron Abke tells us he was immersed in Christian ministry and theology raised in a Christian home. He went to Oral Roberts University and got a degree in Music and theology. His story is similar to others who had not grasped the meaning of Scripture correctly. He explains the church he worked at was extremely fundamentalist, the sermons were about how the whole world is going to hell and the rapture could come at any moment. He said I couldn’t resonate with these dogmatic beliefs at 23. He divorced his Christian wife, and sought another path, first becoming a fitness trainer. He was listening to Eckhart Tolle,… later had a kundalini awakening. This is the commonality, finding that the traditional frameworks could not answer his deepest questions about life, consciousness, and the nature of self. He has a holistic approach as stated on his awakening collective website. He speaks on integrate wisdom from Christianity, Advaita Vedanta, A Course in Miracles, The Law of One, and modern psychology. By doing so, he alters the teachings of Jesus. David Wolfe whose subject is “The Teachings of Jesus Christ and the 5th Gospel” According to Rudolf Steiner, is apparently disciple, influenced by Steiner’s mystical works. (Hear his interview on The Forgotten Spiritual Wisdom of The ESSENES) . besides the overall theme of Christ consciousness. They speak of Paths For Realizing Your Higher Self, the uniting, synchronized praying, the Essene origins of Christianity, manifesting Christ, the divine feminine, Anahata Breathwork (utilizes breath as a tool for self discovery and inner transformation), awakening to the kingdom within, and bringing the kingdom out into the world. Their teachings include, along with Rudolf Steiner, Emmanuel Swedenborg, Edgar Cayce, and his teachings on past lives. Many do not understand what they are doing, but some certainly do. When you see these topics and names, you should know that it is about conglomerating his word with other spiritual concepts, which have nothing to do with the Jesus of the Bible; they actually deny him and his revelation. Looking at just some of the people involved and what they draw from as their spiritual teaching, they have new ways and new terminology to express ancient occult ideas. We can trace all that they are saying back to those who began various occult movements Regardless of what kind of New Ager one is, if one believes their true self is god, they do not believe in a personal transcendent God who created all things of whom we are all accountable to. God to them is impersonal, he becomes a force which can be manipulated either for good or evil, which is sorcery. The Akashic records are mentioned
Akashic Record contains the record of every person's every word, thought or act inscribed in the earth or spirit realms. “Consciousness of the omnipotence of God and man. 2 Christ consciousness, or consciousness of Divine Love. 3 Consciousness of the Holy Breath, or of Supreme Intelligence. THE AQUARIAN GOSPEL, by Levi H. Dowling), who transcribed this knowledge from the Akashic Records. On the back cover Levi writes, “ The story of Jesus, the man from Galilee, and how he attained the Christ consciousness open to all men. A complete record of the "lost" eighteen years so strangely silent in the New Testament; a period spent traveling and learning from the masters, seers and wisemen in the temples and schools of Tibet, Egypt, India, Persia and Greece . Levi cites, “Before creation was the Christ walked with the Father God and Mother God in Akasha.” “Levi has been permitted to gather from the Akashic Records, or the Universal Mind, we find one on Man in which his descent into physical matter and his final ascent into an eternal oneness with God is so graphically described that it certainly merits a place in this Introduction, and we give it in full: “Time never was when man was not. “The life of man at any time began a time would come when it would end.” Christ consciousness, also known as cosmic consciousness and by other terms contained in various Mystical books.The channeled Urantia book speaks of cosmic consciousness, “ … some supernal and divine, destiny awaits all who complete the progressive Paradise ascension, brings one to the liberty of divine sonship.” You find this teaching among Ascended Masters teachings of whom Jesus is but one of them. Enkankar says, The leaders in the mind-theory field have a definite place in our spiritual world, for this is the jumping-off place from which most of us start the voyage to reach the highest God. In the Christian Church have been seekers of the cosmic consciousness, or what is known as the enlightened mind, most of them have left records proving they were followers of the principle of soul travel.” Rudolf Steiner The German Mystic, Rudolph Steiner, seems to be popular among them. He started Anthroposophy, an esoteric cult. The term literally means "wisdom of man," teaches that we possess the truth within ourselves. He taught to awaken the eternal that exists within self. Which is the opposite of what Jesus said, that he alone is the truth, as is the Word of God, He is the life. Steiner wrote, “ Everyone can attain this knowledge; in each one of us lies the faculty of recognizing and contemplating for ourselves what genuine Mysticism, Spiritual Science, Anthroposophy and Gnosis teach. Only the right means must be chosen.” The Bible contains four Gospels, however, there were many more counterfeit accounts of Jesus’ life and teachings circulating in the early days of Christianity. The Gnostics gave a very different perspective on Jesus and his message that did not coincide with the bible delivered by the apostles who learned from him. Rudolf Steiner acquired his 5th Gospel by clairvoyant reading of the Akashic records. It was not written like the other 4 gospels by eyewitnesses that were with Jesus. He tapped into the Akashic records were the memory of all mankinds, thoughts, actions, and events. He revealed aspects of Jesus Christ's life that are not recorded in the Gospels, including a life in the Essene community. All these concepts I learned from the same people, when I was involved in this movement. The most serious deviation is them speaking of the second coming within all, not the person of Christ returning the same way he left.Christ is not collective principle or consciousness (plural). The bible makes it clear he is Gods anointed one sent to earth through a virgin conceiving fulfilling ancient prophecies. To give an example of this, John Nolan when interviewing Mike Adams (one of the speakers), says to him, “ My perception is that we have been shown through the teachings of Jesus, of the actual manifested man, what Christ consciousness means …what if this physical return is really a return of Christ consciousness? I ask myself this. And what if we all have the innate ability to open ourselves up to that Christ consciousness? Is that something that it could be a possibility that we are maybe through translations and over time and maybe even deception have misunderstood this concept?” Mike Adams’ response: “the Bible speaks in abstractions so, so often, most of it is actually just a metaphor for something much larger. So the return of Christ is, I think you're right, the return of Christ consciousness . it must happen by the dismantling of the satanic control grid. It has suppressed higher awakening.. .the so-called psychic phenomenon such as premonition. …People are having dreams…having visions… even auditory voices like Moses ... I think the demonic control grid is also weakening and then kind of some consciousness is breaking through. And when it breaks through globally, that's the return of Christ consciousness, as you say. I think you've nailed it.”(The New INSPIRED ‘Spiritual People Need To Prepare’, John Nolan interviewing Mike Adams) The New Age view is that there is no personal coming of Jesus as the Second Coming of Christ; this coming of Christ is through everyone by ascending in consciousness ... both Adams and his friend and the others agree on this (to read the whole article ). These are standard occult teachings and practices foreign to the word that they use to synthesize their particular spiritual concepts into a refashioned terminology. I have warned about the NAM since I was saved out of its clutches. If you deny Christ being the only God /man and his blood atonement for sin than you are not saved, you are not a Christian, you are not a follower no matter how many times you repeat his name or say you love him. Many entertained these false teachings not recognizing them as lies because they do not know or accept the truth. I have to add that it is because of an apathy in the church to publicly counter these continually resurfaced ancient ideas that were considered heresy by the first pastors within the church, they have a platform to speak and CHALLENGE THE CHURCH’s teachings.
