We clearly have seen in history it is not. Al-Mahdi is considered a Major Sign of the Qiyamah. This title means "the Guided One," i.e., he will be guided by Allah. It can also mean "the Gifted One. Jews wait for the Messiah, Christians wait for Jesus’ return as messiah, and Muslims are waiting for both the Mahdi and Isa. All religions describe them as men coming to save the world. Isa is not Jesus and Islam has another Messiah offered. Islam is well prepared to have its own Messiah to their religion, as long as it is not Jesus; a Jew. The coming of the Mahdi is the central crowning element of all Islamic end-time narratives. According to Twelver doctrine, Muhammad ibn al-Hassan is the current Imam the promised Mahdi , a messianic type figure that returns with Isa,Jesus. Who will endorse him? They write,“I find the Mahdi recorded in the books of the Prophets… For instance, the Book of Revelation says: “And I saw and behold a white horse. The bible speaks of those who are beheaded will be raised to life because
they were obedient to God, Revelation 20:4 “Then I saw thrones, and they
sat on them, and judgment was given to them. And I saw the souls of those
who had been beheaded because of their testimony of Jesus and because of the
word of God, and those who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had
not received the mark on their forehead and on their hand” |
