Why did Paul give them such a commendation that they are more noble than the other Jews? It becomes clear that this was the procedure in Judaism to keep themselves PROTECTED from false prophets. And some of them were persuaded; and a great multitude of the devout Greeks, and not a few of the leading women, joined Paul and Silas. But the Jews who were not persuaded, becoming envious, took some of the evil men from the marketplace, and gathering a mob, set all the city in an uproar and attacked the house of Jason, and sought to bring them out to the people. But when they did not find them, they dragged Jason and some brethren to the rulers of the city, crying out, "These who have turned the world upside down have come here too . Notice what it says, they found evil men in the marketplace that opposed the teachings of the Scripture. Rome hijacked the Christianity that came from Judaism and made it into a Gentile/adaption with the pagan ideas at the time, Christianized them, that discarded and disguised the truth. He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine but the Father's who sent Me. Compare his words to what the Roman church tells us about their later traditions like purgatory. In fact through history they prevented people from reading God word and tried to limit to only their priests, for having control. Who is the holy father ACCORDING TO Jesus His only Son? He is God, the creator. Ps 18: 30As for God, His way is perfect; The word of the LORD is proven; He is a shield to all who trust in Him. The Bible says in Ps. 138:2 For You have magnified Your word above all Your name. And that is what the Lord wants us to understand. Any church that does not respect the word of God they make the traditions (their words added throughout the centuries, equal, which shows they despise the Word, eventually they will be judged. |
