What is Armageddon? This event is identified as the apocalypse, it ends the Great tribulation, that lasts for 7 years the world is ruled by the false messiah and his followers who took the emblem(the mark). In actuality it is Jesus returning to save the world from the wicked one who is ruling over them who then becomes the king who separates the sheep from the goats who then is to rule over the world justly from Zion, Jerusalem. Jer. 25:33 The LORD will roar from on high, And utter His voice from His holy habitation;He will roar mightily against His fold.He will give a shout, as those who tread the grapes,Against all the inhabitants of the earth. A noise will come to the ends of the earth--For the LORD has a controversy with the nations;He will plead His case with all flesh.He will give those who are wicked to the sword,' says the LORD." Thus says the LORD of hosts: "Behold, disaster shall go forth From nation to nation, And a great whirlwind shall be raised up From the farthest parts of the earth. "And at that day the slain of the LORD shall be from one end of the earth even to the other end of the earth. They shall not be lamented, or gathered, or buried; they shall become refuse on the ground.” This is how the world ends with the wicked being burned,their flesh disintegrated.Zech. 14:12 “ And this shall be the plague with which the LORD will strike all the people who fought against Jerusalem: Their flesh shall dissolve while they stand on their feet, their eyes shall dissolve in their sockets, And their tongues shall dissolve in their mouths.” Gods glory is seen coming from heaven as he destroys all the wicked at once, first their leader “I willbring distress upon men, And they shall walk like blind men, Because they have sinnedagainst the LORD; Their blood shall be poured out like dust, And their flesh like refuse.”Zeph. 1:7-8)The bloodiest battle in human history will occur in this place, at this time. Israel will be saved spiritual and physically from her enemies. Rom. 1:18 “For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men,” Paul says Rom., 11:26-27 “He will turn away ungodliness from Jacob; For this is My covenant with them, When I take away their sins." God does not destroy Israel with the rest of the nations. He saves them on this day of his judgment. After the slaughter of the wicked armies of antichrist, Where he will divide the sheep from the goatsnm Jesuswill then go into the Land of Israel from the southeast Jordan to the Mt. of Olives.In Psalm 2, we learn more about the authority granted to the King Messiah, who is to sit on David's throne in Zion. The nations are his inheritance, Zech. 14:8-9 “In that day it shall be--"The LORD is one, “And His name one.”All the earth will know the Lord as king. No longer will his people be “destroyed for lack of knowledge” As he promised Jer 46:28 Do not fear, O Jacob My servant," says the LORD,"For I am with you; For I will make a complete end of all the nations To which I have driven you, But I will not make a complete end of you. I will rightly correct you, For I will not leave you wholly unpunished." As the Lord is just in his punishment. It is after our judgment of our works, of the church, the wedding occurs in heaven , all the saints will return with him to earth as he leads us in the second coming. Jude recalls the oldest prophecy of the Second Coming attributed to Enoch before the judgment of the flood, (Jude v.14-15) “Behold, the Lord comes with ten thousands of His saints, to execute judgment on all…” The greatest event for planet earth is yet in the future, where the desire for peace will finally be realized by the desire of the nations, as the holy and righteous one returns. And we will return with him and be right there beside him watching the spectacle.“ Thus the LORD my God will come, And all the saints with You” (Zech. 14:5).1 Thess. 3:13 “the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all His saints.” The Bride, the Church (and God’s angels, 2 Thess.1:7) accompany the Messiah (Bridegroom) back to earth from heaven and watch the nation of Israel being saved. The saints, the whole church, and the angels all watch. As God’s right hand (God’s arm) brings salvation to all the remnant of Israel and removes all the wicked that were against them under the rule of the false christ.2 Thess. 1:7-8 “the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with His mighty angels, in flaming fire taking vengeance on those who do not know God, and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.” What is spoken here is from the Old Testament as told by Isaiah, “For behold, the LORD will come with fire And with His chariots, like a whirlwind, To render His anger with fury, And His rebuke with flames of fire. For by fire and by His sword The LORD will judge all flesh; And the slain of the LORD shall be many” (Isa. 66:15-16). The ‘all’ is specified by other scriptures (Mt.25). When it says in 2 Thess. 2:8, it says the Lord, “will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming” It refers to our God as a consuming fire in his wrath. Isa 30:33 speaks of “the breath of the LORD, like a stream of brimstone.” Ps. 97:2-3 “Righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne. A fire goes before Him, And burns up His enemies round about.” So goes his enemies. |
