p.3 The Tribulation coming- The fig tree The fig tree is specifically used of the nation Israels ondition, remember what Jesus said of it when he inspected the tree, it was to have fruit. He spoke of Israel having the fruit of repentance Mark 12:1-11 Then He began to speak to them in parables: "A man planted a vineyard and set a hedge around it, dug a place for the wine vat and built a tower. And he leased it to vinedressers and went into a far country. Now at vintage-time he sent a servant to the vinedressers, that he might receive some of the fruit of the vineyard from the vinedressers. And they took him and beat him and sent him away empty-handed. Again he sent them another servant, and at him they threw stones, wounded him in the head, and sent him away shamefully treated. And again he sent another, and him they killed; and many others, beating some and killing some. Therefore still having one son, his beloved, he also sent him to them last, saying, 'They will respect my son.' "But those vinedressers said among themselves, 'This is the heir. Come, let us kill him, and the inheritance will be ours.' 8 "So they took him and killed him and cast him out of the vineyard. Therefore what will the owner of the vineyard do? He will come and destroy the vinedressers, and give the vineyard to others. 1 Have you not read this Scripture: 'The stone which the builders rejected Has become the chief cornerstone. “This was the LORD's doing, And it is marvelous in our eyes'?" The stone, the rock, was killed an then resurrected, that was marvelous. The end is set up like bowling pins with the one who bowls a perfect game all will be revealed, and all the pins go down. Matt 24:32-35 “ Now learn this parable from the fig tree: When its branch has already become tender and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near. So you also, when you see all these things, know that it is near--at the doors! Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all these things take place. Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.” A fig trees fruit is produced with leaves growing. 2 Thess. 2:3-5 tells us the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God. Its only in a season, the time of apostasy that church sets the stage for the counterfeit to come and be revealed. 2 Thess. 2:9-12 “ The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
The wrath of God “For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ” (1 Thess. 5:9). We read in Scripture John 3:36 “He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him." This expresses all who do not believe are going to see Gods wrath in judgement when the time comes. Paul explains whom the wrath of God is for. Rom. 1:18-20 “For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. Eph. 5:6-7“Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience. Therefore do not be partakers with them.” Col 3:6-7“Because of these things the wrath of God is coming upon the sons of disobedience, Sons of disobedience, the ungodly, those who are comfortable that live in darkness. 1 Thess 5:4-5 “ But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief.
that day would not be the wrath of God but be the time of the tribulation
itself which is what the lord is saying to the Philadelphians in Rev 3:10
The believer that has the blood of Christ applied does not receive his wrath“Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him” (Romans 5:9) We have been told of this day is coming on whom it is to come upon. John 3:36 “ and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him." Rom. 1:18 “For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men” Eph. 5:6-7 “ the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience. Therefore do not be partakers with them.” Rom. 2:5-7 you are treasuring up for yourself wrath in the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God, who "will render to each one according to his deeds" Once the Day of the Lord commences there is no turning back, it is the outpouring of God's wrath (Zeph. 1:14-15), the Bible associates the Tribulation with the outpouring of God's wrath. Rev. 6:17 “ For the great day of His wrath has come, and who is able to stand?" The Day of the Lord begins they believe they have entered a time of 'Peace and safety". The golden age of peace and harmony mankind has dreamed of they will think has come, instead they will experience the opposite, their worst nightmare. The Day of the Lord comes upon them with sudden destruction and catch them totally unprepared. Revelation 6 begins this time and it lasts until Rev. 19 there will be no peace and safety for anyone until the Second Coming of Christ. God’s wrath is against wickedness, evil, Satan has wrath too, but his is directed toward the elect, saints “For the devil has come down to you, having great wrath, because he knows that he has a short time." (Rev 12:12) No one living on the earth can escape the effects of the Tribulation. It will fall upon allearth-dwellers. Luke also states there is a possibility to prevail “to escape all these things that shall come to pass(v. 36). This is not possible if one is onthe earth. Hence, to escape all these things, one must be off the earth. Second: that the believer might stand before the Son of man in Heaven. This will be the result of the Rapture/ resurrection: we stand before the Son of manand by standing before Him, we escape all these things. Both of these things can only be accomplished by the Rapture/ resurrection the fay of the believers transformation., and that is why we are to watch to be saved. Rev 15:1-2 the seven last plagues, for in them the wrath of God is complete. God sends a strong delusion to those who reject the truth. All the world is united in the delusion, and will be under the counterfeit Christ figure. The Word also warns that “God will send them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie” (v. 11), because “they refused the love of the truth that would have saved them” and “have disbelieved the truth and delighted in wickedness” (vs. 10, 12). The truth is Jesus is God’s only begotten. It is at the end of the Tribulation Christ Jesus comes in his father’s glory and power. When He does, He sends forth His angels to gather from the four winds, from one end of the earth to the other, to gather all of His people, they are the Tribulation saints. Those who turned to the Lord during the Tribulation, who did not take the mark and survived the judgments of the Tribulation period. The “abomination of desolation,” according to verse 15, will be set up in the middle of the Tribulation in the 3 rd temple that will be built. As we learn in Revelation, chapter 13. Matthew 24:15-28 is a description of the second half of the Tribulation. In verses 29-31 we see that, at the conclusion of the Tribulation, there will be a total blackout of the heavenly bodies. Then will appear the sign of the Son of man coming in heaven. At that time He will also gather up His elect from the four corners of the earth. When He thus comes, He takes the worlds situation in hand and establishes His world-wide reign of righteousness. Matt 24:3 the disciples came to Him privately, saying, "Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of Your coming , and of the end of the age? Matt 24:42-44 Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming . 43 But know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into. 44 Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect. If we calculate on the feast days then we expect him, Jesus says you can’t Matt 25:13"Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming . Everyone sees him at his return to earth for the 100 year reign from Jerusalem not at his coming for the saints. Matt 26:64 I say to you, hereafter you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Power, and coming on the clouds of heaven." 1 Thess 4:17Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. Rev 2:21-23 And I gave her time to repent of her sexual immorality, and she did not repent. 22 Indeed I will cast her into a sickbed, and those who commit adultery with her into great tribulation, unless they repent of their deeds.” So one who not repentant will go through the tribulation Matt 24:15 "Therefore when you see the 'abomination of desolation,' spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place" (whoever reads, let him understand), This is the mid point of the Tribulation some call it the “great tribulation” Rev 6:10-11 And they cried with a loud voice, saying, "How long, O Lord, holy and true, until You judge and avenge our blood on those who dwell on the earth?" Then a white robe was given to each of them; and it was said to them that they should rest a little while longer, until both the number of their fellow servants and their brethren, who would be killed as they were, was completed. The Saints are being killed all through the tribulation Matt 24:21-22 For then there will be great tribulation , such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be. And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect's sake those days will be shortened. The chronological order of the events that occur during the Tribulation is set forth, in symbolic form, in Revelation, chapters 6, 8, 9, and 16. These strokes of judgment increase in their intensity and destructiveness as the period advances. His appearance upon earth in glory establishes His world-wide kingdom. Rev 19:8-16 After the marriage of the Lamb takes place in heaven , 8 And to her it was granted to be arrayed in fine linen, clean and bright, for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints . 9 Then he said to me, "Write: 'Blessed are those who are called to the marriage supper of the Lamb!' " And he said to me, "These are the true sayings of God." 10 And I fell at his feet to worship him. But he said to me, "See that you do not do that! I am your fellow servant, and of your brethren who have the testimony of Jesus. Worship God! For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy." Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war. His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns. He had a name written that no one knew except Himself. He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God. And the armies in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, followed Him on white horses. 15 Now out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it He should strike the nations. And He Himself will rule them with a rod of iron. He Himself treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. Rom 8:34-37 who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation , or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written: "For Your sake we are killed all day long; We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter." Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. Consider this Are we protected through the tribulation as some say? The bible says otherwise. “For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be” ( Matthew 24:21) In other words it will be worse than Noah’s day (though some points will have similarity), it will be something that we have never seen in history. It will be unique and we are told it will not be lengthened or no flesh would survive. All the apostles except one gave their lives in the beginning why should we think it would be any different in the end? Do you think that Christians will not be affected by these events living on earth? They do today, so why would it be any different then, when it is far worse everywhere? "the day of the LORD" (Joel 2..1-2), "the time of Jacob's trouble" (jer. 30:7), and "the great tribulation (Mt. 24:21 Jesus refers to Dan. 12:1). In light of this, and the fact that there can be only one unparalleled time of trouble, it can be concluded that the future Day of the Lord will include the same time period as the time of Jacob's trouble and the Great Tribulation. Joel 2: 10The earth quakes before them, The heavens tremble; The sun and moon grow dark, And the stars diminish their brightness.” Israel's future repentance and return to God are associated with "the day of the LORD" (Zech. 14:13; 12:2-3, 9-14; 13:1-2), "the time of Jacob's trouble" (jer. 30:7-9, 22), and the latter-day "tribulation" (Dt. 4:2730; 30:1-2). the Day of the Lord will include the Second Coming of Christ Joel 3..9-17; Zech. 12, 14.1-9) which ends the great Tribulation. After discussing the Great Tribulation, Jesus said, except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved, but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened " (Mt. 24:22). Joel 3:1-16 and Zechariah 14:1-3, 12-15 refer to a Day of the Lord that will involve God's judgement of the armies of all the nations of the world, when those armies are gathered in Israel to wage war against that nation and the city of Jerusalem and when the Messiah will come to war against them. According to Revelation 16.12-16, those armies will not begin to gather until the sixth vial or bowl is poured out Rev 14:19-20 19 So the angel thrust his sickle into the earth and gathered the vine of the earth, and threw it into the great winepress of the wrath of God . 20 And the winepress was trampled outside the city, and blood came out of the winepress, up to the horses' bridles, for one thousand six hundred furlongs. This is describing armageddon which takes place in the end of the tribulation Rev 15:1-2 Then I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvelous: seven angels having the seven last plagues, for in them the wrath of God is complete . The wrath of god starts with the tribulation and continues throughout it. Zechariah speaks of the Lord's retribution upon the nations as a time when "the LORD will defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem . . . in that day that I will set about to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem." (Zech. 12:8-9) Once again the focus is upon Israel, in this case Jerusalem, not the church. The Wrath of God is NOT to be poured out on His Church. 1 Thessalonians 1:10 And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, [even] Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come . Rev 15:7-8 Then one of the four living creatures gave to the seven angels seven golden bowls full of the wrath of God who lives forever and ever. The temple was filled with smoke from the glory of God and from His power, and no one was able to enter the temple till the seven plagues of the seven angels were complete Rev 16:1-2 1 Then I heard a loud voice from the temple saying to the seven angels, "Go and pour out the bowls of the wrath of God on the earth." So the first went and poured out his bowl upon the earth, and a foul and loathsome sore came upon the men who had the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image. Clearly we are not in the millennium but the church age that began at Pentecost and is continually extending until the tribulation commences. It will end abruptly Israel is in blindness that will slowly change through the tribulation and will all change at the end of the 7 year tribulation in a few days There is prophesied to be a covenant made between the Antichrist and Israel. Which presupposes a Jewish State must exist before such a covenant is signed. There is also the mention of a temple for the Tribulation that he will go in and declare himself God to the world. The tribulation is for Israel to repent and the world to be judged If the antichrist is here and to appear that means the Tribulation is coming. The application of distress or tribulationis attached to "the day of the LORD" (Zeph. 1:14-17), "the time of Jacob's trouble" (Jer. 30:7), and the Great Tribulation (Dan. 12:1) Jesus' Great Tribulation statements found in Mt. 24:21 and 29 reference Dan. 12:11. The Old Testament passages use the same Hebrew word for distress (translated "trouble" in the Jer. 30 and Dan. 12 passages). There are certain purposes for the great tribulation To make an end to wickedness and the wicked ones (Isa.13:9 Isa.24:19-20.) Jer.30:4-7 time of Jacob’s troubles relates to the Jewish people and nation. Isa.40:1-2 God’s policy is that Israel always receives double for her sins, so another purpose of the tribulation is to break the stubborn will of the Jewish nation that they recognize, turn to their Messiah, Yeshua. During the first half of the tribulation, God will evangelise bring about a worldwide revival by certain Jews taken from each tribe Revelation 7:1-17. This period unlike any other in mankind’s history begins with the signing of the seven-year covenant and ends with the second coming of Christ (seven years). The church Our focus is always to be Christ, not antichrist, but so many want to know who he is? There are those that expect to be present throughout this period of unusual extreme judgment. Does God allow the church to enter into the period of judgment upon the world with no protection? Despite what some claim that we are protected throughout the tribulation, the Bible says the saints are being killed off right and left. Nowhere does it say God protects them all. In fact it says the opposite. So many millions have died from persecution throughout history, from sinful men, this is normal history. Were they prepared to die? Some were. The tribulation period is the wrath of God against sinful man. The whole tribulation has Israel as its focus as if with a magnifying glass. Where are the last 2 prophets sent? To Jerusalem. Now when they finish their testimony, the beast that ascends out of the bottomless pit will make war against them, overcome them, and kill them.” The 2 witnesses are killed.Rev 11:7, after Rev 13:6-8 It was granted to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them. And authority was given him over every tribe, tongue, and nation. All who believe and live by the gospel are immune to the antichrists deception because their names are written in the lambs book of life, only those not written in the lambs book are deceived. Rev 13:8 All who dwell on the earth will worship him, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world .
Rev 17:8 "The beast that you saw was, and is not, and will ascend out of
the bottomless pit and go to perdition. And those who dwell on the earth
will marvel, whose names are not written in the Book of Life from the
foundation of the world, when they see the beast that was, and is not, and
yet is. So there are those who are not deceived by the false Christ in the Tribulation, only those who reject the gospel will be (II Thess. 2:9-12) If the whole church is coming back with him from heaven as Rev.19 teaches then they were there before the tribulation ends. How does Jesus rescue Israel destroy all his enemies gathered and rapture the church at the same time. God is a God of order. A promise from Jesus for the Church age is that the devil (gates of hell) will not overcome the Church. So those overcomers are not the church but the tribulation saints. The post trib view is self defeating, in that He comes back to raise the saints for the bible says he comes back with all the saints of the church. The Tribulation commences Consider this, Are we protected through the tribulation as some say? The Bible says otherwise. All the apostles except one gave their lives in the beginning why should we think it would be any different in the end? Do you think that Christians will not be affected by these events? They do today, so why would it be any different. Over centuries Christians have been killed by earthquakes, virus’, just like anyone else. 1 Thess 5:3-4 For when they say, "Peace and safety!" then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape. it comes upon them not us. What comes upon them is Gods wrath. Rev. 8:10-9:1 “ Then the third angel sounded: And a great star fell from heaven, burning like a torch, and it fell on a third of the rivers and on the springs of water. 11 The name of the star is Wormwood. A third of the waters became wormwood, and many men died from the water, because it was made bitter. v.12 “ Then the fourth angel sounded: And a third of the sun was struck, a third of the moon, and a third of the stars, so that a third of them were darkened. A third of the day did not shine, and likewise the night . And I looked, and I heard an angel flying through the midst of heaven, saying with a loud voice, "Woe, woe, woe to the inhabitants of the earth, because of the remaining blasts of the trumpet of the three angels who are about to sound!" Rev 6:12 I looked when He opened the sixth seal, and behold, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became like blood .” Isa 13:9-10 Behold, the day of the LORD comes, Cruel, with both wrath and fierce anger,To lay the land desolate; And He will destroy its sinners from it. For the stars of heaven and their constellations Will not give their light; The sun will be darkened in its going forth, And the moon will not cause its light to shine. Isa 13:12 I will make a mortal more rare than fine gold, A man more than the golden wedge of Ophir. “ This is what Jesus meant when he said “And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; Matt 24:22 Isa. 24:20-23 The earth shall reel to and fro like a drunkard, and shall totter like a hut; its transgression shall be heavy upon it, and it will fall, and not rise again. It shall come to pass in that day that the LORD will punish on high the host of exalted ones, and on the earth the kings of the earth. They will be gathered together, as prisoners are gathered in the pit, and will be shut up in the prison; after many days they will be punished. Then the moon will be disgraced and the sun ashamed; for the LORD of hosts will reign on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem and before His elders, gloriously. Jer. 10:10 But the LORD is the true God; He is the living God and the everlasting King. At His wrath the earth will tremble, And the nations will not be able to endure His indignation. Zeph. 1:15-17 That day is a day of wrath , A day of trouble and distress,A day of devastation and desolation, A day of darkness and gloominess,A day of clouds and thick darkness, A day of trumpet and alarm Against the fortified cities And against the high towers. "I will bring distress upon men,” Joel 2:31 The sun shall be turned into darkness, And the moon into blood,Before the coming of the great and awesome day of the LORD.” Joel 3:15-16 The sun and moon will grow dark, and the stars will diminish their brightness. The LORD also will roar from Zion, and utter His voice from Jerusalem; the heavens and earth will shake; but the LORD will be a shelter for His people, and the strength of the children of Israel.” Matt. 24:29 " Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. Secularists, humanists want a utopia without God after all we can’t agree on which one. Ps.2 the kings of the earth resent the messiah and Jerusalem as significant. The Muslim coalition of nations the UN which gathers all nations they all oppose Israel and yet there are those who say Israel has nothing to do with the end times? Isa 60:19-20 The sun shall no longer be your light by day, Nor for brightness shall the moon give light to you; But the LORD will be to you an everlasting light, And your God your glory. Your sun shall no longer go down, Nor shall your moon withdraw itself; For the LORD will be your everlasting light, And the days of your mourning shall be ended.” |
