p.4 New age futurism - being co-creators with God Before we hear the numerous quotes of Mike Adams, I want to begin by saying I have never, in doing ministry for over 35 years, seen someone so wrong on so many topics. There is only a small portion of Scripture that is interpreted or spoken correctly, and it certainly is not on the essentials of the faith. The majority of his teaching departs from the plain and literal understanding on the Word written to us and he uses metaphysics. We begin with“God is the Creator, but we are many creators working with Him to create the future that we choose to live in.”(001 Ephesians 6.11 and the Armor of God at the MOLECULAR level) Who are these others that create the future; we are! This is part of the theme of his message. “You have the power of God working through you. And I'm not saying that you are God, obviously, I'm not saying you have the same power, it's not even close. You have a little sliver of power. But you do have the power of co-creation with God . And you can shape your future. You can shape the cosmos around your intention . And yet most people go through life today, having no clue that that's the case. And so the Bible can either enslave you, or it can set you free, depending on how much you understand” (100 James Ch 2 - God and Jesus teach us to free ourselves from the SELF-MADE PRISON inside the SIMULATION that is your life) Apparently Adams' understanding goes far beyond the words of Scripture … While he says you are not God, he is basically attributing to humanity abilities that only God can do. In fact, the metaphysical worldview he is teaching is the basis of his teaching, is not found in Scripture. His understanding his formed by scientific theories and other spiritual teachings. “You exist also outside of time, not only outside of space and physical matter, you exist outside of time. Your consciousness already exists through all time. All the branches that are possible have already been laid out, and you can actually travel through those branches through your consciousness , which is something that we'll talk about later on. And it's all aligned with God, by the way .” (096 - How to make your PRAYERS incredibly powerful: Morphic resonance, premonition, time forks and God) He says these concepts as if the Bible is teaching this, when he is using a metaphysical explanation for his view of life (not the Bible). This is classified as mysticism and it sounds dangerously close to some type of new age higher consciousness; spirit travel. From Enkankar, the science of the soul, we learn that “we are living in eternity, here and now. We are all experiencing the reality of God, at this moment, not in the future, nor in the past, but now.” Which is seen by Adam’s various claims, “Your mind or your consciousness, it branches out across the entire cosmos. You are connected to everything in the cosmos. You are, in essence, one with everything in the cosmos .” (100 James Ch 2 - God and Jesus teach us to free ourselves from the SELF-MADE PRISON inside the SIMULATION that is your life) The connection to all by consciousness is found in the New Age worldview, called Pantheism, “all is One.” Enkankar teaches, “It is in the soul that all consciousness resides.” And, the “soul has, running through all the countless ages of its existence on every plane in the universes.” Adams is teaching a ‘Spirituality’ that is foreign to the Bible which challenges the core of Christianity. It should not be mistaken for Christianity! Willis Harman who is a futurist associated the human potential movement of the New Age writes,“Increased emphasis on theconnectedness of everything to everything–not only the ‘things of the outer world, but also our inner, subjective experience.”…“we are indeed co-creators of that world and that ultimate cause is to be sought not in the physical, but in mind, or consciousness .” (Willis Harman The new edition of Harman’s book included a section subtitled “The Worldview Challenge.” Harman described this futurist worldview which is posted on herescope.net) Adams says:“God gives us a little tiny piece of his consciousness and that becomes our consciousness. And that's why we are children of God. And that's why we have God-like powers within us”(064 - After planetary WIPEout.) “God created the universe, but he also gave you the ability to create a multiverse . In other words, to create, to spawn off a variation of the cosmos within the framework of what God created. In other words, you can create variations. He gave you that power, and you create those variations by choice, by consciousness, the application of free will, and making decisions and taking action.” (100 James Ch 2 - God and Jesus teach us to free ourselves from the SELF-MADE PRISON inside the SIMULATION that is your life) First we need to understand the Bible does not teach that we are all children of God (we are creations of God). One must be ‘in Christ’ to be adopted (Jn.1:12.) It is positional, it is not about consciousness. This multi-verse theory is based on mysticism, metaphysics and is straight out of the new age teaching. We have natural talents, we are made in his image and likeness but we do not have inherent supernatural powers or abilities like he describes. Enkankar for example teaches “the individual consciousness … that part of him which is the true awareness of the divine power within himself … God is that consciousness working in all beings. ” Adams referring to Higgs boson discovery states things are, “brought into existence solely because so many conscious beings were focused on bringing into reality what they imagined to be real the nature of things in a conscious universe: As we were created in his image, we each possess a fraction of the power of God—a slice of omniscient conscious godliness.” (Adams, divinity now) Adams is promoting a multiverse theory from scientists, the same ones who believe evolution, who rejecta creator as the cause of all creation. Adams says,“I believe that in other higher dimensions, cause and effect are much closer together.” “every time you make a choice, you choose a path among one of an infinite number of multiverses. In other words, the future exists in every possibility.”(Mike Adams 099-gods multiverse and how to be the architect of the future you want.) There is a theme running through his teaching- ‘YOU,’ (having control by consciousness). Does our future already exist and we choose which one, or, do we live in reality, not a simulation as he teaches? What does the Bible teach? Is God’s prophecy in Scripture telling us about a possible future, one that is actually left up to us? This is also how Adams understands prophecy, as he applies his metaphysical interpretation. The multiverse theory is incorporated with mysticism. This, at one time, was comic book theology that has been transferred to quantum physics, imagining parallel dimensions, mirroring our world with a multitude of possibilities. What was considered mysticism is now merging with scientific theories. (An article worth reading on quantum physics.) Adams speaks of, "rules of this current matrix. You can't alter time. So as the flow of time pushes you into your future” … You have chosen a different future, an imminent future, a future arriving in just a few seconds, but you have chosen a future that is powerfully outside the realm of normally accepted possibilities.” (Mike Adams 099-gods multiverse) Can we manipulate reality? Do we form our own future? Is this what God instructs us to do? Or does God have a plan for our lives to serve him, and he develops it as we submit and allow him to lead us into his perfect will in Christ? “your future becomes the present. The possibilities become the now.” “all of your futures already exist. … as superpositioned possibilities of things that you might choose to do. But as your consciousness is moving forward in the flow of time, that is a set rule in this simulation, by the way, you can't alter the flow of time. (099 gods multi verse) The New Age has numerous similar teachings, such as we (humanity) are literal fragments of the consciousness of the Supreme being. “you've been given some portion of that same consciousness, imagine what you're capable of” (096 Adams). “to imagine the future you want for yourself? Sort of life planning, …if you do that exercise and you describe the life that you wish to experience, the more detail in which you describe it, the more real it makes it in your mind, the more it begins to light up that pathway to get to that future.” (099 -gods-multiverse.) This spiritual exercise is defined as Mind Science by many.Timelines are accessed by an open consciousness (enlightenment). Much like the Parallel Universes from string theory that Adams proposes having other prophets, other Jesus. Holding the possibility, “that there are other sons of God who did the same thing? That they were brothers of Jesus and they were sent to teach and to uplift other civilizations” (Adams 097-Mark Ch 9 ) New Age Jesus: “He taught them what the end of mortal life will be, when man has reached the consciousness that he and God are one.” (The Aquarian gospel of Jesus Christ Levi) Eastern (metaphysical) religions teach that Jesus was only one of many sons, other masters attained the same "Christ consciousness,” as taught by the new age ascended masters (which Adams postulates as truth.) These concepts are veiled behind his jargon of speech. Yet he says “that we are beings of light. We are beings of light that are living in a, you know, an artificial simulation, which consists of the illusion of matter that is nothing but standing waves of light, you could say. It's sort of like frozen light appearing as matter. And we're made of that stuff. We're made of those elements of carbon and, you know, hydrogen and oxygen and so on.”(100 James Ch 2 - God and Jesus teach us to free ourselves from the SELF-MADE PRISON inside the SIMULATION that is your life) underline mine The only beings of light the bible mentions are the devil and his apostles that transform themselves to look like they are teachers of righteousness (2 Cor. 11:14-15). As in other eastern religions, Enkankar teaches of a veil of illusion similar to Hinduism. That we live in a living in an illusionary world (a simulation.) Found also in the Zen Buddhism’s unsolvable riddle (koan) “…all that we hold as real is nothing more than the playful dance of light, light that has no dimension and limitless dimension.” The Quantum model of reality/ Quantum Physics, speculates that all that we hold as real is nothing more than the playful dance of light, light that has no dimension and limitless dimension. Giving the example of protons, “can coexist in multiple states simultaneously, and you can call it a wave function that then collapses at the moment that it is observed. It collapses into, quote, reality. But before it is observed, it coexists in multiple states simultaneously.… that all of your futures already exist.”“… y ou begin to observe and to collapse wave functions and to make them real. And so your future becomes the present. The possibilities become the now.” “the power of creation is really the power of choosing one of the paths that determines your future…. you have blazed a new path for your future. All of the other paths still exist in the future ” (099-gods multiverse and how to be the architect of the future you want.) Again, the we find similarities to the New Age teaching in Enkankar, “Enlightenment The awakened state. Becoming aware of God. The breakthrough to the states of no time or space.” “We can simply be aware that we are aware by observing ourselves thinking about what we're thinking about.”Which he says is “the very essence of meditation.” (Divinity Now: Dealing with the loss of loved ones; and the immortality of the soul) “And this really comes down to high level physics where there's actually no separation between the observer and the phenomenon that is observed. And yeah, we can get into quantum physics conversations and Heisenberg's uncertainty principle and Schrodinger's cat, the superposition of multiple states and so on. But the simple version of this is that you co-create the universe by observing it. Your interaction with reality shapes it . And you're shaping it mostly unconsciously. Prayer is simply choosing to shape it consciously.” (096 - How to make your PRAYERS incredibly powerful: Morphic resonance, premonition, time forks and God) Adams teaches“in co-creating your future. And you can day by day, nudge yourself towards a future that you want to create. You can make it real ” (Adams 096). How? According to him life is supposed to be a simulation; not reality. The real is in heaven only. So his own philosophical /theological/ metaphysical construct has internal contradictions. Or, he could be speaking from another timeline. Because “ Morphic Residence exists across past, present, and future,” you may hear the voice of an angel warning you, telling you about something “that voice is your future self. So is you in the future sending a warning to your past self to avoid something or to be nudged in a certain direction? You literally have the ability to send knowledge to yourself in the past from the present because of morphic resonance.”(096 How to make your prayers more powerful) He not teaching the bible, he is describing Quantum superposition, a fundamental principle of questionable quantum mechanics; merged with the bible makes it even more confusing. Sounds like he’s got it all figured out, that he’s gained the ‘philosophers stone.’ Our future self that exists sends messages to us who are located in the past to change our decision? All this makes for a good sci-fi series. The bible teaches us that God exists outside of time, and does not have different existing futures that we can choose from like a spiritual supermarket. “you do have the power of co-creation with God. And you can shape your future” “you have this power of co-creation, you can choose your future, you are actually the architect of your future” (0100.) underline mine Adams says past, present and future all exist at the same time, there are multiple futures. This adversely affects his view on prophecy, For God has told us the future and there is nothing that can change it. Speaking of the miracles Jesus’ performed, outside what we think is possible“But understand that when you pray for a particular outcome in the future, you are not bending the future. You are bending yourself into that future .”(Mike Adams 099-gods multiverse) I see; so that person or thing you are praying for (you) to have a change is changed and you become aware of that? This is not Bible teaching but spiritual mumbo jumbo. We find every new age book and teacher has these same elements in their teachings. Adams may not be quoting specific words from people, but he has adopted their principles and concepts, espousing their hypotheses by synthesizing these ideas with the Bible. p.5 Mike Adams' definition and application of prayer
