p.5 Mike Adams' definition and application of prayer

The Bible has prayer mentioned throughout its pages, explaining what it is and how and why it is done. We are taught why God answers our requests. Mike Adams has a very different characterization. This becomes very complicated, involving energies, images, metaphysics and consciousness. Sorting this out can be difficult, so I will try to make this as simple and direct as possible.

Adams says, “Oh, Bibles. Yes, Bibles. So the printed word of God also has power. And a Bible that's yours, that you have read from, that you have studied with, that you have carried with you, that Bible becomes your Bible and it becomes charged actually with your prayers as well. So the thing about prayer is it charges all physical material around it at some level . He uses water as an example of holding a charge,“But other materials also accept charges. Or you could say, know, vibrations of prayer, vibrations of Christ, vibrations of healing . And this is why when people have had objects, they've owned them for many, many years. Well, those objects, are in a way energetically tied to the person….” (076 - Psalm 91 - God's protection vs satanism, demonic temptation, infestation and possession.)

Here he presents a metaphysical teaching of energy, from us affecting the material world, which he teaches is a simulation (an illusion). I’m picking up not-so-good vibrations from this. The printed word's power comes from the one who inspired it and has it work to make it a reality in ones life as the obey it. The Spirit who is God is not absorbed, nor permeating all things (pantheism) as the New Age teaches.

Adams believes an energy from us affects objects.“And this is evident if you've ever lost someone close to you, but you've kept their watch, let's say, or you've kept their necklace, or you've kept their Bible. Why did you do that? Well, it's because there's something special. It's tied to that person, and you can feel it. You can sense it. You pick up that watch, like this was the watch of my ex-husband or my father or whatever. Your family members, your ancestors may have given you other things … hold onto that because it is a connection at some level. It is a connection with those people.” Well aware of where he is venturing into, he then says, “And it's not new agey, and it's not occult, it's not weird. It's perfectly natural. This is God's universe. This is the way it works .” (076 - Psalm 91 - God's protection vs satanism, demonic temptation, infestation and possession)

I don’t think you can find a better example of New Age metaphysical thinking than what he is teaching. We keep objects for memories, not for the energy they absorb.

He recommends inanimate objects like a talisman, explaining a cross’ power. “…To buy a silver cross and to have a silver necklace, a silver chain. Now a gold cross, you know, can be very expensive … silver crosses are pretty cheap. … the silver cross is a symbol of Christ. And when you hold the cross, or if you're wearing the cross, you could even wear it at night for protection . You could have it by your bed. You could wear it during the day. You don't even have to show it to others. … that's something that's physical that is also powerful. Now, holy water is water that is blessed with prayers. Prayers of Jesus. Now, colloidal silver is water that is infused with positively charged silver ions.” (076 - Psalm 91 - God's protection vs satanism, demonic temptation, infestation and possession

The " Big Bang, I think, more accurately as the big breath. It's like the breath of God, the breath of life, is breathed into the universe (097). While he recognizes the spirit of man is what makes our body alive, He defines in the Bible, "breath and spirit are used interchangeably." In application, "That an orange is also blessed with the spirit and the breath of God."The breath of God extends to the entire ecosystem of plants."Citing Genesis,"the breath of God, the spirit of God, must include carbon dioxide" (05 Job 3410- gods breathe of life and satans war against carbon.)

“He gives to all life, breath" (Acts 17:25), but this does not mean he is that breath in all things. Clearly, Adams has his own private interpretation, interpreting the Lord's Spirit and breath is expressed in the world by molecules and is also within all that breathes. The bible teaches the Holy Spirit only indwells all who believe in the gospel, the new covenant that Jesus made.

These explanations of his have more to do with quantum physics than the Bible. Other false spiritual books similarly teach,     
 “spirit consciousness; it sleeps in every soul, and cannot be awakened till the Holy Breath becomes a welcome guest ” (The Aquarian gospel of Jesus Christ by Levi.)    

Adams does admit, “Different interpretations, same vision. And that's a core message that I'm hoping to get everybody to understand . Even though we're teaching from the Bible, the words in the Bible are consistent with the words from other writings and other prophets and other wise men or wise people across the planet. Maybe other sons of God , by the way.”

“It's all the same thing, folks. It's all the same thing. It's sometimes a little bit different description. But if you get hung up on the little facts…” (102 - God issued his END TIMES warning)

His amalgamation of religious/spiritual teachings are like how the Masons conduct their interfaith religion, or as what is found in the mysticism of the Kabbalah, or the channeled Urantia book, the Aquarian gospel of Jesus Christ, the Course in Miracles, and so many other metaphysical books that reinterpret God’s word by other ways, from different spirits. He even says, “that's why I'm bringing in other cultures and other mythos, other religions . And I intend to teach from many different books. He says of the Quran, “….all these books teach the same thing, the exact same thing.”(102 - God issued his END TIMES warning) underline mine.

Yes, these conglomeration of books, teachings and practices are all the same thing . However the Bible is NOT! These are teaching the opposite of the Bible, regardless of a few similarities.

We learn that the goal of any new age activist is to redefine Biblical concepts. As Occultist Alice Bailey said, “…The church as a teaching factor should take the great basic doctrines and (shattering the old forms in which they are expressed and held).”

The New Age, the Aquarian conspiracy has every intention of changing the fundamentals to the church, by introducing a new interpretation.

“through prayer in order to ask for things or to even in essence command the universe to answer your prayers … I think God already gave you the power and all you need to do is simply ask the universe for what you want to happen.” (096 - How to make your PRAYERS incredibly powerful)

Adams says “if you're focused all the time on the suffering of the world and the wars, … the genocide and the bombing of children and all that, it's hard to actually have a calm presence of mind to issue a prayer to the universe ” (096 – ibid.)

Is that who we pray to, the universe? Or do we pray to a personal God who created the universe and has oversight of all the universe. It is God who will decide when or if he will answer our request. Adams' prayers are more like an affirmation practiced in the New Age.

On Praying

He defines the application of prayer as“you have the ability to choose unlikely futures. And there are different names given to this ability. In a Christian tradition, it's called prayer. In a Buddhist tradition, it might be called meditation. In more of an occult tradition, it might be called magic. Seriously, you know, don't get emotionally involved in the words because we're simply talking about the same phenomenon here, just expressed in different ways. Now, prayer is this idea that through your voice and through your intention, that you could alter the outcomes of something in the world around you.’ (099-gods multiverse and how to be the architect of the future you want

Don’t let the different descriptions of words trip you up; because according to him it’s all the same. Adams reinterprets the meanings to be all the same. But they are not the same. Christian Prayer is to a personal God who decides when and how (and if) to answer. It’s not our will, but our intention in our requests is that “Your Will be done on earth as it is done in heaven.” The power is not in our words, thoughts, or anything we do; it is in God, who alone answers by a ‘yes’ or ‘no,’ or, wait. To ask according his will to be done, we must first know what will is from ‘the Word’, not from ourselves.

He speaks on how to bring changes, “to imagine the future you want for yourself? Sort of life planning, …if you do that exercise and you describe the life that you wish to experience, the more detail in which you describe it, the more real it makes it in your mind, the more it begins to light up that pathway to get to that future. ”

That is what is defined as Mind science, explaining how this it is to be done, “prayer through the spoken word, prayer through artistic expression, drawing something, sculpting something, painting something," He uses the example of writing songs, “God expressed through you to create that future as your reality ."(099 -gods-multiverse-and-how-to-be-the-architect-of-the-future-you-want)

He explains, “We can alter the lines of code that algorithmically express this simulation. Free energy, for example, mind over matter, premonition, so-called psychic phenomena, which are supernatural, but also completely natural, because they're consistent with the laws of the universe that God created. Your mind is a broadcast instrument and a receiver of knowledge and information. We've talked about morphic resonance. We've talked about so-called cloud consciousness.” (100 James Ch 2 - God and Jesus teach us to free ourselves from the SELF-MADE PRISON inside the SIMULATION that is your life)

I quote again from Enkankar that teaches, “the psychic plane where we build our future by daily mental concepts.”

He is teaching on being a co-creator like God, except you decide, you make the reality you want to manifest. He says,“your conscious mind is both a transmitter and receiver of information. Your mind,” Explaining, “Morphic Resonance is this shared library of knowledge. that you can tap into.” (described much like the New Age movements akashic records located in the ether.)

That we have,“exchanges information with other conscious minds through something called Morphic Resonance…”Adams speaks of Morphic Residence which,“when you pray, you broadcast out into this field, and you actually affect other people's consciousness at the same time that you're affecting the physical world around you as well .”(096 - How to make your PRAYERS more powerful) underline mine

And that is how one can change and make realities. So prayer is not speaking to a personal God, who decides when and how and if to answer. The power is IN YOU.

“Prayer, in other words, as described in the Christian tradition, doesn't have to be limited to the spoken word,..to reading other people's prayers. You can read psalms out of the Bible.… You should be writing your own psalms, your own poetry, your own future is being engineered by your consciousness because you are choosing different paths that then define the future that you're asking for.” (099 God gave you the gift of life, consciousness, free will, and the power of co-creation)

This consciousness in each of us affects the world (the simulation). So we form the future we want, and God obeys us.

The Secret way

As a child of God, “you also have the ability to create and to alter the world around you in actually quite powerful ways. Prayer is one of the methods by which this happens. Most people think of prayer as speaking words…. I'm going to show you how to make your prayers more effective. And let me start that by saying that most people's prayers are not nearly as effective as they could be because they are diffused. “Instead through prayer, you shift into being a co-creator. And now you're saying, let's determine this outcome. Let's shape it. Let's actually imagine it in advance. Let's draw it. And then we can help create the results that we get. The most powerful people in this world, they know this great spiritual secret, the secret of co-creation that you can create or at least strongly influence your future . And you can create a future that you did not even think could possibly exist”(096 - How to make your PRAYERS incredibly powerful: Morphic resonance, premonition, time forks and God)

I must pause and ask where does God instruct us to communicate to him this way? If your praying to the universe (creation) I suspect it does not matter, as idolatry will produce more idolatry.

“… most people pray using words. But did you know that you can also pray through artwork? You can draw something, you can draw what you want… on a piece of paper. You're drawing the outcome that you're asking … you are in essence bending the laws of the universe to create that reality. Just as certainly as if you had spoken it. In fact, in my experience, it's more powerful. So this is my secret. When I pray for things, I draw them . And sometimes it's an actual illustration or a picture or representation of what I'm asking for. Other times it might be like a flow chart or a diagram,… I drew it on paper… And it became very real in my mind . I knew what the building was going to look like, and I could image it, and I could even mentally walk through the building in my imagination.” Using an example,“and I found that anything that I draw in detail becomes real. “And the more detail I put into the drawing, the more quickly it becomes reality. The concept he is explaining is known as imaging.... It consists of forming a picture or an image you hold in your conscious mind, or draw, having a desired goal or objective. By holding that image or thought, it releases the energy...most know this today as visualization. Also called Idealization, which is a process of visualizing or imaging the plans which will eventually materialize in our objective world, which he calls a simulation. This actualization process is used in witchcraft, the occult, word faith teaching, and mind science cults.

This great ‘spiritual secret;’ the secret of co-creation is also called ‘the law of attraction,’ found in “the Secret.” Oprah promoted this, and it is certainly being expressed by Adams’ esoteric explanation. The foundation of the Secret's belief system is stated repeatedly in the book and DVD: "The Secret gives you anything you want.... You can have, do, or be anything you want. ... We can have whatever it is that we choose.” Rhonda Byrne describes “The Secret,” “ The law of attraction says like attracts like. ... The law of attraction is giving you what you are thinking about. It is working all the time.”

“ We create our own circumstances by the choices we make in life. And the choices we make are fueled by our thoughts—which meansour thoughts are the most powerful things we have here on earth .” (Oprah Show)

Dr. Janeen Detrick, an “Energy Medicine modalities” master (New Age doctor), explains how the “Law of Attraction” operates through New Age metaphysics. Speaking of “strings of energy that wobble and wave and vibrate in different patterns… whatever it was you were intending, manifests! THIS is how your reality manifests! THIS is how the Law of Attraction works! These strings of energy is how it can be said that “God is in everything and everyplace, all at the same time”, and that “We are all connected.” Underline mine

Enkankar speaks of “secret teachings, we must open the consciousness in order to receive them.”It can come by “certain books, not on open shelves, knowledge can come from the other worlds.”

Ernest Holmes, founder of the Church of Religious Science, wrote: Science of mind teaches that “Man controls the course of his life... by mental processes which function according to a Universal Law... that we are all creating our own day-to-day experiences... Man, by thinking, can bring into his experience whatsoever he desires.” “this Mind [God] cannot act without an image of thought [supplied by man] it is a cosmic Reality Principle which is present throughout the Universe and in every one of us.”

In the mind science cults, thought is a force - a manifestation of energy - having a magnet-like power of attraction. Holmes stated: “ We are co-partners with the Infinite in the management of our own affairs ... we are surrounded by a Universal Creative Mind which receives the impress of our thought and acts upon it.”

The power of thought that is being described is not praying. As with Adams, His Praying becomes more like mind over matter, what is taught in mind science, the new age and the occult, or in what is called 'the Secret.'

Just to reiterate what Adams has said, “when my mind made it real, it became reality in the real physical world,” He says by using these means “it becomes reality.” You“create that reality,”you“create that future as your reality.”The “more detail I put into the drawing, the more quickly it becomes reality.”

The major flaw that should be evident to those who are consciously listening and thinking this through is that he teaches this life is a simulation, not a reality. “As I've taught in my sermons, this cosmos is a simulation”(099) (found taught in these few sermons: 024; 057; 061; 064; 068 074; 077; 079; 089; 094; 096; 097; 099; 100;102; “the god within” and “Easter Sunday message 2025)

At best, he is confused by his own philosophy of the mechanics of life. At worst, he has no clue that he is contradicting himself, which becomes a dangerous precedent for those listening to his spiritual mixture.

Jesus did not teach secrets, “and in secret I have said nothing” (John 18:20.) Meaning, what he taught in private he said in public; and the Bible contains none of this. Jesus’ teachings were in plain words to be understood by the average person, religious or not.
