The many contradictions of a prophet. Branham believed we were theophanies created in heaven. “I think that the people today that are possessed with this Spirit, or the spirit, a part of these angelic beings, spirits which rotated off of God, that never fell in the beginning and resisted the devil's lie in heaven...And two thirds of the earth is in sin, and more than that, which two thirds of the angels was kicked out. And those demon spirits come into people and habitate their body. See what I mean? They're demons that once... They was once existed and they come into the people and give them a nature ” (Questions and Answers (Genesis), July 29, 1953 (tape #53-0729) he would contradict himself stating: “Angels are not spirits, angels are not souls. NO. You will have to believe in pre existence of souls. If you say we were souls, angels and spirits before, you are talking about pre-existence” (Church age book p. 154) that is what he taught. Without Branham they would not know the gospel‘the Gospel wasn’t made plain to them back there [throughout Church History], like it’s made plain to you today. See? You see it so plain. You done had all of those years and examples, the Seals opened, the church’s age laid out, and everything like that. It’s just so plain you can’t miss it. See? And then, if you fully reject it, there’s only one thing do, suffer for it.(Questions and Answers #3, 64-0830M) So without Branhasm no one would know the gospel even though its been written? Earths beginnings “If you'll notice God telling Moses about the Bible, He said, “In the beginning God created the heavens and earth (period).” How long it took, that's none of our business. Then He goes ahead and begins to bring in His time of putting seed in the earth. But in the beginning, might have been hundreds of billions of trillions of years, aeons of time, but God created the heavens and the earth, period” (62-0318, The Spoken Word Is The Original Seed, Branham Tabernacle, Jeffersonville, IN.) In the very least Branham gave a thousand or more years for each day in Genesis. “And six thousand years it took this Eden to come into existence, and we are taught in the Scripture, “For one day upon the earth is... or--or--or is a thousand years, with God; a thousand years upon the earth, is one day with God.” So it took six thousand years to make this earth, and to bring it into an Eden.” (65-1031M, Power Of Transformation, Pine Lawn Trailer Park, Prescott, AZ) But then he would speculate further… Man He proposed that man was a created a duality in spirit, both male and female. “And man in his spirit was both man and woman” (58-0928E, The Serpent's Seed, Branham Tabernacle). So he can’t be a son of God. If the spirit man Adam was made in Gods image and is androgynous than so is God, God is then both male and female. A transsexual? Hen he contraficts himself…“He made first the trees and the botany life, and He made man. And then the last thing that ever come from the earth in the form of creation was a man, nothing higher ever come. Because why? It was a perfect reflection of the highest in heaven, which, God is a Man. See? God is a Man; so therefore, it proves it. And when God came down to dwell among us, He was a Man. See? A Man, so it shows that the perfection of evolution was God, which is a Man.” (62-0909M, Countdown, Branham Tabernacle). God is a man, the Bible says he is not a man, man is a creature created by God. Jesus came and took on a human nature adding it to his nature of deity. There is no evolution Eve Don’t make the mistake the bible does saying that Eve was made on the same day as Adam, the 6 th day. “ Eve Was Created Years After Adam God had done quit creating for years and years and years, until He made the woman out of a rib out of his side” (58-0928E Serpent’s Seed). The Bible states she was made on the same day as Adam, the 6th day. Branham had his own wtong opinions, not bible teaching.
As far as life….“The baby that... When the act has taken place between
the—the egg and the sperm, or the gene... But when they... Potentially, the
baby’s there when the act is done. Then the body is developed, second stage;
but the baby has to be born here, and then it receives the breath of life.
It is not yet the breath of life. You say, “Oh, it’s alive.” No, it isn’t.
That’s little nerves jerking, muscles. See? The baby hasn’t received life
till it’s born. And you may jump and jerk, but you’re not... See, see? You
got to be born. You know what I mean? All right. So how does a baby grow? Children in Genesis “in the beginning, it was not God's perfect will for children to be born on the earth through sex. No, sir. God created man out of the dust of the earth, breathed the breath of life into him, and he become a living soul. He took from that man a helpmate, and made a wife to him. That was God's first and original will. But when sin come in and did the thing that it did, then He permitted man to marry a wife, legally, and have children by her. “Multiply and replenish the earth, then, if that's the way you're going to do it.” But, you see, it never was His perfect will.” (65-0418E, Does God Ever Change His Mind About His Word?, Branham Tabernacle). When he told eve In pain you shall bring forth children;Your desire shall be for your husband ,Gen 3:16 it did not mean what God said, but what Branham said! He had an ongoing animosity toward women and it showe in his many teachings. The world not being round Branham formerly said “you could see the entire earth as it's round. And higher you get the further you can see” (57-0324, Why Some People Can't Keep The Victory, Oakland Municipal Auditorium, Oakland, CA). Branham Was a Flat Earther “You can't get accuracy in science now.... that, “When the Bible said that 'he saw four Angels standing on the four corners of the earth,' that that couldn't be. The earth was round.” But the Bible said, “four corners.” Well, now you seen, two weeks ago, or three weeks ago, it's been now, the papers packing this article, they found out that the world is square. How many seen that? Why, sure. See? I got it all copied off, just waiting for somebody to say something” (65-0822M, Christ Is Revealed In His Own Word, Branham Tabernacle). The world is square? He was a flat earther.There you have it from the prophet’s mouth. Noahs day and enoch “And Noah had a sign to start on. When he seen Enoch was taken up, Enoch was taken up, then Noah--was time for Noah to start, for he knew that that would be the sign of his beginning and then the end would be near” (54-0718A, The Great Coming Revival And The Outpouring Of The Holy Spirit, Lane Tech High School, Chicago, IL) Branham taught this for years “And when Noah seen Enoch go, he knowed it was time to start on that ark. That's right. That was Noah's sign, when Enoch went home.” (60-1204M, The Revelation Of Jesus Christ, Branham Tabernacle). But enoch did not know noah and Noah did not know enoch they did not live at the same time. Noah and enoch did not live at the same time. Noah and the flood We read in Gen. 7:6 “Noah was six hundred years old when the floodwaters were on the earth.” This means Noah was 480 years old (-120 years) when he started the ark. Branham’s information certainly did not come from the Bible. It is the Book of Enoch that says that Enoch was present with Lamach when Noah was born and that Enoch named Noah (Enoch 107). Her read many other books he incorporate in his teachings. Jesus’ Baptism John said, “I saw that Pillar of Fire, Light coming down upon Him in the form of a dove, a Voice speaking from that Pillar of Light, saying, 'This is My Beloved Son in Whom I am pleased to dwell in.”(61-0425E, The Forgotten Beatitude, Stephen Mather High School, Chicago, IL). Her did not say this! The Bible says nothing about a pillar of fire, or a light at Jesus’ baptism, but Branham insisted “He talked to John, in the form of a dove, (you believe that?) that, “This is My beloved Son in Whom I'm pleased to dwell in” (65-0822M, Christ Is Revealed In His Own Word, Branham Tabernacle). The dove did not speak, the Father spoke from heaven. Branham taught the Holy Spirit was the Father, who came as the dove, so he confused what took place by the persons of the godhead. In fact if one listens to Branham and studies under him they will become even more confused than he was. Here’s a good example of his bible ignorance.
