Jesus said You Believe in God believe in me in Jn.14. Someone can GO FROM being an atheist to agnostic, and from agnostic to believing there is a God. Believing that God exists is not enough, even the demons have this belief and fear. Believing in a creator of all things is just one step away from being an agnostic. Its safe enough distance to not be required to have accountability still stopping you from being in a relationship to be corrected and guided. Theres no relationship to God without Christ being our mediator, Christianity is not just religion, it brings one into a relationship with the eternal creator of all things who is the way. It is the only religion that gives you The Way to have a relationship to the God who cares for you. All religions are guessing, assuming, hoping they are right. Mal 2:17 “You have wearied the LORD with your words;Yet you say,"In what way have we wearied Him?"In that you say,"Everyone who does evil Is good in the sight of the LORD,And He delights in them,"Or, "Where is the God of justice ?" God not only forgives but saves us. We must be cleansed first before we are restored. Gods standard is not how good we can be, the standard is Jesus. To the very religious Jesus said “Blind Pharisee, first cleanse the inside of the cup and dish, that the outside of them may be clean also.”(Matt 23:26) The only way we can be cleansed is by the blood of Jesus, which is the gospel message It is all about mans nature of being a sinner. Heb. 9:14-15“the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? \And for this reason He is the Mediator of the new covenant, by means of death,” To individuals ’If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.1 John 1:9-10 To the Church to “cleanse her with the washing of water by the word, that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish.”( Eph 5:26-27 ) Ps 32:1-2 “Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven Whose sin is covered. Blessed is the man to whom the LORD does not impute iniquity,And in whose spirit there is no deceit” Paul draws on this Rom 4:7-8 “ Blessed are those whose lawless deeds are forgiven “ And whose sins are covered; Blessed is the man to whom the LORD shall not impute sin." It had been this way from the beginning, For the Lord immediately told Cainwhen his offering for sin was not accepted AND he angered “If you do well, will you not be accepted? And if you do not do well, sin lies at the door. And its desire is for you, but you should rule over it.”(Gen 4:7) It’s Always been about mankind’s sin to be cleansed. FOR OUR NATURE we were Made in Was be like God’s moral nature. Col. 2:13“ And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses.” Because of Jesus,1 John 2:12 our sins are forgiven you for His name Heb. 12:2 “ to Jesus the Mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling that speaks better things than that of Abel" |
