Gentiles do not become Jews -Neither does the Church become the new Israel It is the Jews, the apostles who went to the Gentiles so they would hear the gospel to be saved. 81 times from the book of Acts to 1 Peter the term Gentiles is used to distinguish those (Jews) who have the oracles of God and those who did not. Those were a chosen nation and those who are not. Acts 10:17-23 “Peter wondering about the vision met men sent from Corneliusv.19While Peter thought about the vision, the Spirit said to him, "Behold, three men are seeking you. Arise therefore, go down and go with them, doubting nothing; for I have sent them." Peter went goes with the men to Cornelius, a centurion, who is called a just man, one who fears God and has a good reputation among all the nation of the Jews.”V:28 Meeting Cornelius Peter says “You know how unlawful it is for a Jewish man to keep company with or go to one of another nation. But God has shown me that I should not call any man common or unclean.” He understands the vision he received which was about the grace of God in the New covenant. V.34-48 Peter then speaks: "In truth I perceive that God shows no partiality. But in every nation whoever fears Him and works righteousness is accepted by Him. The word which God sent to the children of Israel, preaching peace through Jesus Christ--He is Lord of all-- …proclaimed throughout all Judea, … how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, V.39 And we are witnesses of all things which He did both in the land of the Jewsand in Jerusalem, whom they killed by hanging on a tree. Him God raised up on the third day, and showed Him openly, not to all the people, but to witnesses chosen before by God, even to us who ate and drank with Him after He arose from the dead. And He commanded us to preach to the people, and to testify that it is He who was ordained by God to be Judge of the living and the dead. To Him all the prophets witness that, through His name, whoever believes in Him will receive remission of sins." V.44 “While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit fell upon all those who heard the word. And those of the circumcision who believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out on the Gentiles also. For they heard them speak with tongues and magnify God. Then Peter answered, Can anyone forbid water, that these should not be baptized who have received the Holy Spirit just as we have?" and immediately they were to be baptized. This was the first time Gentiles were saved together, liken to Acts 2 for the Jews. Acts 11:2-4 Peter returns to Jerusalem, and facing criticism. “Those of the circumcision contended with him,… "You went in to uncircumcised men and ate with them!" Peter explains the vision and his being led to Cornelius’ house.V:15-16 as I began to speak, the Holy Spirit fell upon them, as upon us at the beginning.” the conclusion of all, V:17-18 “ God gave them the same gift as He gave us when we believed on the Lord Jesus Christ, who was I that I could withstand God?" When they heard these things they became silent; and they glorified God, saying, "Then God has also granted to the Gentiles repentance to life." How can anyone argue with what God has done. Acts 14:27 “ Now when they had come and gathered the church together, they reported all that God had done with them, and that He had opened the door of faith to the Gentiles . Acts 15:12-17 Paul spoke of the many miracles and wonders God had worked through them among the Gentiles. As they became silent, James answered, saying, "Men and brethren, listen to me: Simon has declared how God at the first visited the Gentiles to take out of them a people for His name. And with this the words of the prophets agree, just as it is written: 'After this I will return And will rebuild the tabernacle of David, which has fallen down;I will rebuild its ruins, And I will set it up; So that the rest of mankind may seek the LORD, Even all the Gentiles who are called by My name, Says the LORD who does all these things.' The gentiles praise God without a temple Rom. 10:19-21 Paul quotes Moses: "I will provoke you to jealousy by those who are not a nation, I will move you to anger by a foolish nation."Israel is a nation, the Gentilesare not a nation, but of many nations. But Isaiah is very bold and says: "I was found by those who did not seek Me;I was made manifest to those who did not ask for Me." But to Israel he says: "All day long I have stretched out My hands To a disobedient and contrary people." What we see is that Gentiles do not become Jews, nor Israel. Therefore the church does not replace Israel. God has a different plan for both. The church is to be for both Jews and Gentiles. That is God’s plan, but since the Roman empire absorbed christianity they made the Jews their enemy even of the Romanized Church. They purposely ignored the reason God was now saving Gentiles. And kept the Jews from the church ofRome In Rom 11:11-12 Paul explains “ But through their fall, to provoke them to jealousy, salvation has come to the Gentiles. Now if their fall is riches for the world, and their failure riches for the Gentiles, how much more their fullness!” The disciples were called Jews, who are also Hebrews. Acts 6:1 when the number of the disciples was multiplying, there arose a murmuring against the Hebrews by the Hellenists ” Gentiles are distinguished from the Jews all through the Bible.1 Peter 2:12 “having your conduct honorable among the Gentiles,1 Peter 4:3 we have spent enough of our past lifetime in doing the will of the Gentiles.” Meaning in ignorance of God’s ways. A distinction is kept with Paul as God tells Ananias Acts 9:15 “he is a chosen vessel of Mine to bear My name before Gentiles, kings, and the children of Israel.” Acts 7:44-46" Our fathers had the tabernacle of witness in the wilderness, as He appointed, instructing Moses to make it according to the pattern that he had seen, 45 which our fathers, having received it in turn, also brought with Joshua into the land possessed by the Gentiles , whom God drove out before the face of our fathers until the days of David, 1 Peter 1:18-25 “knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold, from your aimless conduct received by tradition from your fathers, but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot. He indeed was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you who through Him believe in God, who raised Him from the dead and gave Him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God.” Since you have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit in sincere love of the brethren, love one another fervently with a pure heart, 23 having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the word of God which lives and abides forever, v.24 because"All flesh is as grass, And all the glory of man as the flower of the grass. In v.25 But the word of the LORD endures forever." Now this is the word which by the gospel was preached to you.” Acts 26:20-21 “but declared first to those in Damascus and in Jerusalem, and throughout all the region of Judea, and then to the Gentiles , that they should repent, turn to God, and do works befitting repentance. For these reasons the Jews seized me in the temple and tried to kill me.” Acts 26:23 “that the Christ would suffer, that He would be the first to rise from the dead, and would proclaim light to the Jewish people and to the Gentiles “ This is Gods plan spoken of through the prophets. The Gentile Church does not exist by replacing Israel (replacement theology); nor does it exist apart from Israel; it is incorporated within the faithful remnant of Israel in the new covenant, the olive tree for their blessings. The warning in parable of the son being sent to his people first, “So they threw him out of the vineyard and killed him. What, then, will the owner of the vineyard do to them? "He will come and destroy these vine-growers and will give the vineyard to others.” (Luke 20:9–16). But this is not referring to all of Israel, but to those certain ones who planned and led the people to reject their Messiah. this is used to convince the church that Israel is no more. The Not so true church that replaces Israel Those who are replacement, kingdom now, dominionists reject Rom. 11 the ‘Olive tree covenant. Some even claim Christ died for GENTILES ONLY( as those did in the Romanized church): they are liars like their father the Devil, for they intentional deny God’s Word of salvation. Isaiah 53:6 speaking to his people and the whole world “And THE Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.” John introduced Jesus to Israel as the lamb that takes away the sins of the world, not just Israel’s sin. Isaiah 1:18 speaking to Israel, God asks them to reason together with him: “Though your sins are like scarlet, They shall be as white as snow.” That is if they agree with him about their sin, they can be forgiven. There are those in the church that have a very different view of eschatology, the study of the last days and see prophecy having to do with the Church triumphalism, not including Israel in the equation. Romans 11:17-19 “… do not be arrogant toward the branches. … remember it is not you who support the root, but the root that supports you.” Paul quotes Hab. 2:4 … addressing both “faith” AND “arrogance” “Behold, as for the proud one, His soul is not right within him But, the righteous will live by his faith.” God did not change his mind toward Israel or the Jews after the gospel is given. In fact he reinforced it, as Paul says the gospel is to Jew first. In fact, Paul was willing to give up his life for his people to have salvation.
Jesus forewarned his people, “Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of
God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits
thereof.” (Matt. 21:43). Yet some insist not to give the gospel to the Jews. Which is denying God’s way of salvation to the very people it came by. Others say the Jews are already saved because of the Old covenant which is equally wrong. The New Testament qualifies this by saying one must believe in the gospel to be saved, to the Jew first. The two most popular and insideous doctrines today are Replacement teaching, that the Church has replaced Israel. The other is Domnionism, kingdom now as promoted by the NAR, its attempt to install new apostles and have the church listen their prophets.. Dave Hunt explains, The rejection of Israel is essential to the unbiblical Reconstruction/ Kingdom/Dominion teaching that a Christian elite has a mandate to take over the world and set up the Kingdom, (a theocracy), as a condition of Christ's return." Some may say thy support Israel, but do they? how can thy if they teach this. Hunt points out, it was a Jesuit priest Luis de Alcasar that interpreted the prophecies of the Book of Revelation as having already been fulfilled in the first century A.D. It wasn't until the early eighteenth century, Preterism taught most biblical prophecies have been fulfilled. Amillennialism's error is the most common eschatological belief among churches. It is the view of Roman Catholics, Greek and Russian Orthodox churches, Lutherans, Presbyterians, Anglicans, Episcopalians, the Church of Christ, some Independent Baptists, and most Calvinists (with some notable exceptions). Amillennialism brought Christian Reconstructionism/Theonomy. The goal today, however, is far more ambitious, and insideous as it teaches the church to seek to take dominion over the world. The Reconstructionists, a.k.a. Theonomists, are all about setting up the Kingdom of God on earth governmentally through the implementation of the Old and New Testament laws and principles. An offshoot of Reconstructionism i(i.e. the Coalition On Revival, or COR, a movement in the '90s through the support of leading evangelicals and through the political activism of the religious right. ) The 7 mountain mandate that came from YWAM's founder Cunningham is also part of this movement. All of these beliefs are divorced from the truth in Scripture. Many errors come from new revelations or by an underlying pseudo-scholarship that have an underlying anti-Israel even anti-Semitic agenda. Those who ignore the Holy Spirit as their teacher, There are always those allow the spiritual influence of satan who will always distort the meaning and conclusion of the whole intention of the Scripture, denying the plain reading, this is especially serious when it comes to the prophecies that we now are seeing in place or coming to pass. This is not happenstance, as God’s enemy exerts his power and influence to oppose Israel exist as a nation. Satan knows that prophecy depends on Israel being a nation in their land, who will build a 3rd temple which will be the beginning of his end, he knows his time is short, as God has begun to bring the people back into the land. The enemy of God is doing everything he can to prevent this, using lies, hatred, terrorism, and a particular religion to violently oppose her to try to prevent these prophecies from taking place. God will preserve his people to keep His promises for the near and far future. The enemy influences so many to oppose and prevent prophecy to take place, for Israel is the most important country in God's prophecies, it is the center of his focus. God wants Israel in the land so his people will one day be saved, those who want Israel destroyed do not want them saved. We need to decide which side we are on; God’s or the enemies? |
