The Alarming Universal beliefs of Mike Adams, denying the gospel

Universalism is defined in various ways, one is that anyone can be accepted by God by their own good deeds, even if they are in another religion, philosophy, or even being an atheist. According to Christ and the teachings found in the Bible, this is false. This teaching gives the doer of works assurance that they are not lost and an excuse to ignore God’s only gospel that he gave for them to be saved by.

People need to know whom they are listening to, you are either being influenced the truth or not the truth. When it comes to spiritual teachings, falsehood cannot be ignored or overlooked, for it can be damaging eternally. What you hear and accept matters. This is especially true when one claims they are following Christ and teaching contrary to the Bible, one needs to pay attention for the safety of their soul.

Mike Adams is just such a person to be wary of, “But can you be a good person without reading the Bible? Yes. Yes, you can. Can you qualify for heaven without reading the Bible? Yes, you can. Can you qualify for heaven without even knowing about the existence of Jesus Christ? Yes, you can.” (085 John ch14)

This is a denial of the only faith that can save a soul! He is directly challenging the Word and the gospel.

“And remember what I said about the Bible? If you were to summarize the whole Bible, I guess I've said it a few different ways. But bottom line is don't be evil, be a good person. And if you can't be a good person, you will be destroyed. And if you are a good person, you'll go to heaven. I mean, that's the Bible in a nutshell. It's all of it.” (078-isaiah ch 1 god calls out the fake christians)

Actually it is in none of it! Nowhere does it say that by being a good person you will be accepted by God, into heaven. Paul (whom Adams does not accept as authentic, but does accepts other books outside the Bible) wrote salvation is, “by grace THROUGH faith we are saved” (Eph.2:8); by the gospel. Specifically says “not by works.”

What I cannot find is his spiritual conversion testimony of being born again? This is mandatory and cannot be bypassed for one to be right with God and more importantly, a teacher of God using the Bible. John 3:6 Jesus said you MUST be born again, or you will not see the kingdom of God.

Where does the Bible say to be good – for salvation (which he says is a reward)? This is more like a teaching from Santa Claus; you get a reward for being good.

He also combines other religions for salvation,“You have to earn your way into heaven so to speak. And you do that by having a positive balance sheet on that karmic record”(Divinity Now: Dealing with the loss of loved ones; and the immortality of the soul)

He speaks of our karmic balance sheet. Explaining, “divinity now, which is sort of why I named it this way. This is conscious cosmology. So in whatever days you have remaining, you have an opportunity, a blessing, gift to be able to then earn your way into redemptio n to out-earn the negative side of the things you've done by having more positive points in place when that final judgment day really comes.”

He explains this karma concept, “if you have ever done anything to harm ten people you need to do something equally profound to help thirty people you see where I’m going with this.”

And he explains other good deeds that “actually work in your favor on the karmic balance sheet.”(Divinity Now: Dealing with the loss of loved ones; and the immortality of the soul)

Teaching karma, is a main tenet of Hinduism, which he mixes with Christianity in his ‘sermons.’ So it all rests upon you Karma, having to do with past lives. He teaches your soul (consciousness?) is sent to earth for a body to test you. So your soul already existed with God and is sent to enter the body, this teaching is Hinduisim, not Christianity. He explains the concept of works giving you salvation (karma) off that delivers you of this world of illusion. And he then merges this to what little he understands of Christianity. You go to either heaven or hell based on being a good or bad person.

“You realize that, right? That people can go to heaven who don't even know about the Bible. People can go to heaven just by being good people if their behavior is aligned with what God demands. And there are people who are not Christians that have figured this out.’ (085 John ch14- Is CHRIST the only pathway to Heaven? If so, what happens to all the Jews?)

They, nor you have not figured anything out. While we are told to do good, it does not gain salvation for anyone. An example is from Jesus himself, when they said to Him, "What shall we do, that we may work the works of God?" Jesus answered and said to them, "This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent " (John 6:28-29.) Throughout the New Testament Jesus continually says, as do the apostles, to believe on him for Salvation. Because he has come to be the savior from sin.

Acts 4:12 “Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” (Eph.1:13 Acts 16:31, in fact this is a commandment 1 John 3:23) Believe is used almost 150 times in the Scripture, over 20 times it directly says to believe in Jesus. No other name, no other way for salvation. John the disciple Jesus loved write in 1 John 5:13 “These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God .”

THIS is the Bibles message. Salvation does not come to anyone from being good! Humanity can do both good and evil, but no one IS good. Jesus’ standard of good is God, this is why he says no one is good but God .

After reading Ps. 75:9 Adams says of the judgment “those who are good will go to heaven and those who are evil will go to hell”(Mike Adams Sermon 089 - Psalm 75)

The problem with his interpretation is that one does not have to be ‘evil’ to go to hell, they only need to be a unforgiven sinner (which is anyone who have not received Christ, repenting of their sins; be it a Jew or a Gentile). For Paul writes the gospel is “for the Jew first and also for the Greek (Gentile) (Rom. 1:16.)

“You earn God's love. You earn it through your actions. And if you don't earn it, you burn forever in the lake of fire and brimstone." (064 - After planetary WIPEout) so the gospel which is by grace is nullified to bring salvation.

Adams is not just missing presenting the bibles gospel in his teachings, he teaches against it.

Yes, all religions even those who use Jesus’ name speak of being good. Unity School of Christianity, which became known as part of the new thought movement, ‘mind science’ (the new age), Charles Fillmore wrote: "Unity believes there is good in every religion on earth and that we should keep our minds open."Isn’t this what Adams is saying?

Adams says,Christ cannot be the only way. What's clear in all the teachings of the Bible, Old Testament and New, is that the pathway to heaven is created by being a good person in alignment with the teachings of the Lord, which were further refined with the teachings of Christ, right? So, if you follow what Christ taught, yes, that is a pathway to heaven. And before christ … if you were a good (person who practiced your behavior in a way that is in alignment with what the Lord teaches, guess what? You go to heaven too.” (085 John ch14- Is CHRIST the only pathway to Heaven? If so, what happens to all the Jews?)

One cannot be a genuine believer, a Christian, a follower of Christ by denying the gospel, which is about Jesus giving his life for sin. That is what saves you by grace through faith. Even if one were only a new disciple, you would not deny him or His word. A Christian does not deny Jesus as God’s only incarnate son, which in denial John says is an antichrist teaching.

Adams is clear in his statements, that salvation is not by GRACE through faith but we must have works. If one's faith is genuine, they will produce fruit, good works, they don’t have to strain to do this, it comes naturally, they need to exercise their faith.

But he claims (good) works done by all the different religions are accepted, and able to get you to heaven. He really does not understand what Jesus and the Bible are saying. No deed is accepted as a good work unless it is done ‘in Christ’ (Eph.2:10.)

Shortly after his most offensive ‘Easter sermon, ’on April 22, 2025 Adams posted on X “There is literally NO requirement from God that you accept Christ as your savior in order to enter Heaven . How do we know this? Because Christ doesn't even appear until after thousands of years of Jewish worship and tradition in the Old Testament, long before Christ was even born. And anyone arguing that knowing Christ is a prerequisite to entering Heaven is arguing that, in their view, all Jews must therefore go to Hell because they don't recognize Christ at all. I mention all this to help you FREE YOUR MIND from the lies taught to you by Christian pastors and influencers who are simply repeating the same lies over and over again, hoping you never actually read the Bible.” (Adams https://x.com/HealthRanger/status/1914723371352293558 )

Who is teaching lies? Who is not reading the Bible? Adams basically believes that acts of love bring salvation, not Christ.

I want to camp on his current statement on X which sums up his contrarian teachings.

In his feeble attempt in trying to cause division of the Judeo/Christian legacy and pit us against each other, he shows utter contempt and ignorance for what is written. Jesus appeared after thousands of years of prophecies of him coming, except Adam’s does not know who it is that actually appeared. Some Jewish guy named Jesus? The fact is Jesus said we are all already condemned (Jn.3:18) because of our sin, which is the very reason Jesus appeared, is to forgive sin (Heb.9:26:1 Jn.3:5.)

The Bible speaks of Jesus as the Savior, in various ways, dozens of times.

Titus 3:4-5 it is by “the kindness and the love of God our Savior toward man appeared, not by works of righteousnesswhich we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us.”Not by OUR Works, NOT even by righteous works.

Titus 3:6 “He poured out on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior .”Who is God the savior.

Titus 1:4 We “may adorn the doctrine of God our Savior.

Titus 2: 10 “We escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ 2 Peter 2:20. Not by our works.

2 Peter 1:1 “To those who have obtained like precious faith with us by the righteousness of our God and Savior Jesus Christ.

2 Tim. 1:9 “who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works , but according to His own purpose and grace which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began.”Again not by OUR works. This is one of the clearest doctrines taught in the Bible.

Adam’s is not freeing your mind but freeing you from your mind; to think logically, biblically what Scripture actually says. Just because he is ignorant and rebellious on this does not mean you have to be also.

Adam’s is blind to God’s glorious gospel, he supports the way of salvation that the world believes in, by their good deeds. The world that does not understand what sin is and why we need a savior.

1 John 1:7-9 “the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.” If you only need to be good you do not need a savior, or a gospel. Jesus is the savior because he saves us from our sin by his blood, his life was given.

2 Tim 1:10 “but has now been revealed by the appearing of our Savior Jesus Christ, who has abolished death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel?”It’s by the gospel, not your own ‘good works’, whatever they may be.

We are to be “looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ”(Titus 2:13) The coming of our savior, whether the rapture or second coming which he also denied in his post on X.

From the years prior to him teaching the Bible, I see no change in his ‘beliefs on salvation.’“If you've walked, you've strayed from the path of alignment with the divine, get back on the path . Walk that path now toward the divine and earn salvation for your soul , earn redemption for your soul.”That path is not by the gospel if you are earning it.

He is constantly brings to question the Bible “Nowhere does it say you have to memorize Scripture in order to enter heaven...And the other important point to realize is that the Bible is not always the Bible.” (2025 Easter Sunday special message from the Health Ranger: God DESTROYS all human life on Earth)

True, you don’t have to memorize it, but you are to read it to understand it, which he does not.

He is also continually hostile to Christians,“I would say the vast majority of mainstream Christians don't know much of anything about Christianity, but they certainly don't know anything about Judaism, and they don't know anything about Islam, and so they don't know that Jews reject Christ. And so when they say themselves that Christ is the only way, they are saying that all Jews go to hell and that all practitioners of Islam go to hell. That's what they're saying, that Christ is the only way. (085 John ch14)

“…. it's theoretically possible that God could send another ambassador to earth . And Islam believes that he did. Islam believes that that ambassador's name is Mohammed, by the way. See? So in fact, Islam says that the Quran is just the third part of the Bible. You got the Old Testament that the Jews practice. You've got the New Testament that the Christians believe.”

“And then you got the newer part written like six centuries later, which is Islam with Muhammad. So people of Islam say, well, God sent another prophet or another savior, Muhammad. See? So folks, gotta open your mind a little bit about what God's capable of. (085 John ch14- Is CHRIST the only pathway to Heaven? If so, what happens to all the Jews?)

Adams continually attacks God's word, minimizing it, diminishing its importance, even its source. Yet he uses it, teaching against it. His inaccuracies are constant, Islam does not teach Mohammed is another savior as Adams claims, but a prophet.

He teaches,“according to what Christ says here, Jews do not have a pathway to heaven because they do not recognize Christ, but followers of Islam do have a pathway to heaven because they honor Chris t and they consider Christ to be a prophet and they honor the Virgin Mary and so on.”(097 - Mark Ch 9 - Jesus teaches MULTI-DENOMINATIONAL acceptance)

Adams shows he does not know the actual differences, Islam believes he is a man, like other prophets, and is not the Messiah, this is not honoring the Jesus of the Bible.

Adams says,“if you actually read the Bible, especially the New Testament, and you read the teachings of Paul, and the words of Christ himself, and also the Book of Revelation, etc., if you read it in detail, you find out that the requirements to enter heaven are not that great. And by the way, reading the Bible itself is not one of the requirements, it turns out. It's not .”(2025 Easter sunday message)

So when Jesus said to learn of me, and “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word ; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him. He who does not love Me does not keep My words(John 14:23-24.) Is this meaningless, or are we to continue in his Word? John 5:39Jesus tells us the Scripture testifies of Me,He came to do what is written of him, to do God’s will (Heb. 10:7.)

Adams talks about different Bibles in different Christian traditions. That the west “is missing a bunch of books? the Ethiopian Bible, 88 books… A lot of the books that were removed from the Western Christian Bibles because THEY didn't want you to know about those things…. So they took them out. So the Bible's actually been censored. And most of the Bible was written by Jewish scribes, who we know can't be trusted.” (2025 Easter Sunday special message from the Health Ranger: God DESTROYS all human life on Earth)

The Jewish scribes kept the Bible intact, we are indebted to them. Apparently, Adams is now the arbiter of what is scriptures' truth. So the Jews who preserved the Word of God are really hiding the truth? The Tanach is proven accurate by the Dead Sea Scrolls and other ancient evidence. He continually has nothing good to say about Jews today or in the past. Should you be listening to Adams who denies the Word, or be someone that believes the Word, that is truth?

“So no, God did not write the Bible. God did not write the Bible. It was gathered from bits and pieces of writings of men, men who were imperfect.” (ibid) Yes they were imperfect but they wrote exactly what God said, It says this throughout Scripture (2 Tim. 3:16.)

Here is the explanation of his universal salvation by ‘good works.’

“there's a description of being good in every major world religion. Every religion, from Islam to Buddhism to Hinduism, Sikhism. I mean, I don't know all the world religions. Judaism and Catholicism and so on. Every world religion has a reference of what is a good person. And sometimes it's scattered throughout their writings, like even in the Bible, it's all scattered throughout. You have many, many examples of what it means to be a good person. But can you be a good person without reading the Bible? Yes. Yes, you can.” (085 John ch14)

Apparently Adams knows better than the apostles and all the early church, better than every Bible scholar in history to say this. You do not need Christ or the Bible? Adams says it’s by works without Christ? But he also says the opposite, showing He is confused.

“Jesus said, it doesn't matter. It doesn't matter what you call yourself. You could call yourself a Buddhist, a Sikh, a Hindu. He didn't say these exact words, but I'm attempting to explain what Jesus meant. You could call yourself a Muslim. You could even call yourself an atheist, I suppose. You could call yourself anything. But if you perform your deeds in the name of Jesus, then your path to salvation is intact.” (097 - Mark Ch 9 - Jesus teaches MULTI-DENOMINATIONAL acceptance)

You can call yourself wrong. Nowhere does Jesus say this, and why would a Muslim, a Sikh, a Buddhist or a Hindu do anything in Jesus’ name and not in the name of their god or religion? He has deceived himself and others by saying the path to salvation is without the gospel over and over.

He chides Christians for not having standards OR discernment “There's no bar that anyone has to meet in order to get into heaven…And that's contradictory to what God tells us. It's also contradictory to what King David wrote in Psalm 11. … But just remember, entry into heaven is conditional. You can be rejected if you don't earn it. He then quotes Psalm 11, verse 1.”(082 Psalm 11 - God HATES those who espouse violence, both individuals and entire nations like Israel

Yet he will at times say, “Jesus himself is the pathway to heaven” (097 Mark Ch 9.) In another place he says “all your sins will be wiped out. But you have to ask for it.” (89 - Psalm 75 - God DISSOLVES the earth) which means those who do not ask from other religions are not accepted.

“He gave his life in the crucifixion to wash away your sins, but it only works if you accept that covenant. …if you never accept Christ into your life, then your sins were never washed away by him, …. So you see how important it is to lead a life with Christ, learn what he teaches, follow the wisdom that is offered by the Bible” (064 - After planetary WIPEout)

Which is it? It can’t be both! Adams continually contradicts what he says elsewhere about deeds.

Is it by Christ and the bible or not? When we find someone speaks inaccurately and then accurately on the same topic, which position are we to believe? Let me apply Biblical logic. When someone says what is right and correct, and also says the opposite, what is incorrect on the same subject, it means they really believe what is incorrect. Why? Because they would not introduce the opposite, what is false if they truly believed and held the truth!

“…Earth is destroyed, but yes, your soul is saved if you are worthy in the eyes of God No one is worthy that why it says from those in heaven, Jesus is worthy, Rev. 4:11, no one was worthy to open the scroll… Rev. 5:9 “You are worthy to take the scroll, And to open its seals; For You were slain, And have redeemed us to God by Your blood.” All of heaven calls out Rev. 5:12 “Worthy is the Lamb who was slain.”

Adams believes we are redeemed by our deeds, not “ with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot” (1 Peter 1:19-20), which is the gospel. The bible explains salvation came from his work for us, not our work for him. The Bible’s gospel is not accepted or being taught because his focus is on himself, on his works.

Jesus said, “For I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance." ( Matt 9:13-14)What does this mean? Another time, Jesus says this and clarifies the meaning. Mark 2:17 "Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance."

Only those who recognize their spiritual condition will come to him to be healed by his sacrifice. Those who do not see themselves as sinful are confident in themselves and what they do.

Herein lies the problem, Adams does not understand, it was always by faith and by a blood sacrifice from the garden onward. In the Old Testament it was of animal sacrifice, that covered sin. In the New Testament it is Christ's precious blood that removes our sin by his one time sacrifice.

Jesus can’t be your savior without recognizing him being Lord, for he is God incarnate. “The Word is God” Jn.1:1, V.14 “And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory.”

1 Tim. 2:3-4 “For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.”

This is what God wants for Adams and for you. Since he is using his name, the least he can do for himself and loved ones is come to believe on him as it written by Jesus’ appointed apostles.
