They will reject truth and believe The Lie! John 14:16-17 "And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever-- "the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. This is what separates believers from the world, keeps them from the world and the enemy who rules over it, TRUTH. We are kept by the Spirit of truth. God will give to each according to there works : “but to
those who are self-seeking and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness-- The Gnostics called their doctrine the depths of God, which contained arcane secrets and mysteries of divine wisdom. Christ called them the depths of Satan (Revelation 2:24). God says in Isaiah 48:16 “Come near to Me, hear this: I have not spoken in secret from the beginning.” The Gnostics and mystics pursue the unknown; rejecting what is already revealed as truth from God. This is exemplified in the New age movements blending of spirituality with the old Gnostic / mystical ways to form ones personal self religion (spirituality). In our day truth is rare from businesses, education, relationships and yes, in the pulpits of churches. Are you living under dead teaching, then you are dying and eventually will become fruitless from it. The problem is you may not notice because you accepted a substitute that seems real to you. Too many feel more at home with a counterfeit than the genuine. In fact many will resist any information of facts to persuade them from it. Our nation is under siege with lies. Will we hear what Jeremiah had to say to Israel in their backslide? Jer. 7:28 "So you shall say to them, 'This is a nation that does not obey the voice of the LORD their God nor receive correction. Truth has perished and has been cut off from their mouth.” And when it is not stopped it escalates very quickly, Israel is our example. Hosea 4:1-2 “Hear the word of the LORD, you children of Israel, for the LORD brings a charge against the inhabitants of the land: "There is no truth or mercy or knowledge of God in the land. By swearing and lying, killing and stealing and committing adultery, they break all restraint, with bloodshed upon bloodshed.” We have an administration whose policies are severing the country from its constitution; can we read the signs that we see? If not, how can we read the signs that are spiritual? The same is happening in the church, in our pulpits - those who are not teaching from our constitution, the bible, severing the church from the word. We get lies in the place of truth, and what people believed to be true is found out not to be written in the Bible. This can easily become the end of the evangelical church in America and be spread abroad. What will become of us when we have very few teachers of the word, teachers who are not willing to stand up for the truth in the face of lies and evil? In the last days before the final Gentile ruler of the nations is manifest we will see these same sinful characteristics become common in mankind. But there is also another element. Just as demonic activity increased before Christ’s first coming, it will increase before the second coming . In fact it will become the last great assault on mankind to deceive the nations and will continue through the Tribulation period. Satan and his followers of fallen spirits are able to manifest in the physical realm. Satan put boils on Job, caused Sabeans and Chaldeans to rob Job and kill his servants, caused a ‘great wind’ to destroy a house and kill Job’s children—and in each case one person was left alive to bring the news to Job. Satan brought Christ to the top of a mountain and to the pinnacle of the temple (Lk. 4:5; Mt.4:5). Jannes and Jambres (2 Tm 3:8) were able to duplicate Moses miracles to a limited point by the power of Satan for Pharaoh who kept God’s people in bondage. It is God that holds the limits to Satan’s ‘power and signs and lying wonders’ (2 Thes: 2:9 ) As there will be a certain when the False Messiah is presented to the world “Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders.” Satan will cause the whole world to worship His anointed man, the Antichrist as ‘God’ (Rev. 13:8). All of this helps to set the stage for the last days ‘strong delusion’” that God Himself will send upon the world because of their rejection of the Truth. 2 Thess: 2:11 “And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie.” The truth has everything to do with Jesus Christ and the gospel. Rom. 16:25-26 “Now to Him who is able to establish you according to my gospel and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery kept secret since the world began but now has been made manifest, and by the prophetic Scriptures has been made known to all nations, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, for obedience to the faith.” Obedience to faith (God’s revealed word), has been a problem from the beginning. As outside influences of a spiritual nature mislead man. Since the Garden of Eden mankind has remained open to contact and receiving advice and help from demons who manifest as benevolent spirits, as UFOs and masquerading as ETIs. We are watching 1 Tim 4:1 unfold: “Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons” So many assume the voices and revelation they receive is God and do not consider them to be lying spirits. Speaking to the religious leaders who rejected the truth "You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it. "But because I tell the truth, you do not believe Me” (John 8:44-45). As for the true believers, the church Jesus is building. 2 Cor. 13:8 “For we can do nothing against the truth, but for the truth.” This by fully trusting Christ having a walk of faith. Faithfulness is a continual allegiance to the truth, loyalty will be tested in the end more than at any other time in history. Paul told the believers “Watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong. Let all that you do be done with love” (1 Cor. 16:13-14). One of the facets of love is that it rejoices in hearing the truth. Today few people want to hear it and when they do they get upset if it happens to be a correction for them to change. We are told it is wisdom “Do not correct a scoffer, lest he hate you; rebuke a wise man, and he will love you. “ (Prov. 9:8; Prov. 13:1)Prov .13:18 Poverty and shame will come to him who disdains correction, but he who regards a rebuke will be honored.” Prov. 15:32 “He who disdains instruction despises his own soul, but he who heeds rebuke gets understanding.” Phil 1:27-28 Paul wrote to the Philippians” I may hear of your affairs, that you stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel, and not in any way terrified by your adversaries, which is to them a proof of perdition, but to you of salvation, and that from God.” Jude wrote something similar “exhorting you to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints” (Jude 1:3) In the latter days this will be crucial for survival. It will not be questions like why we believe the Bible or the proofs that support it, but competing words of revelation and distorted revelations that will be accepted as the truth. Consider how the Bible describes lies and liars. Prov. 6:19 A false witness who speaks lies, and one who sows discord among brethren.” Prov. 14:5 “A faithful witness does not lie, but a false witness will utter lies.” Prov. 14:25 “A true witness delivers souls, but a deceitful witness speaks lies.” Consider the prosperity preachers; are they delivering souls from judgment or their money into their pockets. Prov. 19:2-8 “Also it is not good for a soul to be without knowledge, and he sins who hastens with his feet. The foolishness of a man twists his way, and his heart frets against the LORD. Wealth makes many friends, but the poor is separated from his friend. A false witness will not go unpunished, and he who speaks lies will not escape. Many entreat the favor of the nobility, and every man is a friend to one who gives gifts. All the brothers of the poor hate him; how much more do his friends go far from him! He may pursue them with words, yet they abandon him. He who gets wisdom loves his own soul; he who keeps understanding will find good.” How many compromise their integrity for money, to make it easier for themselves. Again, allegiance to the truth, our loyalty will be tested. The wolves and false shepherds find ways to unite with and influence some good shepherds. Those who are willing to give ear to being misled to have a larger audience or become financially secure. Only a few good shepherds have anything to say about this. Why? Their discernment is not being used, because they trust them as friends and have let down their guard in testing there words. Jer 9:3 "And like their bow they have bent their tongues for lies. They are not valiant for the truth on the earth. For they proceed from evil to evil, and they do not know Me," says the LORD. They have not settled the word of God in their hearts. Ps. 119:128 “Therefore all Your precepts concerning all things I consider to be right; I hate every false way.” Prov. 29:12-13”If a ruler pays attention to lies, all his servants become wicked.” This is how lies work, they are never kept contained. And so it is for pastors that accept the various lies of liars. We are seeing a warm up of a future period of time where truth will be God will send a delusion to those who reject the truth, you can count on it. It will be so strong that once one believes the lie there will be no turning from it. I King 22:1-23: V.5And Jehoshaphat said to the king of Israel, "Please inquire for the word of the LORD today." Then the king of Israel gathered the prophets together, about four hundred men, and said to them, "Shall I go against Ramoth Gilead to fight, or shall I refrain?" So they said, "Go up, for the Lord will deliver it into the hand of the king." And Jehoshaphat said, "Is there not still a prophet of the LORD here, that we may inquire of Him?" So the king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, "There is still one man, Micaiah the son of Imlah, by whom we may inquire of the LORD; but I hate him, because he does not prophesy good concerning me, but evil." And Jehoshaphat said, "Let not the king say such things!"Then the king of Israel called an officer and said, "Bring Micaiah the son of Imlah quickly!" … " And all the prophets prophesied so, saying, "Go up to Ramoth Gilead and prosper, for the LORD will deliver it into the king's hand." V.13 Then the messenger who had gone to call Micaiah spoke to him, saying, "Now listen, the words of the prophets with one accord encourage the king. Please, let your word be like the word of one of them, and speak encouragement." And Micaiah said, "As the LORD lives, whatever the LORD says to me, that I will speak." Then he came to the king; and the king said to him, "Micaiah, shall we go to war against Ramoth Gilead, or shall we refrain?" And he answered him, "Go and prosper, for the LORD will deliver it into the hand of the king!" So the king said to him, "How many times shall I make you swear that you tell me nothing but the truth in the name of the LORD?" He wanted to hear the truth or so he thought. Then he said, "I saw all Israel scattered on the mountains, as sheep that have no shepherd. And the LORD said, 'These have no master. Let each return to his house in peace.'" And the king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, "Did I not tell you he would not prophesy good concerning me, but evil?" Then Micaiah said, "Therefore hear the word of the LORD: I saw the LORD sitting on His throne, and all the host of heaven standing by, on His right hand and on His left. "And the LORD said, 'Who will persuade Ahab to go up, that he may fall at Ramoth Gilead?' So one spoke in this manner, and another spoke in that manner. "Then a spirit came forward and stood before the LORD, and said, 'I will persuade him.' "The LORD said to him, 'In what way?' So he said, 'I will go out and be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets.' And the LORD said, 'You shall persuade him, and also prevail. Go out and do so.' "Therefore look! The LORD has put a lying spirit in the mouth of all these prophets of yours, and the LORD has declared disaster against you." One of the lessons we see from this is that even important people look to lies from me to make them feel secure. God had sent a lie to take over rulers before, but not to the extent of what will take place for those who reject the truth. Just as all the prophets prophesied victory to the king by a false spirit, we have the very same thing occurring today prior to the finale. The sheep are scattered because of the false words of the many prophets and disaster is coming. John 5:43 "I have come in My Father's name, and you do not receive Me; if another comes in his own name, him you will receive.” So this “new Messiah” will not say he is Jesus but he will be seen as a Christ or of some other spiritual term that will be all encompassing. To believe the lie of 2 Thessalonians 2 is to believe that the antichrist is the messiah. He will be so slick and polished that unless you have been deeply rooted in the word you too will be fooled. One reason is because of his powerful miracles. Lying always has the intent to deceive the hearer and protect the liar. Lies have permeated the church and society. People lie about investments to get ahead in business, they lie in the church with false promises so that you give them your money. They brag on how a great amount of people are saved and healed, continually boasting on how God is using their ministry in an unique way so people are more willing to give their money to them. They boast, instead of showing humility. Consider the words of Job, the oldest Bible book written Job 12:11-13: “Does not the ear test words and the mouth taste its food? Wisdom is with aged men, and with length of days, understanding. "With Him are wisdom and strength, he has counsel and understanding.” We have the word, to keep to it is wisdom in this time of lies. |
