Pulse, pushing the reset button together 2016

Inspired by the ministry of Billy Graham young Nick Hall desired to be an evangelist. I think we would all like to see more evangelism and reach out other generations. Yet what we see under the banner of evangelism is more often unity rallies with those we should not be in unity with.

Hall launched PULSE as a college junior in 2006, as a prayer and evangelism movement on mission to empower the Church and awaken culture to the reality of Jesus. Linked with hundreds of ministries and churches around the world to fuel evangelistic movements. …the common goal of everything we do is to share the hope of Jesus.   (PulseMovement.com)

He is now called a voice to the next generation. What started with prayers from a few students is now called the largest student led evangelistic movement. Pulse called 1 million Americans to gather on the National Mall July 16th to join in prayer for the nation at an event called "Together 2016."

More than 1,000 churches nationwide pledged attendance, with more pledges anticipated in the coming months.

One would think that here would be a good place to mention the gospel as the center of the movement but we hear evangelistic movement ministries, which does not mean much without some qualifications

The free event featured over 40 well-known speakers, recording artists, authors and leaders from various backgrounds for a day of unified prayer and worship

Confirmed speakers and artists include: Hillsong United, Kari Jobe, Francis Chan, Lecrae, Nick Hall, Passion, Crowder, Kirk Franklin, Ravi Zacharias, Jeremy Camp, Andy Mineo, Michael W. Smith, Lauren Daigle, Christine Caine, Mark Batterson, Matthew West, Jo Saxton, Mike Kelsey, Casting Crowns, John K. Jenkins, Sr., Josh McDowell, Laurel Bunker, Luis Palau, Tedashii, Tasha Cobbs, Lacey Sturm, York Moore, Trip Lee, Sammy Rodriguez, Ronnie Floyd, Reid Saunders, Bob Lenz, Jose Zayas, Jennie Allen, Nabeel Qureshi, Ann Voskamp, KB, Christine D'Clario, Matt Maher, Sammy Wanyonyi, Lindsey Nobles, Amena Brown, and Josh Brewer; with a special message from His Holiness, Pope Francis.

Clearly among the names are some questionable people, some who are engrossed in controversies. But the one that we should focus on is what is called His holiness, Pope Francis. This Event featured a personal video message from His Holiness, Pope Francis

This already disqualifies this being about Jesus. Why? Because this man is a leader of a false church and is called his holiness and he is being acknowledge as Pope. Something Jesus never spoke of, nor would approve of EVER!

Hall traveled to Rome to meet with the Roman Catholic leader...

Hall says “We are humbled and honored by his involvement and are eager to share his message with the crowd that gathers at Together 2016," he told the Christian Post. "That His Holiness would choose to speak into this historic day is a testament to the urgency and the need for followers of Jesus to unite in prayer for our nation and our world."

Here again we have a repeat of what took place at a Kenneth Copeland’s meeting 2 years ago, that didn’t end well. Seems some do not learn from their mistakes. This is far more pervasive.  Tony Palmer a member of the Roman Catholic Ecumenical Delegation for Christian Unity and Reconciliation officially supported the Catholic Church's Ecumenical Movement shared a message that Pope Francis asked him to deliver to evangelicals /protestant believers. He misrepresented what the Roman church believes like few others.

Hall says, "The times call for this moment," "It is time to gather on a large scale and draw our attention back to where it really matters. Our hope and our help are found in Jesus, not in political leaders. We are going to come together, seek God, pray for our nation and pray for unity.  Our goal is to gather as a unified front, seeking Jesus and change for our nation through prayer and worship."

It sounds like it has good intentions, that is until we find out the details that are under the surface, the participants.

This Pope has been the most political leader the Vatican has ever had. Pray for Unity of what?  The Vatican claims Muslims, Christians are children of the same God. Is this where this headed; that’s the Popes vision. Have you ever heard a Roman Catholic give the gospel for someone to be saved  by the message (by faith)? What we see are Pope[s] that visit a mosque and do not give the message of life, a Pope like this one that invites Muslims to the Vatican to pray and does not give them the message of life. So when we hear of unity one should ask, unity with what?

Hall's statement of faith is standard and orthodox. However, I want to use the last point no.7  to make a point. “We believe in the spiritual unity of the Church, which is the Body of Christ, composed of all who are regenerated through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

That is NOT Roman Catholicism (who are reborn by water, baptism, even without believing as infants and all the other sacraments). So one might be justified in asking why is Hall allowing the Pope to give a special message at this meeting.

If he sought Jesus as he stating in his quotes then he would stand by Jesus' word and know that the Roman Catholics present another way to God, another Gospel and even another Jesus (one who keeps coming back to be crucified afresh).  Hall’s compromise on this is significant. Like all ecumenists, they overlook details for their agenda of unity.

“Pray for Together 2016. When we pray, God moves. Together 2016 won’t happen without all of us joining in extraordinary prayer, to lift a unified sound.”

God is not obligated to do a thing unless it is His will and timing.

Hall says, "There has to be a leader that rises above, and we think Jesus is that leader. Regardless of, really, religion or background, Jesus offers us an example of friendship, of leadership, of character, of integrity," Hall continued. "And as people of faith, we believe that His spirit comes and can empower us to be the generation that we're supposed to be. Through prayer, through getting in scriptures, through talking about His life and what He did, we believe that change can happen in every level of society."

Jesus didn't rise above but came down from heaven as a servant. Jesus also was honest and spoke when one is wrong and teaching the people wrong. Regardless of religion? Is he secularizing Jesus? What does this mean? Or does anyone care. Is Jesus our leader, or our Lord; there is a difference.

If Jesus to be our leader are we following His way, speaking the truth, using the truth of the word? I think that’s is what is needed more, and what people hunger for. It seems this description of Hall’s is a mile wide and an inch deep. What about giving the gospel?
If Jesus is our example then why is Hall teaching unity with all who profess his name when Jesus did not?

Just a few of the many examples

Pastor Samuel Rodriguez, who is an NAR apostle since 2009 (Wagner's elite International Coalition of Apostles -ICA of restored apostles  for the church today) that  holds  Dominionist theology, He  has also been the Vice-President of the Oak Initiative, a religio-political entity initiated by Rick Joyner who is also a NAR apostle who has his own ministry called Morningstar Ministries….  (Dr. Orrel Steinkamp, “NAR in the Political Limelight,” Herescope, Sept. 17, 2012; see: http://herescope.blogspot.com/2012/09/nar-in-political-limelight.html

Then there is Lou Engle (the loudest voice and possibly the most annoying in prayer, who thinks loud is exercising authority)

In one video in front of an audience of young adults Engle talks about the Avengers movie “if that is not a mt.16 movie I don’t know what is. Two or three united together – whatever they pray. Listen, the guy that’s the most selfish sacrifices his life closes the portal to demons (one really needs to see how he is acting as he’s telling this)”…. Avengers, a must see for spiritual warfare.  And I want to be the Hulk – I mean, I was so moved by that movie when the music’s going and Hulks coming, boom. I start weeping in the movie I’m so moved by the Holy Spirit”

Clearly this man should not be considered a teacher on Spiritual warfare OR the Bible. Being the Hulk who has brute strength and little control over his emotions (hulk smash) is not to be anyone’s goal.

When we hear things like this we should not be surprised seeing Engle bow and kiss the feet of Roman Catholic leader Matteo Calisi, appointed by Pope Benedict to serve on the Pontifical Council for the Laity. He is doing this while The Catholic representative is speaking of unity.

Lou Engle kissing the feet of a Pope Benedict appointee (screenshot) – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GrV1G5rVzXs

The evangelist prayer warrior Lou Engle kisses the feet of one who represents the world’s largest false teacher of a church, the Pope. These people have no problem uniting with Rome and its Pope, the most corrupt of any church.

The together Meeting

At 1 hour 58 minutes https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DyNTdXPndlk&feature=youtu.be ) Nick listens to a Catholic tell him on Eph.4:4-5 on the body united under the head that is the basis for our unity.

Nick says amen to This. What was missing is that the head of the Catholic church is the Pope, so does he know what he is amening?

Nick admonishes the people, saying we should get to know each other instead of judging from a distance. Isn’t that what Paul did when he wrote his letters to the Corinthians? So can we judge what is right and wrong after we get to know each – or not at all?

Lou Engle follows saying Americas in crises (as are the nations), So clear from the Scriptures- he goes to Joel 2 as God’s remedy is blow the trumpet in zion, call a fast, gather the elders, gather the children -

He said you have to be willing to drop denominational gender barriers race barriers you must be willing to call upon me with fasting and prayer.”

Lou needs to read his bible more carefully God’s warning is the trumpet, the remedy is repentance . which is the direction these men are not leading them into.

Drop gender barriers? Where did God say this?

The he prays for God to release the grace of unity… over the denominations, then talks about the sound of the trumpet being heard by the church and through Nick, let the sound of the trumpet blow and let your body respond with unity. So is God warning us about not being in unity? Or is God telling us to separate from those who do not hold the doctrine of Christ?

My question is, does Reset change everything or does Jesus Changes Everything?

Which reset button is being pushed. Can the church survive so much unity talk without learning to be grounded in the Scriptures?
