Shocked by the Bible p.2 Mankind being made gods He writes God is a family, “We basically dirt, the bible says, god formed Adam he scooped a bunch of dirt together shaped it, … into his own shape blew into this pile of dirt and it became a living being. but he is placing us as sons, adopting us as sons into his own kind, and this is the divine secret.” (paranormal palace radio) So clearly he is saying that God is making humans into what he is. Really? We will all be gods? So then Kovacs is an admitted polytheist because he is denying Monotheism, that there is one eternal infinite God. He is proposing a God who is further enlarged by individual creatures. Since there is only one God there has to be another explanation other than what Kovac’s says, There is lot to unravel here, first to say he is going to enlarge his divine family does diminish the understanding of who God actually is. And has one believe they will be God just like God is God when they become part of family. Beside the bible never describing God as a family (for good reason) Kovacs take liberty in explaining what the bible does not say. To say God is a family and we are added to his family is impossible. Gods being is a closed nature, it is not open to additions. He can’t make a creature into himself. He is alone in this category of being, as He is the cause of all things. Kovacs also states “I just want to emphasize that this message is for all people. It’s not just for people in the Churches of God. God is Creator of all mankind, and we’re actually created in the God kind.” (Journal Issue No. 150 July 27, 2012) Only those spiritually regenerated are considered God’s family. Which is by a spirit birth. which I have not heard him mention in his interviews (for salvation He speaks of is by obedience to God’s laws). Jesus said That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7 Do not marvel that I said to you, 'You must be born again.' (John 3:6-7). Once a person has been born again they adopted into God's family, the regenerated person possesses eternal life. Referring to the book of Acts Kovac tries to connect his false view with Scripture “it says since We are the offspring of God. God is actually having offspring, he has having many sons and daughters according to Scripture. So God is looking to enlarge his divine family… God already now is a family. You’ve heard of the father and the son… are a family. It is a family of divine beings.” (paranormal palace radio interview) underline mine He uses the book of Acts to prove we are the literal offspring of God. This is only place in the bible this is mentioned, Paul is speaking to pagans who are idol worshipers. In Acts 17 Paul is NOT quoting the Bible but quoting one of their poets to prove a point to these idolaters. He was not explaining how God reproduced himself. v.27 so that they should seek the Lord, in the hope that they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us; for in Him we live and move and have our being, as also some of your own poets have said, 'For we are also His offspring.' “Therefore, since we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Divine Nature is like gold or silver or stone, something shaped by art and man's devising. Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent.” Consider the term mans devising. Paul is quoting their own poet For in you we live and move and have our being. (poem Cretica written by Epimenides (ca. 600 BCE) He is trying to find a place of commonality to philosophers as he is addressing their idolatry. Making the point that we are dependent on him for our life. Cilician poet Aratus (315-240 BCE): “It is with Zeus that every one of us in every way has to do, for we are also his offspring” (Phaenonlena 5). Paul is showing their own poets had some knowledge (though corrupted) of the God that they do not know. If he was saying their poet spoke truth as the bible truth then he would be endorsing Zeus, a false god, the very thing he was trying to prove to them is wrong. To identify God with something man has made, such as idolatry is ignorance (Rom. 1:22-23). To identify man with God, as becoming gods is equally wrong. It is here that we learn a good lesson of what NOT TO DO, we are to read the Bible in context not in piecemeal. If you do not know the context you cannot be accurate in dissecting the portions of Scripture. V.28 ‘For in him we live, and move, and have our being.” In other words, Paul is conveying that God is the source of our existence. What Paul did NOT mean is that we are all are Gods offspring. He is opposing the views of the Epicureans, citing their poets to embarrass them. Paul is making a case to seek the one we have dependence on, the God they do not know. What Kovacs is teaching is contrary to the Bible. You can’t be an offspring of God and also be adopted into his family at the same time. These are two very different concepts. It’s either or, not both. We are called the body of Christ, this does not mean Christ is adding us to his literal body and expanding. 1 Cor. 12:12-13 “For as the body is one and has many members, but all the members of that one body, being many, are one body, so also is Christ. For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body.” We are members spiritually united as he builds us into a holy temple. The fact that Kovacs cannot distinguish spiritual terms from literal is troubling. Just because you see the word children, or sons and daughters does not mean God is having an offspring to make us as himself. “Yes, we are made in God’s image, but the key to that quote is ‘Let US make man in OUR image.’ And what I’m trying to stress there is that God is a family of beings. It is more than one person. It comes from a Hebrew word, ‘Elohim,’ which literally means ‘the Mighty Ones,’ plural. The Mighty Ones said ‘Let Us make man in Our image.’” To say God is a family of beings makes him more than one being. God is one being and three in persons. Furthermore, Elohim does not mean mighty ones. El in Hebrew means God in the singular, im makes it a plural. When used for God it is intended as a uniplural, when used for other gods it’s just plural. He explains that when Jesus comes back then he raises us to be Elohim. But he also used Ps 82:6 where it says we are gods now. I can tell you without an equivocation that God is not making people into gods as Kovac interprets by Ps.82:6. He states “Many people call themselves Christian yet they do things antithetical to what the Bible teaches.” I can’ think of anything more antithetical to the Bible then telling people they are gods. It is used only once in the Old Testament and Jesus quoted this to the Pharisee’s who denied his rulership to make a point about himself, not them. “3 words of Jesus that most Christians don’t believe… y’know so many people can go to church years upon years and decades and never see or talk about these three words of Jesus. And they are mentioned in both the Old and new testament … and those there words… are spoken by the mouth of God almighty, Jesus Christ. Those three words are “you are gods” Jesus said it in psalm 82 point 6 and it was repeated in Jn.10:34. I have had people come up to me and say the bible doesn’t say you are gods. Well a matter of fact it does, twice. They all say you are gods, this is what we are. God is having children he is creating children of God He said you are gods, you are children of the most high.” (Remnant call Audio interview with Joe Kovacs “The Devil doesn’t want you to know the truth” http://www.blogtalkradio.com/theremnantcall/2017/10/20/the-devil-doesnt-want-you-to-know-the-truth-with-joe-kovacs) Now we have to take time to sort out this horrendous error. It first appeared by polytheist prophet named Joseph Smith who spoke on the plurality of Gods by making a mistake on Elohim. “You have got to learn how to be Gods yourselves” "First God himself, who sits enthroned in yonder heavens, is a man unto one of yourselves, that is the great secret." (King Follett discourse. Joseph Smith Jr. Times and Seasons vol.5 p.613, Aug.15 1844) Did Smith discover this great secret before Kovac, or did he discover the great lie? Second Mormon president Brigham Young, “We are created . . . to become Gods like unto our Father in heaven.” (Journal of Discourses, Vol. 3, page 93) The false new age Christ Maitreya says “May this manifestation lead you to see each other as the gods you are” (Maitreya Message 13 Feb. 1982)
John White a New Age "theologian” writes it “is not that Jesus was a human like us but rather that we are gods like him." "This is the secret of all ages and all spiritual traditions. An article in the New Age publication Science of Mind states, “The significance of incarnation and resurrection is not that Jesus was a human like us but rather that we are gods like him—or at least have the potential to be.” (Science of Mind (October 1981): 40–2. From For Many Shall Come in my Name (, 164 Ray Yungen). In another interview Kovacs explains “In Psalm 82 point 6 you are Gods so why are you getting on my case because I call myself the Son of God, Gods son. It already says you are gods so get with the program. People need to realize what kind of being they are.” “We are actual offspring of the divine creator of all things. The Bible calls us the offspring of God We are gods just like Jesus said twice.” (Remnant call Audio interview with Joe Kovacs “The Devil doesn’t want you to know the truth” http://www.blogtalkradio.com/theremnantcall/2017/10/20/the-devil-doesnt-want-you-to-know-the-truth-with-joe-kovacs) This appears to be Kovacs main message, to convince people of this “divine secret.” At this point in the interview the commentator sees the need to interject saying, “there is a difference between God and gods. That (Kovac) never said we are God.”Theres a little g.” (Audio interview the Devil doesn’t want you to know the truth interview) He’s not right either. This view has long been disqualified as an accurate interpretation of the bible and is used mostly by new agers, cults and ignorant men. Yes, you will hear this in some churches of the word faith persuasion. What’s the difference between Kovacs teaching and word faith teaching? Practically nothing, both are error at best and at worst it is heresy. This interpretation is rampant in the church, many are allowing misguided men to bring them in harmony with what the New Age has promoted all along. What Kovac’s is teaching is no divine secret and it is the opposite of what Jesus meant. So many have misused this Scripture to prove that the Bible actually tells us we are or can all become gods. If you become spirit (God is spirit), and become part of his family (God is a family) then it is understood by his further explanations that you become God. Polytheism is antithetical to Biblical Judaism and Christianity. God himself has stated “I am God, and there is no other” (Isa. 45:22). Not then, and not in the future. He says in the coming kingdom we will have “god like bodies because were are going to be members of the God family. “We will no longer be human beings but we will be among the eloheem of the Bible. The bible says we are all eloheem. We are all gods, children of the most high. That is psalm 82 point 6.”” Jesus quoted that in the New Testament. People forget Jesus already called us Gods…., Jesus said : “why are you getting on my case just because I call myself Gods son.”So the bible already tells us our divine destiny, that we are meant to be children of God. Sons of God….” (Palace radio Interview) underline mine Because this is said once in the Old Testament and repeated by Jesus is meaningless if it is not read in context. To understand this correctly we must go back to the original quote and read the context of the passage quoted by Jesus which is Psalm 82:1-8. “God stands in the congregation of the mighty; he judges among the gods. How long will you judge unjustly, and show partiality to the wicked? Selah. Defend the poor and fatherless; do justice to the afflicted and needy. Deliver the poor and needy; free them from the hand of the wicked. They do not know, nor do they understand; they walk about in darkness; all the foundations of the earth are unstable. I said, “You are gods, and all of you are children of the Most High. But you shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes.” Arise, O God, judge the earth; for You shall inherit all nations.” In its context it means something that is not as flattering or wonderful as Kovacs claims. This was addressed to the rulers of Israel. This term applied to man is mentioned only once in the Old Testament and it certainly is not what Kovacs thinks it is. Jesus who is the truth used it against a group of religious rulers who rebelled against him abusing their authority. These rulers were called gods not because they were divine but because they represented God to the people. The word elohim is used for false gods as well as the true God. It can be used for God, men and angels, but it is never used for man or the angels to imply they are God, or like him in His being or nature. For example Psalms 96:5 and Psalms 97:7 the "worthless idols" of the pagans are referred to as "elohim." In Ex. 7:1 Moses was made an Elohim to Pharaoh, as he believed in many gods in nature and that he too was a god. In fact when it used as a plural (gods) it is for false gods. Jesus call the rulers in Israel Elohim, "gods" (Jn. 10:34) Jesus quoted a portion of this Psalm, but the Pharisee’s knew the whole statement that Jesus used “gods” to describe them. The use of “gods” here is a title to show that they are representatives of God on Earth, they received His delegated authority. These judges of Israel represent God, They were to be serving God giving justice, showing God’s character and be just and fair in their judgment as magistrates. They would have decisions of life over death in some cases. This is why the word elohim is applied. in Psalm 82 God called the unrighteous judges of Israel “gods” (elohim). The Psalm Jesus is quoting is a put-down of corrupt judges and leaders who were abusing their authority and he uses it with irony. At the end of this discourse in the Psalm, because they neglect the people they rule over, because they are unfair in their judgment He tells them their end “But you shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes." This part Kovacs omits which the Pharisees knew of. That prince was more than likely a reference to Satan who rebelled against God. What Jesus meant is, this is what will happen to you because you were God representatives to rule over people fairly and failed, you will be judged severely. The Pharisees were blinded to who Jesus truly was and rebelled against him. Jesus in John 10 is mocking them as if to say, you're called gods yourselves (rulers) and rightly so (this is a tongue and cheek expression). But you do not recognize THE true God among you. http://www.letusreason.org/wf36.htm Jesus is telling them indirectly their end because of their denial of who he is. He is giving the spiritual meaning of his words Quoting Psalm 82, he is clearly not using it as a literal argument for men to be gods.. Ps.82:6. “This was addressed to the judges of Israel they were called gods not because they were divine but because they represented God when they judged the people and were misrepresenting God. Jesus’ point,” is intended to show that the idea of a communication of the divine majesty to human nature was by no means foreign to the revelations of the Old Testament” (New Commentary on the whole Bible, Jamieson, Fausset, and Brown). Are we to believe that New Agers, Mormons and occultists are all right and Christians are wrong? Let’s look further to see why Kovac’s interpretation which agrees with new agers is wrong. In Jn.10 is Jesus is NOT saying to them, I’m a god like you are a god? He is saying he is something they are not, he is one with the Father, and they understood it to mean he was God, that is why they accused him of blasphemy. Jesus then goes from speaking of them in the plural to himself in the singular, he asks is it blasphemy to call myself the Son of God. Jesus did not use this to point out that they are gods. but that he is God. Psalm 82 is not saying you too have the potential of becoming a god, for there is only one God who always existed. Besides, it says they are gods (now) not later. Are we to believe that Jesus did not teach there is one God but many? Let’s set the teaching straight in contradistinction to all those who teach this, this Scripture does not teach we are gods. Nowhere in Scripture is there a teaching of little gods along with a big God. It is always false Gods verses the true God. So in reality to claim man is to be a god is to put one in the category of a false God. Clearly Kovacs does not understand the nature of God when he teaches we will become him. Man was not made from God or of God, God gave man life he can never be god. Does God teach God made or can make other gods? In Psalm 86:10 “thou art God alone.” Or when he says in Isaiah 46:9 “For I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me.” Isa. 44:6: 'I am the First and I am the Last; besides Me there is no God.” God says there is no other like him – Kovacs says there (is) or will be. Contrary to this one time Kovacs has focused on Jesus saying this, God has spoken the opposite numerous times and numerous ways. God has told us, the one true God says he is unaware of any other god. Isaiah 45:6“I am the LORD, and there is no other.” Deut. 4:35 “To you it was shown, that you might know that the LORD Himself is God; there is none other besides Him.: God knows of no other V.39 “consider it in your heart, that the LORD Himself is God in heaven above and on the earth beneath; there is no other.” 1 Kings 8:60 “0’ that all the peoples of the earth may know that the LORD is God; there is no other.” He being the only God, is something affirmed over and over. Isa. 45:5 “I am the LORD, and there is no other; there is no God besides Me.” V.6 I am the LORD, and there is no other.” Isa 45:18"I am the LORD, and there is no other.” V.21 “And there is no other God besides Me, a just God and a Savior; there is none besides Me.” V.22 "Look to Me, and be saved, all you ends of the earth! For I am God, and there is no other." Isa 43:10-11 “understand that I am He. Before Me there was no God formed, nor shall there be after Me.” So we should understand God is not making other gods with a small g. Isa 46:9 “For I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like Me” emphasis on NONE! The creature cannot become the uncreated, the finite cannot become infinite. Since there is only one true God no one can ever be of the same kind as a creature created by God. This is a delusion of unprecedented proportions. To be a god even with a little g, it is the height of arrogance. It is the same sin in the beginning that caused Lucifer, the greatest creature God created to fall. Anyone who comes along and says you too will be as god is saying what the Devil said to Eve.Where does God say he will make his creatures gods? He doesn’t. The Devil does. That’s how he fell –by pride saying I will be like the Most High. Isa 14:14. In fact God directly addresses any who claim to be gods. Zeph. 2:11 “The LORD will be awesome to them, for He will reduce to nothing all the gods of the earth” All other gods other than the one true God are false. How so we know? God says so. There is only one true God who is forever God and there are no others after him or like him. Here's what the God of the Universe says in Jer.10:11: “The God’s that have not made heaven and earth will perish.” This means any gods that were not the creator will perish. Why? Because there is only one true God. God himself will remove all other gods which means that Kovacs explanation is not possible. in fact he is no longer teaching monotheism. God does not make other gods. Becoming a child of God does not have God calling you gods. Humans will stay human, there is no change of species. A species change from human to deity is a hardly an answer you will find in the Bible. If we become gods does our worship cease to God? Are we worshiped by angels and other humans? Of course not. If something is not seen in the book of Acts or taught in the epistles to the church, or spoken in the book with Prophecy (The revelation of Jesus Christ) then it is not to be considered as a doctrine. The gospel restores what man lost which is eternal life, it does not change him to be a god. When we consider who God is and understand the Scripture we know how far apart we as creatures are from the creator. He gave man the capacity to have a relationship to him, not become him.
