pt.2 A little Latter Rain or a lot?

The Lord trains us for ministry, he does not launch people into the deep ocean before they are good swimmers. There is an approval time, to see how we can be trusted and deal with people.

What is concerning is how he is applying Scripture to everyone listening.

"The only one that will limit you is you; God will not put the brakes on - God wants you to manifest him! All creation is groaning for you to manifest who you've been created to be! all creation. All creation is waiting for the sons of man to be made manifest! All creation is waiting for you! The police is waiting for you! The shopping malls are waiting for you!"

Beside's all the “you,” that’s not exactly what is said or meant by this verse. It becomes clear that Todd reading the Bible does not know how to interpret or apply certain scriptures, and this becomes especially crucial with those that have a futuristic application. He says he didn’t go anywhere to be schooled, educated ... God certainly did not teach him this error which is known as the manifest sons of God doctrine. He learned this interpretation somewhere.

Rom. 8:19-23 “For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God. For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it in hope; because the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. For we know that the whole creation groans and labors with birth pangs together until now. Not only that, but we also who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, eagerly waiting for the adoption, the redemption of our body.”

What is being said is not about an individual knowing who he is in Christ and manifesting this power and love he speaks of but the whole body of Christ being transformed from the body of sin into the new man that is glorified and sinless by the resurrection, as the last portion of this scripture indicates. It is about eternal life in the body.

Todd in one teaching says God told “me to pray for an impartation tonight,… to lay hands on you (there’s no such thing of transferring the anointing, he learned this from the latter rain meetings he is attending). You can’t ask for it if you’re not hungry, it’s no good. He wants to leave what is upon his life to be upon others.” So he offers more of him by an impartation. “God’s going to baptize people in fire.  “what would be like to go back and vibrate on your bed all night long because you can’t even talk.”  What would it be like to just shake and tremble on your bed with the fear of the lord upon your life…” (The fire of God will Cost you, but its worth it -video).

That not what the fear of the Lord is about, all these are examples of his wrong interpretation of Scripture that he is passing on to the youth along with his wrong application. If your shaking and trembling and cannot talk that is not God doing this. He even says the Holy Spirit will fill you, and possess you in such a beautiful way and you could never be embarrassed again. You sit in class, you tremble and shake and people get around you and say are you okay? They touch you, but aaah, in your classroom. That's where its at."

Are you experiencing this? Better take stock in what has happened to you. Parents be aware what meetings your children are attending, this kind of spiritual experience is not Biblical and is dangerous.

He makes statements of “would you consider helping us to empower a generation who will make this fiery supernatural lifestyle of Christianity a normal and daily experience?

The terms fiery and supernatural have been used by the other Todd (Bentley), so again he had to have heard this because the Bible does not describe Christian experiences in these terms.

As far as an impartation (latter Rain talk) Jesus is the baptizer not man.  Only God can give the Holy Spirit, so whatever White and others are passing on is not Him. Because you cannot received Him from man.

White he teaches the fire of God is the power of God (where is that taught in scripture?), he makes statements that sound right until one thinks it through biblically

He says, “The fire of God will cost you,” indeed it will. The same errors are repeated by White. This is a false anointing with false signs as it is with all the others before him. This is like the kundalini fire, because there is no fire baptism for believers. The Holy Spirit is living water. Don't let his enthusiasm and excitement allow his wrong interpretations to be accepted.

He says, "The fire of God on your life keeps you free" (no he who the Son sets free is free indeed, it’s not some extra experience). It’s not rebuking the devil that sets you free, it’s the truth that sets you free.” True, I agree. So why does he say something so different?

Let’s not to confuse the sensual with true spirituality. The Spirit that brings self - control demonstrates true spirituality. If you vibrate - can’t talk - shake and tremble and anything else like glued to the floor, that not self control, that’s not the Spirit.

Scripture says, it is the tares that are associated with the consummation (baptism) of fire. Matthew 3:10-11; Mk.9:43; John 15:6 (Ps. 21:8-9: 2 Thess.1:8; Revelation 14:10) There is ... one baptism” (Eph. 4:4-5) Spirit.

John 4:10-14 Jesus describes himself as living water, not fire. “the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life." John 7:38 "He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water." Fire does not flow out, unless you believe not as the Scripture has said. God likens the Holy Spirit to water

So as far as I'm concerned all this adds up to Todd White having the same false experience passed onto him by the same people that have been involved with this since the early 90's.

It also confirms he is part of the signs and wonders movement that is headed by false teachers, for their way is not biblical. Does God do healings, miracles, yes. But to say this is to be normal as he describes for this generation is a dangerous precedent. We have watched those who claimed this before him.

Todd White claims “we’ve seen the blind see, the deaf hear, the lame walk, the poor have the Gospel preached to them.  We’ve seen Hepatitis and AIDS completely crushed!”

So far I have seen a lot of leg lengthening on his videos. Apparently he thinks that most people’s back pain is caused by a shorter leg, that there is some great need when he goes to the street for foot lengthening (a manipulation technique which made W.V. Grant famous).

Up to 70 percent of people have legs that are slightly different in length. So for Todd to go up to people and say this is not a hit or miss.  Usually it’s less than a centimeter difference.  The larger length differences cause painful joint conditions, more often in the knee and hip. Severe hip and lower back pain, Sciatica, foot and ankle pain can result. Also fatigue where one needs to see a doctor. Besides surgery, doctors offer all kinds of heel lifts that can quickly alleviate the problem until one works on the cause which is often posture unless it’s a condition.

Leg length discrepancies, especially small ones, can only be accurately diagnosed with medical imaging. It is reckless for a healing evangelist who is not a doctor to tell someone their pain is from that one leg that is longer than the other, and tell them they are healed without having an official diagnosis or measurement with an xray or MRI and CT scan.  It’s not legs that need lengthening all the time but the hip and back that needs adjusting. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unequal_leg_length

I have watched him say God lengthened their legs and they gave their life to Jesus. What I do not see is the gospel spoken of which is the power to save, so what are they giving their life to?  In the videos I watched him say they are healed and they leave without the gospel given! Doesn’t he understand regeneration comes from being born again, which comes by accepting the gospel MESSAGE, there is no healing for salvation without the gospel.

Todd White speaks of how He would like to be on a plane where no one has anywhere to go …Where people have to surrender to the king, its called presence evangelism (there is no such thing in Scripture).  “Its because God’s presence in you is stronger than anything around you” (The fire of God will cost you video) underline mine. Evangelism is speaking the gospel, explaining it to those who do not understand their sinful condition and what it will bring!

Are we all apostles now? Can all heal?

Todd White apparently teaches that we all have apostolic power to heal anyone we pray for or command healing. The apostles lived out the life of Christ in them and did separate things that no Christian can do, that is why they were called “Apostles.” God does not entrust anyone with great power without their first being grounded in him. Considering this man claims such power and being used of God how does this justify his association with some of the worst false teachers on the planet, is he not aware of this? Does God not care about the truth? Did He not give us his word to prevent this

Paul writes of having the gifts of the Spirit1 Cor. 12:29-30 Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Are all workers of miracles? Do all have gifts of healings? Paul an apostle did not think all could.

Todd preaches we will do greater things (miracles and healings) citing Jn.14. Greater works is not greater miracles, it means a greater extension of ministry, to reach more people with the gospel. Not even the apostles who saw the most miracles did greater miracles than Jesus.  Who has done something greater than Jesus? No one EVER! And neither will Todd White.

Mk.16 is used by many to justify how we can all go miracles like the apostles. If we look at the book of Acts who was it that took up a serpent? Paul an apostle. Who laid hands on the sick and they recovered? The apostles. This was never a normal occurrence for everyone who was a Christian. When Dorcas died the believers did not raise her from the dead but sent for Peter to raise her (9:36-42). (Please do not be so foolish and say that they were not trained yet in raising the dead.)

We should not overlook that these verses begin  Mark 16:15"Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.

This shows that Mk.16:17 is not a promise that was being exercised to all believers. In fact Paul states “Truly the signs of an apostle were accomplished among you with all perseverance, in signs and wonders and mighty deeds” (2 Cor. 12:12). The sign of an apostle were the miracles done, this distinguished the apostles from the other believers. Acts 5:12 “And through the hands of the apostles many signs and wonders were done among the people.”

I know this is not accepted by those who listen to Todd or others involved but that is what the word confirms all through the book of Acts. Which is called the Acts of the Apostles, NOT the Acts of the Church.

He starts off  one message (after giving a 2 minute musical rendition c  "Christianity was never to be known by its doctrine but by it passion." This is patently false and dangerous to say for it contradicts the Bible (for those who care look at     1 Tim 4:16:; Eph.4:14; 2 Tim. 3:10; 2 Tim.4:3; 1Tim. 5:17 elders labor in word and doctrine. Titus 1:;21:1; and we are not teach beyond the word 1 Cor. 4:6.) There is so much much that speaks contrary to this.

John 7:16-17  Jesus spoke of his doctrine being of the Father "If anyone wants to do His will, he shall know concerning the doctrine, whether it is from God or whether I speak on My own authority."

Doctrine is teaching, Todd is teaching. The question is what is he teaching? 1 Tim 4:6 If you instruct the brethren in these things, you will be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished in the words of faith and of the good doctrine which you have carefully followed..” What things? What Paul has written, the teachings from the apostles for the church.

1 Tim 1:3 Paul admonished the church to “teach no other doctrine” teaching Christianity is not known by doctrine is exactly what he said not to do. 1 Tim 4:16“Take heed to yourself and to the doctrine. Continue in them, for in doing this you will save both yourself and those who hear you.”

What Todd is trying to do is find his own niche for HIS message. Denying doctrine, which must be every believers foundation makes one open to false teaching. How can they know they are walking with Jesus in truth and doping his will without doctrine?
Rom 16:17 Now I urge you, brethren, note those who cause divisions and offenses, contrary to the doctrine which you learned, and avoid them."

You will know what they are about by their associations.

Who are Todd Whites trainers and mentors?

Todd White is affiliated with Neck Ministries who have ties with the Bethel Church in Redding, Pastor Bill Johnson; He was trained in “Bethel Church” Johnson is the most provocative latter rain teachers in our day. Johnson affirms that Jesus was fully man on earth not fully God and man in one person.  Bill Johnson teaches that there was a time when Jesus was just a man, and needed to be anointed with the Holy Spirit.  This is an ancient church error (see www.letusreason.org/Biblexp62.htm)

If God uses those who are wrong on the nature of Christ and the incarnation (like Johnson like Rodney Browne). Than one can certainly make the case about God not caring about any doctrine he delivered to us by the Holy Spirit; then nothing matters!

The Bethel influence is found in Whites statements like “The only closed heaven is between our ears, folks!” Implying there is an open heaven that Bill Johnson speaks of. Todd White Speaks of things birthed in you (carrying heaven)” "Jesus didn't pay just the price to get you to Heaven. He paid a price to get Heaven inside of you." The Holy Spirit who is God indwells us, not heaven. Heaven is a place where God lives and rules.

This is nothing to squint at. He is friends with some of the most harmful false teachers, Patricia King, Promotes Bob Jones, Speaks well of Heidi Baker as doing a great work (she too got the same baptism that White got). He teaches at Randy Clark’s Global School of SuperNatural Ministry.   Todd is associated with CFAN (Reinhard Bonnke) for years. Bonnke is the one who gave a fake unsubstantiated story of a resurrection years ago that was so obviously false it was mind numbing that people believed it(www.letusreason.org/popteac13.htm)

Being like Jesus also means not compromising - not accepting false teaching or befriend and learn from false teachers, not hanging out with them! It’s not just about having power to love others. When you start with practical Christianity, by building on the right foundation everything falls in place.

Todd White at Rhema Bible church “step into your calling.” He gives honor to the Hagin’s, he is impressed and speaks of their 225 schools (which he never attended). He has been to this  word faith church more than once.

Says he wants to “share a whole bunch of stuff with you” How about the word, respect it? Todd states “we can call things into being things that aren’t as though they are (Todd white and the amputee CBN video).  Exactly the theme of Kenneth Hagin’s Rhema church word faith teaching. You can’t tell me he did not learn this from some word faith teacher because the Bible says clearly this ability is reserved for God ONLY, the creator. So his statements that he learns from the Father in the secret place is not applicable to this and other statements he makes. White saying he only learns from God is absurd. He is learning from the meetings he is attending. He may think it is God but if he checked his Bible as he claims to be so proficient in, he would know it is not.

Speaks favorably of T.L. Osbourne (who endorsed Branham), He read his book and wonders if I’m even saved? He refers to Smith Wigglesworth saying, you “couldn’t be in the same room with that man praying lest you were gonna die… that’s my longing, that’s my desire.” For someone who says he does not go to Bible school or college he sure drops a lot of names that are more than questionable. Which shows a lack of grounding in Bible doctrine.

These references should have any believer who holds to the Scripture to be very concerned

Healing or the gospel, which comes first?

Todd White in an interview with Pat King speaks of on his way to get sushi tells a girl on the street shes got back pain because of a short leg, commands the leg to grow and Wallah!.. everywhere we go this stuff is waiting to happen” Pat king responds, “ God’s waiting for us to activate him.”

Todd continually speaks of stuff ... God does not do “stuff,” we accumulate “stuff.” Statements like doing “stuff” is so disrespectful, we don’t do “stuff.”

On the street of Las Vegas commands for a skateboarders thumb to be healed, convinced he is healed, then prays for peace for him and asks for the Holy Spirit to come as he lays hands on his chest.  Says “he’s already there, asks the lord for more right now.” lays hands on another’s chest asking for the Holy Spirit to come. In the end we see Todd singing while the one  whose thumb was healed is playing guitar and says this is the gospel  (Todd White: Healing on the Streets of Vegas CBN.com)

This is his presence evangelism, transferring the Holy Spirit to unbelievers. It may be the gospel to him but it is not the gospel found in 1 Cor.15:1-4.

His Las Vegas video put out by CBN (an embarrassment), he says “you can call things into being, things that aren’t as though they are” and then proceeds to heal another mans short leg (well not really if you keep an eye on the background, nothing happened.) “right leg I command you to grow (its already longer than the left in the video before the healing). Maybe he should have shortened it, or lengthened the other leg (street healing with amputee CBN video).

If we find his leg lengthening did not take place when in fact he says it did, does this not challenge his other miracles claims?

One girl with a kidney stone he has woman friend lay her hands on her stomach and he lays his hand on hers and commands the kidney stones to be removed. Then tells her you should be feeling a warmth. At the end the woman laughs little and the camera is turned off. This shows nothing except that Todd commanded a healing. It has you assume it happened.

At the end of the video Todd tries to heal a man with no legs, but after he commands them to grow, no healing take place and no limbs grow back it then switches to Todd telling us “I’ve seen legs grow out What I have never seen is leg grow out from a stump!” Then tells us God said we will do greater things. So what he is saying is that God can lengthen legs but make a new one is not possible yet, Why? The answer is obvious the power of god is not there - therefore the greater things are not yet seen. (Todd White and the Amputee - CBN.com)

In some of the videos he refers to himself, yet at the same time saying it’s all Jesus? Then shifts to talk all about us, all the stuff we're supposed to be doing, all the great things you can do. The emphasis is on healing, it should instead be on Jesus and the presentation of the gospel, not power of God through us (assuming that it is). So what are they learning? How to heal by him going to the streets and demonstrating leg lengthening? The gospel is the power of God. What’s the sense of demonstrating by a camera this power to heal but you cannot give the power to save? (I do not see Todd in the videos saying that Jesus saves, the emphasis is on healing). Are they learning about the nature of God, of Jesus? Does anyone teach the core doctrines to have one grounded?

His message has a non emphasis on sin which is then is not focused on the gospel, the solution for sin. what about their name written in the book of life. Maybe if he offered the gospel other than physical healing.

UNDERSTAND… We are sent to give a message and if God wills, signs will follow. It’s not signs first. If its signs first to the unbelievers you are disobedient to God.

We are to speak his word, I don’t see Todd giving God's word in these videos, only a promise to be healed and in Jesus name. Speaking of Jesus, saying his name is not the gospel message. All through the book of Acts the apostles and others preached the gospel. From what I have watched on numerous videos, it’s just not there. He walks around with a camera and then tells us it’s not about him? How much footage has been discarded only he knows.

Todd is not showing they are condemned and need salvation, he is offering a physical remedy that is temporary. Thanks for the healing and they walk away. Maybe some of these people will think of Jesus later, maybe not.

The Spirit points us to Jesus and the word. The Holy Spirit lifts up Jesus, not us.

When miracles were done Scripture records those that were beyond doctors and medicine.

Everyone who was healed believed in Jesus before or immediately after.  (mostly before)

In his video ad “Schools of power and love” they claim once they know who they are they can pray for the sick and they will recover.  When someone “boasts” you can heal everyone, it is “flattering” them. To make miracles a common result because we go into action on the street is absurd. Read your Bibles, none of the apostles spoke or acted like this. One needs to check the Scripture carefully to see if what is being taught about healing is actually what the bible teaches. Because the majority of the time it is not. So it is with Todd White, as it is with Bill Johnson, as it is with Randy Clark, as it is with Rodney Browne.

If they do not believe Jesus is God in the flesh than how is God doing such great miracles by them?

Jesus healed everyone that asked Him, (and it was not leg lengthening.) We find no instance of the sick being brought before Jesus whom he did not heal. These people believed in God, they heard of the Messiah. In Matthew 15:30 when Jesus went up a mountain to get away. The people found him, and the multitudes climbed up the mountain and brought the sick, the lame, blind, maimed and mute to him. He healed them. No one left. Everyone Jesus WILLED to be healed was healed. This is the basis for a healing from a biblical frame of reference. Sometimes Jesus healed by his will, other times he required faith (especially after Israel’s rejection found in Mt. 12)

Mark 6:5-6 Now He could do no mighty work there, except that He laid His hands on a few sick people and healed them. And He marveled because of their unbelief. "

Paul tells us he was not healed. 2 Corinthians 12:9-10. in his FLESH he had a PHYSICAL infirmity and Jesus said NO to his request for healing three times. What matters is that the Lord answered NO to Paul. So to answer the question, does God want to heal everybody all the time? Paul was not healed.

He may say some practical things that are correct but there are other statements that are VERY incorrect that nullify what is said that is true. Whatever good one sees him doing, there are accompanying problems that do damage.

A few of Todd’s One liners that devalue scripture:

Speaking of Jesus like those in the New age movement, “Jesus burning in us like fire consumes me… we want to burn for you,… burn with you.”

“It is out of intimacy that we destroy the works of the devil.” The bible says it was Jesus that destroyed the devils works (sin), by the His death and resurrection, so he could transfer us into God’s kingdom.  (I Jn. 3:8-10)

Says “Joseph came out of prison with the purity of the gospel!” Really, before it was even known or accomplished? (The fire of God will cost you but it’s worth it! video)

So much more can be said on what he is currently teaching and doing.

Clearly Todd has a zeal to do God's will. True Believers are constantly growing in their Knowledge of the Scriptures so there is hope that White will conform to a more  sound view, abandoning the false teachers he is learning and associating with. Yes, there is a price to pay, he may lose many of his outlets for ministry but he will have gained walking in the truth. If he continues with these men influencing him, and learning from them he will end up like so many before him, and that would be a shame.
