The new move of the Spirit to bring Kingdom now --and they do mean NOW! Bill Hamon explains the “1980’s had a prophetic movement. 1990’s apostolic movement. And now in the year 2000 we’re trying to establish the prophet and apostolic around the world.” This will bring about the many membered prophetic movement.. The only many membered prophet movement mentioned in Scripture is a warning from Jesus “Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many” (Mt. 24:11). So Jesus in the last days is not doing any such thing as Hamon is doing. Hamon is one of the few directly associated with the original Latter Rain movement of the 40’s and 50’, he sees nothing wrong with it; that is why he is actively promoting it. Hamon became involved in the movement after it was pronounced Heresy by AoG in the late 40’s as they rejected the idea that the Church is built on present-day apostles and prophets. In the late 80's and early 90’s it resurged through the Vineyard churches when the Kansas City prophet movement introduced it. It is now reincorporated under a more influential leadership of Peter Wagner (who was good friends with John Wimber) and Chuck Peirce. Anit is being transmitted to good Bible churches transforming them into their new apostolic church model. Hamon says of Wagner “… Peter Wagner and several other ministers in the United States are saying we won’t recognize the 21st Century Church compared to what we are today. Amen? The last day apostles and prophets that are alive today is going to take the Church through the transition from the dispensation of grace to the dispensation of the Kingdom, from the dispensation of the mortal Church to the dispensation of the immortal Church” (Transcript of Bill Hamon at ‘New Life Church’ Nov.13, 1997, entitled “Battle of The Brides”) Here we have Hamon explaining his the Manifest Sons of God doctrine is to be accomplished by the apostles and prophets of our day. So we can see it is mandatory for it to be in position for their ends times model to take place. At “International Gathering of Apostles and Prophets” in October 1999 “Hamon ... began by proposing that we are in the throws of not just “renewal”; not just “revival”; not just a “new awakening”; but a “third apostolic reformation”. The first was when Jesus appeared on the earth. Major foundational changes occurred at that time; changes in the religious structure, changes in how we relate to God, changes in the rise and fall of nations, changes in the social, economic and political climate, changes in virtually every area of significance. “…with the birthing of the prophetic movement in 1988, he believes we began the third apostolic reformation. We are seeing prophets and apostles coming forth for a strategic reason. ….We are being positioned to lay new foundations for a new era all together, foundations for the dawning of a new kingdom age.” “We are preparing to move into the age of Kingdom rule and dominion where Christ Himself, and we His saints, with Him, will rule and reign IN THE EARTH. …So God is raising up apostles and prophets who are speaking some new and radical things; are setting the stage; are laying new foundations for a new era. Not just patching up what is already existing, but preparing the church for a new dispensation! … We are about to move from the dispensation of grace to the dispensation of dominion. We are about to see Jesus, not as the suffering lamb that was slain, but the roaring Lion who is King!” (Underline mine) This is Hamon’s message and method is kingdom now, it is instigated by new apostles and prophets to empower the saints to become an army. According to Hamon, Christians will move in government, in education and in the marketplace like Daniel and Joseph, in key places at key times. “Christian businessmen will see this move as not another way to get rich, but as a way to demonstrate the Kingdom of God on earth. They will be salt and light.” He believes that some business people will have daily staff times to train their people in the principles of God. “God is getting ready to invade the earth. According to Daniel 7:18, 22, 27, the saints will take the Kingdom.” He can say this without any challenge because he is working with Ed Silvoso who under Peter Wagner’s apostolic network is promoting the church invading the marketplace, education and governments. "When all five ministries have come together, we will relate together and equip the saints," Hamon declares. "Then we will see the 'saints movement' and they can go forth and compel people to believe with supernatural signs." (Apostles, Prophets, and the Ministry of the Saints By The 700 Club)Bill Hamon explains this teaching in his 1997 book Apostles, Prophets and the Coming Moves of God (foreword by C. Peter Wagner and endorsements by Oral Roberts, Cindy Jacobs and others). These manifested sons of God will emerge “in one generation” displaying all kinds of “signs, wonders and miracles” (Apostles, Prophets, p 11,13) Hamon: “The company of prophets will help restore the apostles back into their rightful place in the church. The full restoration of apostles and prophets back into the church will bring divine order, unity, purity, and maturity to the corporate Body of Christ.” (Prophets and Personal Prophecy, God’s Prophetic Voice Today” p. 53 by Bishop Bill Hamon, Destiny Image Press, 1987). If this all sounds familiar, it is…. this is the same thing we heard from the Kansas City prophets like Bob Jones, Mike Bickle and Paul Cain that were welcomed into the Vineyard church by Wimber. An they are all colleagues in this Latter Rain aggression. Teaching men and women to be prophets and prophecy Bill Hamon describes: “We developed a manual for ministering spiritual gifts to teach, train, activate, mentor and mature and now we have trained over thirty eight thousand individuals in six continents of the world, nine thousand leaders and over a thousand prophets and prophetic ministers have been raised up and are now prophesying and flowing like a river…. Now, you see I could take this group right here and take trainers and in one week I could every one of you flowing like a river in the prophetic. We’ve done it with thousands” (National School of The Prophets Mobilizing The Prophetic Office Bill Hamon 5/12/00). Nearly every prophet God chose had a hard time accepting the call; but today everyone is signing up and taking classes from the new prophets. When Moses was commission he argued back, “O Lord, please send someone else to do it” (Exodus 4:13-14). When Jeremiah was picked he complained “Then said: ‘Ah, Lord GOD! Behold, I cannot speak, for I am a youth” (Jer. 1:6). Not so any longer… Hamon has had his own school of prophets for many years (here in Hawaii they are affiliated with Grace Bible church). But he was not the first in modern times; Joseph Smith, who started the Mormons was. He had Lectures on Faith that was delivered to his School of the Prophets in 1834 and that worked out so well, didn’t it. To say Bill Hamon has been active in promoting the concept of restoring the office of prophet would be an understatement. He holds what he calls “Schools of the Prophets” throughout the world inviting people to come and learn and develop their prophetic gift and calling. Hamon carries with him a 5 and inch binder filled with all of the personal prophecies he has received over the last 30 years (Peter Wagner does the same). Hamon states there are “1500 pages of personal prophesy, actually thousands of people that have prophesied over me, less than one half of one percent was off, or weird or I had to throw out… Less of one half of one percent. And about the only ones I had to throw out was those that came up at some of our conferences to try to straighten me out with “Thus saith the Lord.” And prophesy from their doctrine. And I’ve only thrown out about three personal prophesies that I’ve received” (National School of The Prophets, Mobilizing The Prophetic Office, Bill Hamon (5/12/00) This would make them over 99% right by his own predilection, not 65% like Bickle, Jones or Joyner are currently espousing. Either way its not 100% right, which makes it 100% wrong. Bill Hamon explains: “The prophet who misses it occasionally in his prophecies may be ignorant, immature, or presumptuous, or he may be ministering with too much zeal and too little wisdom and anointing. But this does not prove him a false prophet. It is certainly possible for a true prophet to be inaccurate.” He would not do it knowingly, for a true prophet is so conscientious he would rather never speak at all than speak even one false word or give wrong direction to even one person. So we must understand the distinction between a false prophecy and a false prophet if we are to be open to what God says. One of the quickest ways to get into trouble with God is to accuse one of Christ's prophets falsely. When we do that, we are touching the very nerve of heaven, and we are sure to receive a very negative reaction. God says in His word, 'Do my prophets no harm.' “(Bill Hamon. Prophets and Personal Prophecy). (underline mine) How about do my church no harm! True prophets speak true prophecy, there are no “oops, or I missed it again.” There is no learning curve for any prophet, otherwise we cannot trust the prophecies of the Bible for being 100% accurate. Hamon says: “Church prophets function in all the ministries of the Old Testament prophets, as well as the New Testament gift of the prophet standing in the role of Christ, the Prophet.” (“Prophets and Personal Prophecy God’s Prophetic Voice Today p. 52). Okay, so then did Christ speak inaccurately on prophecy or doctrine? did any prophet? Singing Prophet Kim Clement (who received his calling through Hamon) also agrees, “You can be a wrong prophet and not be a false prophet, somebody can make a mistake with doctrine...” Clement complains that teachers who got their prophecy teachings are not held as accountable as those who prophecy are. “Now they were forgiven, but a prophet makes a mistake and he’s a false prophet and we must stone the guy right away he’s right out. Well this there’s that aspect of it, I could have made a mistake, let me tell you something you can.” (interview on TBN - on video) Prophesying is not the same as someone teaching about prophecy. If one makes a mistake in prophesying then they are not speaking for the Lord, he’s not involved.God said of the false prophets to Jeremiah, “I have not sent them or spoken to them.” and God calls being wrong false. So how do we know when a prophet is speaking for God? One of the ways that is often rejected is, “When a prophet speaks in the name of the LORD, if the thing does not happen or come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD has not spoken; the prophet has spoken it presumptuously; you shall not be afraid of him” (Deuteronomy 18:21-22). If a prophecy from a prophet failed to come to pass, the people were told to no longer pay attention to him and rid them-selves of that prophet. You are not God’s prophet by getting a good percentage right, but by getting it ALL right. God is never inaccurate, that is why we are told his Word is absolute TRUTH. Micaiah the prophet said to Ahab heading to battle in 1 Kings 22:28 they would be slain and declared, “If you ever return safely, the Lord has not spoken through me.” If what they say does not come to pass it because it is not from God, its not complicated to understand. The Lord says “I declared the former things long ago and they went forth from My mouth, and I proclaimed them. Suddenly I acted, and they came to pass” (Isaiah 48:3). “I am the Lord, who has made all things, who alone stretched out the heavens, who spread out the earth by myself, who foils the signs of false prophets...who carries out the words of his servants and fulfills the predictions of his messengers” (Isaiah 44:24-26). But Hamon and others want us to listen to their fresh words over God's ancient word. “It is not His [God's] will that any minister or Christian walk short of present truth, but thousands do so daily. … We must be established in all presently restored truth and actively promote the unity of the Body of Christ.” (“Church, p. 316) Does new revelation promote unity or sever the spiritual unity in Christ? On 1Chron. 12:32 children of Issachar: “several times through in my life I have had prophets prophesy to me not only the office of prophet and apostleship of the anointing of God but they have spoken over and over again the anointing of the tribe of Issachar was upon us to know the times and what Gods people ought to do.” Hamon reads 1 Thess. 5:1: “everyone say times and seasons, this is the message tonight I want to share with you, God’s time and seasons. God’s Visitations and end time purpose for this day and hour. Now for the times and seasons brethren… they shall not escape. Now go back and read v.2 with me again and will jump to v.4. We know that he comes as a thief in the night but he will not overtake those walking in present truth by surprise. Because v.5 says we are children of light, children of the day we are not of the night nor of darkness. Therefore let us not sleep as some of the other church folks are doing let us watch and be sober,… for God has not appointed us to wrath but to obtain this great manifestation, deliverance, this great salvation, this great revelation, this great demonstration that God is about to reveal and manifest through our lord Jesus Christ in this last day and hour. So God has not appointed us to wrath but be a demonstration of Gods victory and God’s power” (Joshua Generation Grace Bible Church,1992) He is speaking of the manifest sons of God. Established in restored truth means being in unity with Hamon's teachings which are the Latter Rain Movement, which is in unity with Peter Wagner's prophet movement. Here are some of the new revelations he has as he speaks out of
his own doctrine:
“The Holy Spirit must be allowed to deliver us from self-righteous,
narrow-minded, argumentative attitudes. We must allow Him to deliver us from the
theological and philosophical reasons which we have used with pet Scriptures to
justify our divisive, exclusive, and separatist actions and attitudes. We have
slipped by in times past and God has winked at our ignorance and immaturity, but
not any more. God is demanding
manhood of his ministers. Many will become sickly and
die an early death because they
will not rightly discern the Body of Christ, nor work for its unity.”
(“Eternal Church” pp. 315-316) It is God’s work to mature us (Phil.1:6), he does not demand or threaten us with early death if we do not unite with these men. Paul did not ignore theological error but directly addressed Peter, the Galatian church and Corinthian church. Paul loved these people and would not allow the error they were embracing to be ignored, he opposed it and corrected them. In fact in Acts 17:121 Paul called the Bereans more noble than others because they searched the Scripture to see if what he (Paul) taught was correct. What would happen to the church today if we operated in this same manner? A united front is a core doctrine of the Latter Rain. Hamon
explains, “Unity will bring about the resurrection life and result in the
immortalization of the Church.” (“Eternal Church” p. 332) This unity is based on present truth: “It is not His [God's] will that any minister or Christian walk short of present truth, but thousands do so daily. True unified fellowship is based on our fellowship with the Father and His Son, and walking in the light as He is in the light. We must be established in all presently restored truth and actively promote the unity of the Body of Christ.” (“Church, p. 316) (underline mine) This is the same spiel that the older Latter Rain promoters used; such as O.L. Jaggers who said: “In Ephesians Chapter 3, it will give us an explanation of why I call these revelations, and why I say that God is, constantly revealing His Word and giving us new truths. “The next question was directed toward the Apostle Peter. 'What,' He was asked, 'will be the consummation of the present age and the dawn of the new epoch?' Peter looked hopefully toward the rising sun and then he answered. He said, 'I confidently expect a fresh untainted atmosphere and a renovated Earth in which justice and fair dealing is established. This,' he added, 'is according to the promise of the Lord. 'This,' Jesus said, 'would come when our inherited authority to personally use that great atomic or deific force hath been taught and demonstrated to all the people of all the nations of the earth.' “ Jesus, as we all know, has taught and demonstrated that great force to each one of us. It was this force with which He raised Lazarus from the dead. With this authority over this mighty force, Jesus was enabled to heal the sick, the crippled and the blind. He told each one of us that every individual has inherited this authority to use this heavenly power just the same as Jesus did” When I asked Jesus why I was not able to do the same work that He was doing while He was in the world, Jesus answered me and said it was because I prayed too little and ate too much” (The kingdom of God O.L Jaggers). They saw the power often as a force and this instruction is right out of the book they all read by Franklin Hall “Atomic Power With God Through Prayer and Fasting.” From Jagger we have the same intent that we see today in Hamon and others; new truths, an explosion of power and a refashioned earth by the saints. It’s all the same message echoed from the Latter Rain. But it is no longer called the Latter Rain , it is called THE THIRD WAVE. Prophets INC.- The prophetic movement of Elijah, Joel, Daniel etc.
