There are those who deviate from being accurate in doctrine and take advantage of the sheep. The distinction of those who teach things contrary on purpose or those who teach by mistake are known because the latter repents.

Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed (perish) for lack of knowledge ." Here God is referring to what they should learn from the Scripture from the priests and the prophets. They will be destroyed spiritually first. Israel's lessons are ours to learn and correct if we listen.

Today, the knowledge of God in is in a closed book to some, but it can be opened at any time and applied to change their conditions. One needs courage to do this and if prevented, resisted by those who oppose the them, they need to stand on the truth.

Doesn’t Paul say knowledge “Knowledge puffs up, but love edifies.” This should not be used for someone to have no knowledge and to keep themselves ignorant. (In this incident he is speaking of dealing with unbelievers i.e. both idols and food.)

Yes, knowledge can puff up if it is not accompanied with grace. Pride can set in and make someone think they are so important that they are indispensable. Paul who had a deeper knowledge of the gospel (by his own experience) was assured to be kept humble. He was prevented by the Lord from being puffed up

2 Cor. 12:7” And lest I should be exalted above measure by the abundance of the revelations, a thorn in the flesh was given to me, a messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I be exalted above measure.”

 Knowledge that comes from outside of the word Paul specifically says not to learn, he uses both Apollos and himself as the example, that you may learn in us not to think beyond what is written, that none of you may be puffed up on behalf of one against the other” (1 Cor. 4:6). He gives another example of false humility and worship of angels, intruding into those things which he has not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind (Col. 2:18). A third example is used to avoid putting a novice in a leadership position, “lest being puffed up with pride he fall into the same condemnation as the devil” (1 Tim. 3:6.

Considering that a large portion of what the church is being taught today is not from the Bible but their own experiences that have no connection to the word (though they try to adjust the word to their revelation), it is either coming from their own imagination or a lying spirits. Should we not be on guard and test what we hear if the pastors do not?  

The Berean’s were called more noble for looking to the scriptures to test teachings they heard from an apostle. What are we to call those who refuse to test teachings over the pulpit and prevent others from doing so?

A church that is fed the truth will speak the truth. A Barna poll in 2009 records in the church one in three 'Christians' says 'Jesus sinned.' One would think that at this point in time we would have the basics under our belt. Only sinner’s sin. This needs to be corrected immediately lest we find ourselves in the new age camp of Jesus being only an enlightened teacher.

Another similar position that has been popularized is that Christ put an end to sin for believers, there is no more sin; we do not sin. This is based on a wrong interpretation of 1 John 3;9, That we are no longer sinners because God calls us saints. John wrote prior to this statement that if you say you have no sin you call God a liar. That’s serious!

Too many believe in slogans that are not doctrine “by his stripes I am healed,” they decree what you speak is what you will have Based on Jesus stating if you say to this mountain, 'Be removed and be cast into the sea,' it will be done. "And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive."(Matt 21:21-22) This is not instructing you to just have some faith speak. When was the last mountain you have seen thrown in the sea? Jesus was speaking of removing obstacles and he instructed us to pray. Which means we are trusting God for both the result and the timing. Without the larger picture of the context one cannot get the details right. 

Today they call it faith when it is not faith but positive thinking.They have turned faith into a power that is wielded by our own desires, that is not Christianity that is sorcery.

Another trend is that we can do greater miracles than Jesus because it says greater works than these you will do. Even if one ignores the apostles as his audience (which proved they did the miracles recorded by scripture.) This must be understood with other statements.

Luke 7:28 "For I say to you, among those born of women there is not a greater prophet than John the Baptist; but he who is least in the kingdom of God is greater than he."

The question to be answered is how we are greater, John is the greater prophet because he introduced the messiah to Israel while the other prophets spoke of him. So how are we greater than John? Jesus qualified this by saying, "Most assuredly, I say to you, a servant is not greater than his master; nor is he who is sent greater than he who sent him” (John 13:16)

John 14:12-14 "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father."And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son." If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.

Those who regularly get new revelation and reinterpret doctrine in the word intentionally ignore the scripture to protect themselves in a pastors Job or ministry to make merchandise of you (2 Pt.2) Those who are deceived by Satan’s pride are using the words from the Bible, twist the Scripture to boost their ministries effectiveness for the image they present . . . Watch out for Pastors that pursue the office as a job and not a calling to serve people. You will know them by their (genuine) humility, not their boasting. They will help you away from the error and care for you as part of the family.

We will not be destroyed by outside influences like those in other religions who kill the body but from within, by wolves that make disciples after themselves by their new revelations; Yes they have changed the course of Christianity just as they have boasted.

Confusion is present in the church today because what was once taught is no longer taught, Many have no grounding in the basics of New Testament teaching, in fact they do not know the differences of the covenants.  Furthermore they do not know how to read to develop a theological construct to understand the meaning. Even common sense is no longer common, and biblical sense is more rare than finding a Bible when it was outlawed by the Roman Catholic church.

Because many lack spiritual knowledge from Scripture and they are susceptible to new knowledge, that is not from God, but from men’s imagination and the demonic. Which takes them away from whatever they have left from the Scripture. What they lack in spiritual knowledge of Scripture they replace by a gnostic knowledge directly from a voice that they assume is the Spirit. They present what they hear as if it is God giving them new revelation.

We are to consistently stay in the truth (The Word) to be qualified to present the truth to others, this means we will constantly be battling against sin and error in our own lives. If you are not resisting the flood of falsehood that is knocking on your door of your heart to come in, then you must have already opened the door. There is no neutral ground anymore at this point in time. But how can we resist falsehood if we do not know the truth?

2 Pet 3:16-18 Peter says of Paul speaking in them of these things, in which are some things hard to understand, which untaught and unstable people twist to their own destruction, as they do also the rest of the Scriptures. You therefore, beloved, since you know this beforehand, beware lest you also fall from your own steadfastness, being led away with the error of the wicked; but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory”

 The bible is not to be treated like another book. It’s a living word, eternal, absolute truth. It is not like the words of men, Jesus said my word is spirit and it is life.

Many people cannot think past the outer ear; as Jesus said it is for those who have ears to hear, those who not only hear the words but accept them and let them sink into their spirit.

False teachers have their loyal sympathizers, some are more vocal than those whose who expose them. These loyalists love the personality, promises and power. They are attached to the hip for better or worse. For better: they are promised the same anointing and will share in the benefits if they contribute money to their cause (which make the teacher rich and famous). For worse, because they will receive the same judgment by supporting their efforts to undermine the cause of Christ with their own agendas in the “name of Christ.” 2 Peter.2

 But don’t look at any of this as being wrong or it will make your heart grieve and we are not to have any negativity in our lives. Just be positive, march as army with your heads in the sand and your feet in cement. They boast of the 7 mountain plan. Not to be concerned, the Dominionists will lead the way to earthly victory, follow the leaders who call that call themselves GENERALS (just as they did in Jesus’ day.)

What is the sound an ostrich makes? If for some reason your head looks up, quickly bring it down to earth again, it’s safer not to see, not to hear and not to speak. So we race to the finish, its neck to neck don’t bite your fingernails in anticipation, we know the remnant will reach the finish line. The rest of the professing church, which is Laodicea has their own opinion on whose winning the race.  Not a beep from sheep as they are taught to ignore it all, replaced by God only wants to bless you. Forget that it says he chastens his own, those sheep who wander off. If you’re not chastened for doing wrong are you a sheep?

 Many of these so called public leaders of the church do not know what Christianity is about. Their message has become join the flock, when it should be follow the shepherd (Jesus) that leads the flock.

How can they follow Christ when they are not gospel centered they refuse to address sin, they do not stand up for the truth when it is challenged. Love to them is keeping quiet when falsehood and evil are present. They don’t believe in judgment but only love, they rationalize everything they do as God approved.

John 10:10 “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy.” 

Is your pastor protecting you from false teaching or promoting it? You do have a right to question anything and anyone, don’t let them bully you. It’s for you own soul and others safety.

The church has become a sanctuary for criminals of doctrine. Those who doctrinally impaired should not be given the pulpit. We need to take the church back, which means to publically reject the false teachers who have become rich off the backs of their naïve donors. Truth holders get away from the liars, it’s  liars that stay with the liars.

What kind of person does not want to help others when they are hurting or abused and prevent others from being wrong? One those whose love has grown cold. Lets not be spiritual zombies. We are to defend the weak and this does not mean physically weak but the weak in faith those who are downtrodden and influenced in the wrong direction!

As we see these things escalate we must stay faithful in God’s word those who are appointed to be teachers feed the people so they are healthy and can get through the times of trouble that are to increase.
