Adam’s Sin made you a sinner An explanation of why we need the GospelRom 5:12 “Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin. All die because all sin (Rom.3:23). All sin because they have the nature of fallen Adam. Paul further elucidates in v.18-19 says, "through one man's trespass, judgment came to all men, for by one man's disobedience all were made sinners." ALL were made sinners by Adam. We are all born with a built-in death warrant, which is our sin nature, because we have inherited this sin nature from Adam we are already born spiritually dead (separated from God)and die physically. 1 Cor. 15:22: “For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall be made alive.” We are all already condemned according to Jesus and that we must believe to be saved from this condemnation. John 3:1 b “but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” Just as Paul states in Rom 5:16 “And the gift is not like that which came through the one who sinned. For the judgment which came from one offense resulted in condemnation, “ This is basic Christianity drawn from the Bible. Man is fallen, sinful and needs redemption. Not by doing good but by a change of their human nature that only the savior can give. When people say there is no sin nature they are saying we are all born sinless like Jesus and then one day decide to sin for whatever reason. This is why Jesus was born of a virgin, to bypass the human way of conception and not have sin passed on to his humanity. This is why everyone must be born again in their spirit. Ps 51:5 “Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, and in sin my mother conceived me.” Jesus was not brought forth in iniquity because he had no human father and the Holy Spirit gave life to Mary’s womb and protected him (Mt.1:18; Lk.1:35) No one can point to one person who does not sin, even a child? Many who profess Christ do not accept this nor understand this because they: 1) have been taught wrong on this subject. 2) don't want to accept the Bibles teaching that mankind is not born good, or sinless, but sinful. All of nature teaches this (Rom.8:19-21), and this is the Biblical worldview that sets it apart from all the other religions. Without this basic understanding of man’s nature one cannot believe the gospel. |
