An Overview of The 7th Seals and the Trumpets of the Tribulation We read in Isa.28:14-15 that a covenant is made to guarantee security to Israel. It will be a fraud. Gods perspective of this covenant, he calls it a covenant of death and hell. What Israel thought was best for their security turns out to be their worst nightmare. Vs.16 tells us what happens to those who do not go along with it. Vs.19 a covenant for security vs.20 gives an illustration of non security and no comfort (too short a bed and blanket) vs.21-22 God’s strange work and act a decree of destruction on the whole earth The Bible teaches that the tribulation is a time where a process of preparation for Israel's restoration is underway. It will occur by conversion (Deut. 4:29-30; Jer. 30:3-11; Zech. 12:10). It is not the "time of the Church's trouble," but the "time of Jacob's trouble." Rev.5-6 the seals are broken because of the signing of the covenant. Isa. 28 coincides with Daniel 9:27 “And he shall confirm the covenant with many for ONE WEEK : and in the MIDST of the WEEK he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate." We further read how he came to make the covenant and what will take place in Dan. 11:21-22 "he shall come in peaceably, and seize the kingdom by intrigue. With the force of a flood they shall be swept away from before him and be broken, and also the prince of the covenant." Seal Judgments: Rev.6:1-1st Seal: White horse (Antichrist/ false prophet) is loosed to conquer Rev.6:3-2nd Seal: Wars on earth Rev.6:5-3rd Seal: Worldwide economic troubles Rev.6:7-4th Seal: Death released. 1/4 of the world’s population to die by plagues, disease, and beasts of the earth. Rev.6:9-5th Seal: Massive Persecution and mass killing of God's people worldwide Rev.6:12-6th Seal: Massive earthquake Rev.7:2-7th Seal: Silence in heaven before the 7 trumpet judgments The scene opens with the seven angels that stand before God in Heaven. Revelation 8:2 states: “And I saw the seven angels that stand before God; and there were given unto them seven trumpets.” The bible says in Rev. 8:2 “When He opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven for about half an hour. And I saw the seven angels who stand before God, and to them were given seven trumpets. V.6 “So the seven angels who had the seven trumpets prepared themselves to sound.” Rev 9:14-15: “saying to the sixth angel who had the trumpet, “Release the four angels who are bound at the great river Euphrates.” So the four angels, who had been prepared for the hour and day and month and year, were released to kill a third of mankind.” Judgments on mankind are released with the third as its motif. Rev.8:7-1st Trumpet: Hail, fire, and blood. 1/3 all the grass and trees burned up Rev.8:8 -2nd Trumpet: A Great mountain hits sea. 1/3 all ocean becomes blood. 1/3 all sea life dies and 1/3 all ships destroyed. Rev.8:10-11 3rd Trumpet: Wormwood star hits earth. 1/3 of the freshwater poisoned. Rev.8:12-4th Trumpet: 1/3 of sun and moon are darkened These trumpets target a third, as God is giving mankind mercy to repent before the 5th trumpet that begin the 3 woes which are worst trumpet judgments. Rev. 9:1 5th Trumpet (which is the first woe): “Then the fifth angel sounded: And I saw a star fallen from heaven to the earth. There is torment to those without the seal of God for five months. Rev.9:13-6th Trumpet: demons released and 200 million eastern army kills 1/3 of the world's population. Rev 10:7 but in the days of the sounding of the seventh angel, when he is about to sound, the mystery of God would be finished. The seventh trumpeting angel (the one spoken of in Revelation 10) does not actually sound his trumpet until Revelation 11:15: “Then the seventh angel blew his trumpet, and there were loud voices in heaven, saying,“The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ, and he shall reign forever and ever.” Scripture says the mystery that was spoken to the prophets would be complete. It is the little book (scroll) that deals with the mystery. With the blowing of seventh trumpet, the mystery of God is finished. That Mystery has to do the salvation of mankind, both Jews and Gentiles. The seventh trumpet contains the seven Bowl Judgments. The bowl judgements finish the mystery. This is a process of judgments, just as the seventh seal is the process of the seven Trumpet Judgments, the seventh trumpet is the process of the seven Bowl Judgments. The little scroll is information regarding the seventh Trumpet Judgment and the subsequent Bowl Judgments. The 7th seal contains contain the 7 trumpet judgments, 6 of them occur in chapter 8-9 the 7th is in chapter 11 of Revelation. The 7th seal bring opened is a process of the 7 trumpets being blown, and the 7th trumpet releases the 7 bowl judgments. The 7th trumpet contains the 7 bowl judgments which are the wrath of God. In the day is a time period not a single day, a process of when the mystery of God is finished by this series of judgments. It directly affects those who took the mark of the beast (from chapter 13) and the kingdom of the Antichrists rule. With the 7 bowl judgments it is declared it is finished (Rev.11:17-21). This is the future for the world, and yet Jesus spoke for us to be prepared. Luke 21:36 “Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.” The Son of man is in heaven. |
