The day of the Lord is coming, it is then the last great revival will occur

The sequence of events that occurs during the reserved 70^th week of Daniel

We hear from many that the Latter Rain is being poured out on the Church today; this is what is why there is no revival. This is large mistake, because their timing of this event is wrong. Because of this there is no genuine revival in the land. A true revival can only be based on true preaching of the Word, with accuracy and repentance.

Are we due for a revival, I would say overdue but this does not mean a worldwide revival will take place, for God said he will send a strong delusion, not a strong revival.

In 1 Thessalonians 5:2, 3 we read, "For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape ."

This Scripture passage does NOT speak of a rapture; but of the terrible Day of the Lord when the wrath of God and his judgments will be poured out upon the earth because mankind rejected his son and Gods ways. It will come upon them without warning, as it did in the days of Noah. It is clear from Zechariah 14:1-4 that The Day of the Lord includes the time when Jesus Christ has the angels send judgments and in the end will remove the Antichrist and judge the nations. from 2nd Peter 3:10-12 that The Day of the Lord (the Day of God) will include the renovating of the earth with fire at the end of the Millennial Period. Thus, The Day of the Lord is literally referring to a span of at least 1,000 years.

Rom 1:25 “ who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator . Here Paul speaks of them believing the lie, that a creature (specifically Satan, who is the head of the fallen angels) will be worshiped as God in the end times before the return of the true God man Jesus Christ.

Paul pens the prophecy of the Day of Christ returning with a caveat: 2 Thess. 2:3-7 “ Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God. Do you not remember that when I was still with you I told you these things? And now you know what is restraining, that he may be revealed in his own time. “

First comes antichrist on earth before the true Christ (Jesus returns).

In the Old Testament God says Hosea 5:15 “I will return again to My place Till they acknowledge their offense .Then they will seek My face; In their affliction they will earnestly seek Me.’ (see Mk.11:9; Mt.23:39)

This refers to Jesus who said you will not see me again until they cry out for him. The tribulation is known as the great affliction upon the world specifically Israel. The word for Tribulation (thilipsis in Greek), means pressure, affliction, the word great (Greek-mega) means large.

Luke 13:34-35 “ O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her brood under her wings, but you were not willing! See! Your house is left to you desolate; and assuredly, I say to you, you shall not see Me until the time comes when you say, 'Blessed is He who comes in the name of the LORD !'"

Ps 103:19 "the LORD has established His throne in heaven, And His kingdom rules over all.”’ Even when it looks like the enemy has control he does not. For God is moving us along to the fulfillment of his Word.

When the Antichrist comes to his time to have power, he will deceive the entire world by his seemingly ‘good intentions’ and by using satanic wisdom and empowered false signs and wonders (2 Thess. 2:1-12), which his followers will produce also, they will look like the authentic thing. For those who do not exercise discernment from the Word they will not be able to distinguish them and be deceived. God does not send a strong revival, we are told God sends a strong delusion to those who reject the truth. “ God will send them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie” (v. 11), because “they refused the love of the truth that would have saved them” and “have disbelieved the truth and delighted in wickedness” (vs. 10, 12). The strong delusion can be tailored to each person’s personal pursuit for self.

It is at this time satan is confined to the earth (Rev.12:1-6) and begins his annihilation of Gods people without restraint

The Word also warns that at a certain point in the tribulation period all who are believers are being heavily persecuted. We read of the people of the world being forced to receive a mark to live in the new socialist order and the believers are being hunted and eliminated.

The “abomination of desolation,” according to Mt.24:15, will be set up in the middle of the Tribulation in the newly built temple in Israel. This abomination is some type an idol, the image of the Antichrist who claims to be God, described in Revelation, chapter 13 (technology may well have something to do withy this). We are not to make any image of God, the abominations are first being spread in the temple. Jesus spoke of this in Matt 24:15-16" Therefore when you see the 'abomination of desolation,' spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place" (whoever reads, let him understand), then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.” They are to flee immediately to be safe.

This is the midpoint of the Tribulation some call the last 3 ½ years the “great tribulation.” Matthew 24:15-28 is a description of the second half of the Tribulation.

The one that makes desolate is the Antichrist, who will cause desolations to fall upon the Jewish people. The word abominations in Hebrew is ‘shik-koots’, which means disgusting, i.e. filthy is in reference to “images” or “idols,” Which god forbids to be used. The meaning: that an image of the Antichrist will be set up in the Temple. This is also spoken of in Daniel 12:11 and Matthew 24:5. The image itself is spoken of in Revelation 13:14-15. Again technology may have something to do with it speaking.

He (the man of sin) will set up for himself a throne in the Holy place of the temple and an idol and he will sit down in this place.

Matt 24:21-22 “ For then there will be great tribulation , such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be. And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect's sake those days will be shortened.”

The Saints are being killed all through the Tribulation, from beginning to end. The Great Tribulation will end when Israel's rebellion against God ends. According to Daniel 9:24, Israel will not stop its rebellion against God until the 70th week is completed ("to finish the transgression") the word translated "transgress “meaning to rebel).' In other words, Israel's rebellion will end then the 70th Week, for the nation will repent collectively and cry out for the lord to return.

The elect are those saints who go through the Tribulation. The chronological order of the events that occur during the Tribulation is explained symbolically in Revelation, chapters 6, 8, 9, and 16. These judgments increase in intensity as they progress toward their culmination when Christ appears to all coming in glory to establish His kingdom.

Revelation 12:6, 14 " And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent." the Jews who are not for the covenant of death (Isa.28:15,18) that is made with their people by the prince who shall come (Dan.9:26) flee into the wilderness at this time, to the place that is prepared by God (Mt. 24:15), others who do not will be persecuted to death.

Israel does not trust in God for their protection, they choose to make this false covenant their ‘hiding place’ for protection, which does not work.

Isa. 28:14-15 “ Therefore hear the word of the LORD, you scornful men, Who rule this people who are in Jerusalem, Because you have said, "We have made a covenant with death, And with Sheol we are in agreement. When the overflowing scourge passes through, It will not come to us, For we have made lies our refuge, And under falsehood we have hidden ourselves."

2 Thess. 2:4-5 This man of sin “ who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God .

This occurs in the middle of the tribulation where his authority becomes fierce and merciless. " And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty [and] two months ." (Rv. 13:5) that is 3 ½ years until the end.

We read of those in heaven, Rv. 6:10-11 “ And they cried with a loud voice, saying, "How long, O Lord, holy and true, until You judge and avenge our blood on those who dwell on the earth?" Then a white robe was given to each of them; and it was said to them that they should rest a little while longer, until both the number of their fellow servants and their brethren, who would be killed as they were, was completed.”

Zech.13:8 1/3^rd survives the tribulation, 2/3rds do not because they chose to follow the false Christ and his covenant.

After the marriage of the Lamb takes place in heaven, which is when all the church is gathered together. Rv. 19:8-10 “ And to her it was granted to be arrayed in fine linen, clean and bright, for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints . Then he said to me, "Write: 'Blessed are those who are called to the marriage supper of the Lamb!'"

The marriage of the lamb takes place in heaven, the marriage supper takes place on earth where all the saints of the ages are gathered together in fellowship. The marriage feast takes place on earth after the Second Coming (We the church come back with him.) The Kingdom (the Millennium) begins with the marriage feast as the Old Testament saints and the Church are gathered together.

In Mt.24:29-31 we see that, at the conclusion of the Tribulation, there will be a total blackout of the heavenly bodies. Then the only light that is seen will appear, it is the sign of the Son of man coming to earth with his Church and angels. At that time He will also gather up His elect who have survived from the four corners of the earth.

It is at the end of the Tribulation Christ comes in his Father’s glory and power. When He does, He sends forth His angels to gather from the four winds, from one end of the earth to the other, to gather all of His people, they are the Tribulation saints. Those who turned to the Lord during the Tribulation, who did not take the mark and survived the judgments of the Tribulation period.

Rev 16:16 “ And they gathered them together to the place called in Hebrew, Armageddon .”

What is armageddon

While most identify it as the apocalypse, the end of the world, in actuality it is Jesus returning to save the world from the wicked one who is ruling over them and destroying him with his servants of evil.

Jer. 25: 33 “The LORD will roar from on high, And utter His voice from His holy habitation; He will roar mightily against His fold. He will give a shout, as those who tread the grapes, Against all the inhabitants of the earth. A noise will come to the ends of the earth--For the LORD has a controversy with the nations ;He will plead His case with all flesh. He will give those who are wicked to the sword,' says the LORD." Thus says the LORD of hosts: "Behold, disaster shall go forth From nation to nation, And a great whirlwind shall be raised up From the farthest parts of the earth. 3 "And at that day the slain of the LORD shall be from one end of the earth even to the other end of the earth. They shall not be lamented, or gathered, or buried; they shall become refuse on the ground.

Jer 46:28 Do not fear, O Jacob My servant," says the LORD," For I am with you; For I will make a complete end of all the nations To which I have driven you, But I will not make a complete end of you. I will rightly correct you, For I will not leave you wholly unpunished."

He, the true messiah (Jesus) comes to establish His world-wide reign of righteousness. He then removes all the evil ones off the earth.

2 Thess. 1:7-10 “and to give you who are troubled rest with us when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with His mighty angels, in flaming fire taking vengeance on those who do not know God, and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. These shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power, when He comes, in that Day, to be glorified in His saints and to be admired among all those who believe”

2 Thess. 2:8 “And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming.’

Both the antichrist, who is the false messiah and his followers from the nations will be dealt with at Christs coming in the valley of Megiddo where they are gathered. Rv.19:11-15 “ Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war. His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns. He had a name written that no one knew except Himself. He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God. And the armies in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, followed Him on white horses. Now out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it He should strike the nations. And He Himself will rule them with a rod of iron. He Himself treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.”

This ends the rule of sinful man and his government (not governments), then 'the government' will be the reality for all, where it will rest upon his (Jesus’) shoulder (Isa.9:6) and he will rule mankind with a rod of Iron from Jerusalem. (Ps.2:9; Rv.2:27, 19:15) and he shall reign forever and ever .
