How do we tell if someone is a false prophet?

Among the many topics found in Jeremiah’s book, we see a battle of a true prophet against the abundance of false ones in the land that had misled the majority of people.

Jeremiah 23:14: “ Also I have seen a horrible thing in the prophets of Jerusalem…They also strengthen the hands of evildoers, so that no one turns back from his wickedness ...” Vv.20-22: “ The anger of the LORD will not turn back against these false prophets until he has performed and carried out the purposes of His heart. In the latter days you will understand it perfectly. I have not sent these prophets, yet they ran. I have not spoken to them, yet they prophesied. But if they had stood in My counsel, and had caused My people to hear My words, then they would have turned them from their evil way and from the evil of their doings .”

Jeremiah saw this take place with Israel but today many in the Church are in denial of deception affecting the Church in any way. They are denying Jesus’ own words, that deception would take place through false teachers and prophets inside the Church at the end of the age (Matthew 24:4-5, 11, 24). We are in the latter days; do we understand it perfectly? Daniel wrote of these days " Many shall be purified, made white, and refined, but the wicked shall do wickedly; and none of the wicked shall understand, but the wise shall understand ” (12:10)

We are told the beginning of knowledge and wisdom is to fear God (Prov.1:7; 9:10)

If someone makes the claim they are a prophet, and sets up a framework that we are to listen to them (their words) as a or THE prophet, and say that if we do not listen to them we are disobedient to God. That is often a telltale sign something is not right. If they put pressure on the people to believe their words like they believe the Bibles words than you can be assured they are a false prophet and teacher.

The principle that came from Isaiah the prophet is “ If they do not speak according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.” (Isa 8:20-21)

You can’t in all honesty say the Bibles words and then change the Bibles words or add to them what you say you heard God say as prophetic. You will find them using methods and tools from outside the Bible to interpret the Word.

You can’t refer to the Bible saying this or saying that and then depart from its words and change them, add to them, something we are told not to do. In Revelation when it says not to add to this books words, (22:18) it also carries the meaning of not going beyond the last book of the Bible written by an apostle who closed the canon of Scripture.

We should know not to make our words the Lord’s words. The Bible speaks, warns of adding words beyond the last book, the completed revelation as if they are from God.

But People can believe their own lies, they convince themselves that they are specially appointed as a prophet. William Branham is a lucid example. They hide themselves behind what is the truth and not allow you to see what they really are.

How do they do this? By reading the word, and then departing in their message to their own words of prophecy and interpretation.

Had a dream lately well you can easily find one to interpret it these days. In fact if you go to enough interpreters you can pick out the interpretation you like best. If you follow your dreams you had better be sure they are aligned with Gods word and will, if not your dream can turn into a nightmare.

We are told by God to test all things. No one buys a used car or a house without first inspecting it, why do we accept these teacher’s new interpretations or new visions and dreams without any scrutiny? Don’t be fooled by their paid for titles of doctor or minister, some of them called a doctor need a doctor. Time to wake up from the dream they gave you and see things for the way they really are, not the way someone told you they are.

In retrospect one cannot dial back their predictions. Time is always the enemy of a false prophet. If you are around long enough you will know if what they said was accurate or not. Many websites bring you the daily news of what is taking place forcing it to match the Bible. No question there are some things that do match, but there are too many things that do not. They are always quick to react to make their points that “this is that which is written.” Much ends up to be prognostication by assumption and uneducated guess

Some prophecy come to them by the words formed in their alphabet soup, others try and use the Bible. Take for example the blood moons prophecies. Prophecy must match perfectly in how it is written for us to say it is a genuine fulfillment.

The conditions for the blood moon (singular) takes place the seven-year Tribulation period with a darkened sun. Because they have ignored the timing and the place of occurrence it proves them to be wrong no matter what they say. Do they stop? Not a chance! In fact they have dug in further showing utter disregard for the Scripture and the truth.

Much of this is documented on false prophet depot. No, this is not store but a web outlet named after a Biblical prophet who spoke against the false worship of false gods (somewhat ironic). Obviously the message has not trickled down. “The Elijah list” is like the daily horoscope for Christians who go there every day to hear from a so called modern day prophet. But they never listen to the prophets that God put in the Bible. For if they did they would know not to listen to these self- proclaimed prophets of our day.

If they say

How can anyone with even a modicum of Bible knowledge and understanding say man is created as a god or can become God; whom always exists?

True teachers do not distort core doctrines. If they teach wrong they will prophesy wrong.

They convince you they are spiritual men with spiritual minds, anointed by God, but what they really are is elitists. They live in houses that most hard working people can’t afford, they own jets, they wear the best suits and shoes and it all comes from their tithers who have been convinced to whole heartedly believe them.

I’m not saying they need to dress as John the Baptizer, though it would be beneficial for all if they were put out into the wilderness away from TV and radio. But there is something very wrong with people who continue to prop up this kind of religiosity and call it Christianity.

What is false is well funded and advertised. Competition in the real world (secular) would respond in kind, the church seems to think people have enough sense to see through it all, but they don’t. Some of it is so shrewd that only the trained can see the flaws.

Rules for the non - discerning

First and foremost: Don’t ever judge a teaching, even if you feel totally uncomfortable with it, stay loyal to the person instead of accepting the fact that the teacher can be wrong. After this the next rule is to blame the person that is pointing the wrong out, show your passion and enthusiasm against them.

The false prophets shame you for discerning but there is no shame found in their teaching falsely! Discerning means your guard is up and you want truth, not error. The more we know the Scripture, the harder it is for the deceivers to take advantage.

Satan has many Firebrands In the fire

Prophet Janal Browne from Barbados began his Prophetic walk began when he had a visitation by the holy spirit many years ago and the lord spoke to him concerning Ezekiel 2 & 3 and God gave him the mandate and scroll to go and spread the gospel to the Nations, that is the gospel of prosperity.

In one service According to him every person in the audience was standing next to a millionaire.

That means everyone present was a millionaire.
The Miracle Healing Services are held every other Saturday evenings, miracles, debt cancellations, bills miraculously paid off, supernatural oil and crystals appearing in the hands of people in these Miracle Services including the disappearance of cysts, fibroids and lumps blind eyes and deaf ears opened huge sums of money, million’s US have come in. This all sounds familiar like… Benny Hinn. It should, he is involved.

Evangelist Benny Hinn in 2013 at the Hasely Crawford Stadium, Trinidad & Tobago called out Prophet Janal & Lady Victoria from 17,000 people to the stage where he prophesied that Prophet Janal Browne will be one of the most accurate and influential Prophets in the world when it comes to prophecy, they will have the revival and the miracle power of God. Pastor Benny prophesied that Prophet Janal Browne will walk in a similar anointing as Prophet William Marrion Branham. Benny Hinn prophesied and commissioned Prophet Janal and Lady Victoria to go forth to nations preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ. That is all one needs to know to understand one false prophet endorsing another.

Prophet William Branham was one of the most influential false prophets and teachers of our time. He is considered to be the initiator of the healing revivals that began in 1947. So for Hinn to say this says much more than he can imagine.

Most accurate prophet? If you know the Bible then you know there are no inaccurate prophets except false ones, nor those more accurate. The hype is tremendous as they present stories that are not verified.

To make it even more clear, Prophet Janal & Lady Victoria were prophesied to in the American airlines Arena in Miami by Apostle Guillermo Maldonado (Another false prophet), founder of King Jesus International Ministry in Miami, Florida-Apostle Maldonado prophesied that Prophet Janal and Lady Victoria will walk in the shekinah Glory where many signs and wonders will take place wherever they go around the world. Sure, just like the apostles and prophets that were alive with Jesus.

I have a had a number of people write me who prophesied of what was to take place and I ask them will they publicly repent when found to be wrong, They say I won’t have to I’m not wrong. 6 months go by and their prophecy was wrong and I have written them back to have them acknowledge they were wrong. They never respond because of pride holds them from repenting.

2 Cor. 11:13-15 for such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into apostles of Christ. And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also transform themselves into ministers of righteousness , whose end will be according to their works.”

Just to go back a few years.

Numerous news sources reported on Christian numerologist David Meade, a self-proclaimed “researcher,” predicting that a series of apocalyptic events will begin on Sept. 23 and, “a major part of the world will not be the same.”

David Meade, a theoretician and researcher, told The Washington Post that an astronomical event will occur September 23, 2017, and it will lead to Earth’s destruction. He explained that his reasoning is because of several Bible verses and a series of numerical codes

First there is no such thing a Christian numerologist; How do I know this, I found this out by doing biblical numerology (only kiddin’). Meade is another acrostic prognosticator that discovers the secret themes and dates by math in the Bible, not unlike those who do bible codes. The Bible was written in words we can understand, God did not outline secrets to be discovered by fringe theoreticians at the end of the age. This mentality of discovering secrets is becoming cultic and can be occultic! Does anyone read the Bible on this subject or are they are flying in cloud 9 with their instrument panel broken? The Lord spoke in words we can all understand. It is written.

According to Meade, the rogue planet Nibiru, called Planet X, is on a collision course with Earth, which will bring world-ending tsunamis and earthquakes. Nibiru was first mentioned in 1976 by author Zecharia Sitchin in his book The 12th Planet. One can hear his past interviews on the Art Bell program Coast to coast.

The numerologist claims the dates of recent events like the Great American Solar Eclipse and Hurricane Harvey’s flooding of Texas were all marked in the Bible. Meade now says his “Planet X theory” lines up with more bible codes and ancient markers on the Egyptian pyramids.

When the trumpet judgments of Revelation begin to appear, we don’t know the exact sequence or what countries or people will be primarily affected.”

Supposedly the book of Revelation can’t take place the way it was written, the judgments affect us all over the world.

Meade has said It is possible at the end of October 2017 we may be about to enter into the 7-year Tribulation period, to be followed by a Millennium of peace

The Nibiru conspiracy theory has had a life of its own for years. A 2012 statement by national geographic. NASA called anything involving Nibiru as being a “hoax

If Nibiru or Planet X were real and headed for an encounter with the Earth … astronomers would have been tracking it for at least the past decade, and it would be visible by now to the naked eye. All the hoopla on what’s to take place https://youtu.be/LZIpIi9CnGo

Meade “He says in his book, right after the initial solar flare risk I see the Rapture of the true Church .

Okay, … and what about the false church that tells us how the rapture will occur.

Does Planet X signals the rapture? Or does believing in planet X diminish intellectual and biblical sensibility? Is Planet X populated by nation Z?

What’s the difference between fact finding, or fantasy dreaming. It shows people can believe nearly anything today and actually think it’s true.

And the prophecies of the rapture are numerous by others. They all, ALL fail!

These pathetic postulations are by people who crave attention. And the people that immediately listen to them are looking for sci-fi realities in the Bible.

According to Gary Ray , a writer with Unsealed, a Christian publication is with the constellation Virgo, which represents a woman. The solar eclipse is foretelling the rapture…

The constellation Virgo — representing the woman — will be clothed in sunlight, in a position that is over the moon and under nine stars and three planets. The planet Jupiter, which will have been inside Virgo — in her womb, in Ray’s interpretation — will move out of Virgo, as if she is giving birth.

We have many, not a few mixing astrology with the Bible (as other methods in the occult are also being used),

two eclipses that are slated to travel across the United States in 2017 and 2024, together marking an X across the nation, could be the starting and ending signs bookmarking a seven-year period of awful tribulations that Revelations says…

All they have done is make a mockery of prophecy and have misrepresented the Lord who spoke truth. Astrology with Christianity? Just like William Branham did.

What kind of Christian actually believes this stuff? Those who have an inclination to believe anything. It is those who have no grounding in the Scripture, that are unable to make sense of the literal interpretation. The make the literal symbolic, spiritualize word and metaphors and use the worlds ways to interpret what may be plainly written or is interpreted by Scripture itself.

Have we forgotten December 21, 2012, the end according to the Mayan calendar. They were so sure and what happened? NOTHING! It is the same inside the church that listen to mens prophecy interpretations. the concept of an apocalypse attracts everyone, welcome to the new age movement  way of interpreting the signs in the skies…

Here’s a sign for all to see, the apostasy, where people leave the word and their faith is in ruins. Which we are seeing by the very ones who are telling us about all these signs the Bible says nothing about.
