The pantheistic revelation of the new age movement Throughout history people using all kinds of means have had perception change, call it a paradigm shift or a revelation. They see everything as one, the oneness of life invades their thinking it is a very powerful paradigm. “This universal "I" includes not only every person, but also every thing (e.g., soil, wooden boards, raindrops). As one NDEr puts it, "we are all part of one big, living universe.... I look at a forest or a flower or a bird now, and say, 'That is me, part of me. ("Raymond moody and Paul Perry The light beyond p.42) “I walked out into the field out into the meadow and the hayland, where the hay had been freshly cut climbed up upon a sack of hay lying there flat on my back dreaming. Watching the wildlife, the swan, the Cranes, the Geese, the Ducks all winding their way to the northland, to their home breeding ground. And I remember the thought came to me what guides those birds back to the same place that their parents had deposited the eggs from they came. What is it that will cause them in the fall to come back to the Wintry quarters? “There was a question in my mind. Has man lost something that the birds have? From that moment on I began to think and feel and endeavor to interpret the meaning of nature. It became a part of me I began to realize that I was a product of nature. Not something … setting aside on the mountain the high spot to judge the rest of the animals on the earth. “For I too was product of nature perhaps no better than the old cow on the hillside. Being a product of nature it behooved me to cooperate with nature.” (audio of Shaklee's leader banquet Minneapolis in 1971). Forrest Shaklee had a pantheistic experience of oneness that changed his worldview and his place in it. Like so many others before him he came to a understanding of the interconnectedness of all because all is one. E.Tolle "In most ancient cultures, people believed that everything, even so-called inanimate objects [e.g., "housing, clothes, furniture, tools, transportation"], had an indwelling spirit, and in this respect they were closer to the truth than we are today" (p. 37). “We are coming to the end not only of mythologies but also of ideologies and believe system. … At the heart of the new consciousness lies the transcendence of thought.” – p. 21 a new earth Tolle) Marilyn Furgueson stated in her “Aquarian Conspiracy” she sees human kind embedded in nature. On p. 19, In her book “Positive Magic: Occult Self- Help”, by Marion Weinstein, She says, "The Age of Aquarius is when we are all supposed to come to the understanding that man is God. As one New Age writer put it, 'A major theme of Aquarius is that God is within. The goal in the Age of Aquarius will be how to bring this idea into meaningful reality. Well Body, Well Earth details the steps one needs to have a pantheistic experience of consciousness (deep breathing, relaxation and autosuggestions) to "the level of consciousness" where "you can be in touch with those forces in the universe that. . . encourage health and wellbeing.” Here in a trance state, you are ready to visualize the creation of the universe - even to have a dialogue with Mother Earth herself. The cosmology (the nature of the world and universe) of the NAM is pantheistic, which means that everything that exists is of one essence, and that one essence is God. So all the universe is God expressed in a different form of that same essence (energy, consciousness, power, love. Force Some Kabbalists believe everything created including minerals, plants, animals, not just humans, has a Christ within. This inner Christ is what is known as a “divine spark” better known as panentheism (God is in all). This “god” is described as immanent (within all) and is also transcendent, as an energy it is impersonal. The only difference between an ant and a human would be consciousness, since we are all equal as God. This is what Pierre Teilhard de Chardin concluded “ What I am proposing to do is to narrow that gap between pantheism and Christianity by bringing out what one might call the Christian soul of Pantheism or the pantheist aspect of Christianity. (p. 56) From the most distant origin of things until their unforseeable consummation, through the countless convulsions of boundless space, the whole nature is slowly and irresistibly undergoing the supreme consecration. Fundamentally — since all time and for ever — but one single thing is being made in creation: the body of Christ. (pp. 74-75) “. . . I can be saved only by becoming one with the universe.” (Christianity and Evolution by Pierre Teilhard de Chardin, p. 128) Synthesis is a term describing the hour we live in. Today we have a mystical awakening that is taking place all over the world and it is even inside some of the Christian Churches, certainly not of the Scripture. Because the God of Scripture existed before creation and did not put himself in creation. Swami Nirmalananda Giri states: In the second chapter of the Bhagavad Gita Krishna tells Arjuna: "There was never a time when I did not exist, nor you, nor any of these kings. … we are eternal beings, without beginning and without end. Originally we were sparks or points of conscious light in the infinite Ocean of Conscious Light that is God. We were gods with God. We are gods within God, finite spirits within the Infinite Spirit. But what is "spirit"? Yoga tells us that spirit is consciousness, hence we are eternal consciousness.” This could very well be the origin of Gnosticism which certainly can be found in a rudimentary form From ancient Babylon. So where is this headed? If we are all one then we must love the creation as we love humanity, our ourselves. “In the late twentieth century there is a growing awareness that we are doomed as a species and planet unless we have a radical change of consciousness. The reemergence of the Goddess is becoming the symbol and metaphor for this transformation...[and] has led to a new earth-based spirituality." (Elinor Gadon, The Once and Future Goddess) You must remember the Earth. I would even say that the word "global education" and the word "global citizens" . . . I'm almost tempted to change the words and to replace them by "Earth education" and by "Earth citizen" . . . we are children of the Sun and we are children of the Earth . . . . You can be the caretakers and the saviors of the world . . . everyday remember your Mother Earth .... Do not forget it that from now on you have to be Earth citizens, you have to be the children of Mother Earth.” (Robert Mueller, speech addressed to the Global Citizenship 2000 Youth Congress, April 5, 1997) This is headed toward not only earth worship but worship of all things, which is what always happens when one refuses to acknowledge the true God and the way He has revealed himself. Rom. 1:25 “who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator,” creature is also interpreted as creation itself, as v:23-24 states, “and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man--and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things.” So what are the repercussions of this philosophy of pantheism. First, it means there is not judgment coming from God, after all you are God. Second, it means that your value as a human being just went down to be the same as a flower or a rock. Third, this means that our knowledge throughout history is all wrong, that we should not have to learn the way we have since what we learn takes us away from a view of oneness with creation. Then we should not try to stop a flood, or look at disasters from nature as harmful, but that the universal intelligence is at work correcting what humans have done. Isn’t this like the messages we are already hearing from Gaia worshipers/ earth based spirituality. This should be considered as this is being promulgated through the schools reeducation to be global citizens.
