God is love and he is also just You will not find a large amount of fairness or justice in this world that is ruined by sin. But God is perfectly just and good. Ps. 97:2 Righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne." Yet people do not like to hear of God’s justice because they know what that means to them, for they are without the savior. Instead People acknowledge only his love and goodness, but to have these qualities, characteristics he must have others. Since He is love he has provided a way for all mankind. And since he is love, He loves those who follow His ways he will have to protect those he loves from those who are his enemies. At the end of life they are separated by how they lived and whom they followed. Ps 103:19 "the LORD has established His throne in heaven, And His kingdom rules over all.” This is why so many will not enter heaven when their life is finished, although they desire it. For if they do not love God on earth, but hate what he stands for, it will be worse in heaven where only He rules. They would not fit in, nor would they want to. Why would he give them access to eternal life when they wanted to live for themselves and sin? They have rejected God’s way, the only way to eternal life, through Jesus Christ. So God protects those who love and follow him by separating the two. One receives grace and mercy the other receives the judgment that he earned by his works. He wants people to receive his love but they choose not to. So he gives them not only what they want but what they deserve by their rejection. The fact is every crime, every misdeed will be solved, no one gets away with ANYTHING. 1 Peter 4:5 They will give an account to Him who is ready to judge the living and the dead.” Heb. 4:13 “ And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.” Eccl 3:15-17 That which is has already been, And what is to be has already been; And God requires an account of what is past . Moreover I saw under the sun: In the place of judgment, Wickedness was there; And in the place of righteousness, Iniquity was there. I said in my heart, " God shall judge the righteous and the wicked, For there is a time there for every purpose and for every work."
Keep us living by grace and in truth, especially in the times we live in. Immovable Lord, the rock that satisfies our thirst and feeds us daily bread to satisfy our hunger, may we go to only you who have the words of eternal life. |
